Yeah I think Klopp respects United too though, he's not just a typical Scouse manager that hates us.

I think he meant that City would not stop after putting 5 past us. If we were down to 10 men, Pep would probably add an attacker to their team and ask them to score even more. He seems more ruthless that way.
I'm going to feel sorry for Ole a little when he goes but the signs were there for everyone to see but its like he chalked up all the chances teams have been getting down to bad luck and didn't want to do anything about it. I had high hopes when he said something had to give, I thought we were changing formations but nope.
And to add to that: does anyone know the name of a single coach that Klopp or Pep use? Outside of Arteta and the geezer who left Klopp to unsuccessfully manage a Portuguese team? How about Simeone’s, or Hansi Flick’s?

Conte is perfect though because we'll just fire him at the end of the season if things go south, no club ties, volatile guy, will be a walk in the park compared to Ole's slow death.
Ye he just meant to give even more time for Mcfred to play. Picking those 2 constantly and not being able to get the best out of the star players has ultimately cost him

But he has never really struck me as a manager that valued that tactical nous highly. If he thought being able to press was important, why not implement it in the first year when he'd have a lot more leeway for this type of result?
Every club that tries to transition to a high pressing style will have a rough time and we're dealing with that now. Part of it is maybe McKenna and Carrick just not knowing how to implement it. Part of it is probably player buy-in but a pressing system doesn't need the best players in the world to start performing (if anything having the best players in the world is a bad thing for the collective).
He could've had a good high press with players like Lingard, Pereira, Fred, Rashford, Cavani etc. who all work very hard and yet he went for it when Ronaldo joined.

Where do you get any coach? Word of mouth, looking at coaching badges and how good they were in their class, People highly successful at U-23 management etc. McKenna ticked all the boxes but it just didn't work.
