I think he's gone before we next play.
It's not like he needs the money. If he loves the club as he states, he needs to walk now.
He has to go tonight, in the next few hours. Even our shambolic ownership should be able to see there's no coming back from this shit.

Exaclty mate. Fair play he came in and turned the feeling around the club. Had a decent go at it but clearly he’s so far away from a top coach or top manager. He knows he’s not got the capabilities to turn it around and therefore he needs to go.
Can’t stay in the job waiting for the sack when he’s had the history as a player.
Only question on timing should be focused on the run of games.
Risky to have new manager come in and get smashed until December. Hard to make an instant impact in tough games.
December is a very winnable run of games and then Jan transfer window, £100m could fix this shit in a major way.

I don't think we'll sack him. This club is disgusting. We are not a football club. We are governed by metrics that have nothing to do with the sport.
It has to be first thing tomorrow. It's over now. It wouldn't matter how many games he wins from here, he will never live down today: a crescendo of boos at half time and fans streaming out. He cannot survive a 0-5 to Liverpool, of all teams.

In another sense though, leaving Ole in charge for this run isn't a gamble.
It's suicidal. Maybe the new manager comes in and struggles at first, or maybe he hits the ground running.
If we keep Ole we know what's going to happen in the next few games, we're going to get hammered.

Will we get the same new manager bounce that Ole brought? I don’t think it’s that toxic in the dressing room but it could be. The Pogba situation is interesting the way he looked walking off.
It’s clear as hell that we aren’t ruthless enough as a club. Even though I love him, he needs to go after this. If the club doesn’t have the balls to do it then Solksjaer needs to resign. I doubt he will though as he will believe that he can turn this around.
With Spurs coming up, now is the time to bring in a manager who knows how to win. Either Zidane or Conte.
The thing is we won’t get any better results over the next run with Ole in charge than a random caretaker. Get rid of him now.

I still can't see him being sacked. A club with ambition would sack him, but the only ambition the owners seem to have is to keep the money flowing. I think he'll cling on and eventually get sacked for not making the Champions League next season. That'll hurt the owners much more than getting pumped by Liverpool.

My friend, we have arguably the best squad on the planet - we don't need to spend any more money.
I do agree though that a new manager may come in and get smashed against MCFC. So the timing of the sacking is not straightforward.
Perhaps sack him tomorrow, then put Carrick in charge until December, at which point bring in Zidane.
I just think that Ole needs to leave now because it is embarrassing for Ole to still be in the hot seat after performing so poorly and getting humiliated two weekends in a row.

The top 3 look a lot better than the rest and will surely open up a big gap. Leicester, Spurs, Arsenal, Everton etc don't look brilliant and I think we'll be in the mix for that 4th position for most of the season - unless it slips away from us, Ole will keep his job.

there's just no way he survives this. If they had lost 2-0 or something like that, sure ... but this? 5-0. At home. To Liverpool. On top of all the other bad results and close calls this season. There's no scenario in my head in which a United manager not named Ferguson keeps his job after that.

Then you get a Phelan or a Carrick to negotiate the bad run and appoint a caretaker to the end of the season soon after. Keeping Ole past this mess is not an option and it's not doing him any favors because I don't think the players will trust or respect him after this.
Some people select both. Assume the guilt of wanting a former player gone causes this.
