He can lose all 4 (he won't) and not get sacked. Most likely he'll only get sacked once top 4 is gone. Sad but true.

apologies, im not trying to have a dig st you either. Reality is i believe we have both the best clubs at heart, i don’t agree about digging at Solskjaer personally, one win like this won’t dissuade me from believing he isn’t the one to take us forward though. Believe me, i’m celebrating the win even if I don’t show it, i’m just trying to see the bigger picture
If we played every week like we did the second half 95% of this forum would be supporting Ole, but the reality is we don't. We've seen similar performances under Mourniho as well(3-2 vs Newcastle that kept his job for another month of prolonged misery)
I support Manchester United. I really do and that is the reason I want Ole gone.
I'm sick and tired of watching Moments FC pull out crucial wins not when we need to win something, but when Ole is on the chopping block.
Every fecking time when we are in the semis or finals, we don't see performances like these. But as soon as Ole is under pressure to lose his job, lo and behold we turn into prime SAF United.
I wouldn't mind this if my team actually played good football. But when looking at yesterdays 4-0 destruction of Borussia Dortmund by Ajax I'm reminded of what consistent good football looks like.
And then I'm being accused of not being a Top Read and "getting behind the manager and the team".
Well how the feck can I? I grew up watching SAF's Man Utd give 110% in almost every match and I know what our team is capable of. I know what a Top manager looks like. I know how a top team is supposed to play. I witnessed it with my own eyes. Ole is not a top manager. He will never be. Because of that he will never be able to set up Manchester United to play as a top team. It pains me to no end to see that my beloved Manchester United has literally turned into Liverpool from the 90's.
I want what's best for this team. And this team should be winning and be a top dog amongst Liverpool, City, Bayern, Real. We should be playing attractive balls to the wall football(have most of you lot forgot the 2006-2007 season?), not park the bus and hope we grind out a result against top teams.
For that reason I can't enjoy our win tonight. It's papering over the cracks of a severe illness we have in our club. That why regardless of tonight or Liverpool game for that matter, I want Ole and his mates gone.
Needs to get through the first game without a defeat, then we can all be more confident about the next 2.
Simple game by game job at the moment though.
I hope there is a serious chance of the sack during the break. Otherwise there's no hope for the season
As long as we stay in the champions league going into 2022 then we can do a Chelsea.
Still think his time is coming. Over the moon with that comeback mind, was a great watch but Ole is clearly not good enough.

I'm worried though about Liverpool game. They outclassed us back in May. Of course they needed to win more than us, our 2nd place was basically secured but far too many problems showed in that game. Both Liverpool and City game are at home and it actually makes me less optimistic about our chances. But if we play with enough energy and intensity then I can see us getting something from both games. If not, it's easy wins for them, especially with the way our defence has been this season.
They are a great playing team. With teams like that you always see how well drilled they are and also you notice that individually their players are not the best.
Great post and my exact feelings too. "Ole needed that win" is overshadowing what the club needs at this point and I'm tired of it.

Yea i think this is fair. If we played like we played after 30 minutes we would steamroll the lesser teams. But we dont. The Europa final was a case in point. We were terrible. And many performances mirror that match.
In a season were we were supposed to be challenging for the title too, anyone remember that? Feels like I'm going mad.

He says for some reason we start badly and it's a thing associated with the club, i think it is him. He got his line-up wrong again, why he persists with McFred is beyond but on Sunday, if Fred is not injured, we will see the same thing.

Yeah listen I’m not saying Ole is the man to take us forward after this season, just hate to see our fanbase more interested in hoping the manager gets sacked.
I know it’s far too patchy but when it clicks, the times we’ve seen glimpses of that, it doesn’t half feel like the United I remember. I don’t know if he can find that gear and sustain it but I enjoyed tonight, even at 2-0 down I thought we were creating and I had a very good feeling we would turn it around, didn’t have those moments under previous managers.
A draw is a terrible result consider we haven't won our last 3 in the Prem!
This game has bought him the rest of the season espescially if we get into the round of 16 and scrape a top 4 finish.
Not a chance if we get fisted by Liverpool, Chelsea and City in the next month or so.

Great post. A lot of people on this forum are seriously invested in Ole getting sacked, moreso now at this point than our team winning. Old Trafford was 100% behind him. There's some great twitter posts in these threads that call our club a soap opera and there's some truth in that, day to day you wonder what's next, and Liverpool on Sunday is another one of those.
But it's REALLY entertaining, and you could never say that about van Gaal or Mou, no matter the bs people might spout about them, they simply weren't right for us.
I see us narrowly loosing against Liverpool and/or Chelsea but not City. I agree a hammering of any kind would turn the tide against Ole.

I’m sick of going round and round on the never ending cycle of OGS. Good managers learn from their mistakes. Bad managers are doomed to repeat them.

He's bought some excitement back - at least I enjoy watching the madness. He's never going to win anything though - a bit deluded and naive. We'll get slaughtered against Liverpool if we play like that.
The majority by large think that the manager should be replaced but a small minority are obsessed with him getting sacked at the cost of us going down to Europa or worse a loss against Liverpool. On the other side there's a minority obsessed with Ole keeping his job over the long term success of Manchester United. There's some of both on each side.
You're already getting scorned by the t0p reds, but I think you're spot on. Really enjoyed the come back and delighted with the win, then after the game the harrowing realisation hit me that this might buy him more time. I don't trust our board to see the writing on the wall, I fully expect Woodward to be acting all smug tomorrow morning, thinking his faith in Ole was somehow dignified by that.
It is with the ridiculous expectation that the club is falling under despite the team's quality.

I still think it’s potentially very close. We play Liverpool, Tottenham, Atalanta Away ( by then they might have more first choice CB’s available) then City… but now I’m guessing by late November, probably after the Watford and Villarreal match or Chelsea the latest.

No chance he will go unless top 4 is mathematically impossible just like Moyes in 2014, my worry is that when it does eventually happen that there is no decent options still on the market so the club need to definitely consider that
