Is Ole a good appointment?

We had a great defensive shape throughout the game when soaking up pressure which was a worry for me with OGS. I knew he would play attacking football (he's known as the most attacking coach in Europe at Molde), but I wondered how he would approach big games. Impressive so far.

He deserves the manager spot unless something catastrophic happens between now and the end of the season. I hope he's good in the market if he stays because we need at least 6 starters over the next 2 years.

The first time since Sir Alex left this just feels like the Manchester United we all knew and fell in love with.
I’m enjoying every minute so far!

Ole looks the real deal.

Can we ban everyone who voted "NO" to the question if he was a good appointment :)

If Ole doesn’t get the job after this, then the next guy will have an even harder act to follow than Moyes did after all that’s happened since 2013.

Thought we'd lose that game...

This is starting to turn into some kind of phenomenon. It's incredible.

I'm really starting to lean towards giving him the role permanently - something I was really, genuinely against when he was initially appointed.

Any other initial cynics that are starting to lean toward giving it to him?

His job to lose now I think.

Pochettino would be a bit of a comedown at this stage. Would honestly rather Zidane if we insist on a new coach.

I'm on the Ole train. Had a lot of doubts when he was installed. But apart from being the most likeable person in football he simply seems to affect everyone positively, which translates into performances and togetherness.

I was adamant about not being suckered in by romanticism but it is just so great to see how much he loves the club.

Get a structure in place with competent people and sideline Woodward from football operations and we're as good as can be under the current ownership.

8 in a row. I am always a negative bastard in the match thread, but I am happy as a motherfecker right now. The greatest winning streak in all of sports today continues! The Norwegian Express cannot be stopped! Choo Choo Motherfecker!

OLE IN!

Fantastic counter attacking performance from Ole. That tactic to leave Lukaku as the out ball out wide worked a charm and won us the game.

The form is exceptional and very crucial with Liverpool and PSG coming up.

OLE

I want to see how he picks the lads up after a defeat, but up to now OGS has been faultless. I'm always weary of legends becoming a manager in case it doesn't work out and then tarnishes the relationship they once had with the fans, but OGS is certainly giving United a hard decision here, fair play to him. Love the fella.
Whats a defeat

Me.

The positivity he inspires is something else altogether.

Second game we used the diamond away against a "top" team; the first being Spurs. Worked like a charm. OGS gets a lot of cred for his man management and installing positivity in the squad; but he is shaping up to be quite the tactician as well. I think we will go like this against PSG and the scousers as well; and damn it if I dont think we will beat both of them...

I can't wait for the PSG games. We're winning that round.

Won't get carried away but He's done really well so far. I liked how He said something along the lines of "We've beaten our tests but what We haven't shown is how to react after a goal down" post Tottenham match.

He's a very realistic manager. He expects to win every games but know We can't play perfectly all the time. Plays attacking football but also pragmatic. Mini Sir Alex .

Another legacy in the making. Busby, Fergie and Ole.
Beautiful Football.
He is perfecting playing on the counter.
Improving our defense.

The Supporters and players will be wanting him here for good.

The board cannot appoint anyone better.

For me, if he gets anything out of the PSG, LFC, and City games, then there is nothing else anybody could have done better.

Must say, as a neutral, this is extraordinary, quite an interesting phenomenon to follow. Will probably want to see a few United games from now on, having being disilusioned and bored woth football for a couple of years already.

You should just to see some interesting set up and good counterattacking football.

The best reason to see united games is because we can be good to watch

Deserves all the plaudits and then some.

However, I know I'm being greedy here but I'd like to see more control. Specifically midfield control.

If by the end of the season we can impose ourselves against teams like Arsenal/Spurs/City/Liverpool by counter pressing and dominating periods of the game when we're the ones being pressed, that will really impress me.

Conceding possession and playing on the counter attack is extremely pragmatic and all you can hope for after only a month or so coaching, so I get that. It's just Matic, Pogba and Herrera should really be able to dominate midfields one-to-one and control games against Spur's and Arsenal's midfield easily if we set up for it.

Defensively, our line needs to be higher and more aggressive. Then our team pressing can be more tighter/tactical. Right now we are being coached very smartly by relying on fundamentals, good man management and individual brilliance/ability across the pitch.

I feel like we’re better than any opposition.

When we attack we look like scoring.

We’re not desperate anymore.
