Don't let the stats fool you, we could had played another 90 minutes and still wouldnt had scored.
We lack creativity and a proper system, we play as an improvised team on attack.
You clearly didn't watch the game.

Hm, changing a formation is not an option for you? 4231 or die?
You clearly didn't watch the game.
I think it's the other way around on this one. If the kid didn't pull that one goal out of nothing we would have lost, we were toothless. You clearly didn't watch the game.
Maybe you should be our manager, you obviously have it all sussed out.
Makes you wonder if he brought Greenwood on earlier would we have won. That is my biggest complaint, just wish he would be quicker with his subs. You clearly didn't watch the game.
Well, you can't be worse than OleMaybe you should be our manager, you obviously have it all sussed out.
I wish I was as optimistic as you, mate! For me, I just can't see how we're going to break these teams that sit back down with our current tactics, and that's been a problem for a long time now.We didn't create many clear-cut opportunities, I agree, but that's quite often the case when you're faced with a team that throws 11 men behind the ball. That said, we had a fair few decent chances that you would hope to see converted more often than not. But that wasn't the problem today, for me, it was the sheer number of efforts we took from the 18-yard line today that were tamely struck or ended in row Z. That's not on Ole or the coaching staff, that's just a young striker having a bad day at the office.
We win that game by a large margin on another day.
Yup. Nothing was working with Jese and should have been subbed at half time.Makes you wonder if he brought Greenwood on earlier would we have won. That is my biggest complaint, just wish he would be quicker with his subs.
Hope Ole learns and realises Lingard shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. I don't know if it's because it's his personal issues or if he's just a bad player, but United can't suffer because of him. Greenwood is much more capable than Lingard atm.Yup. Nothing was working with Jese and should have been subbed at half time.
I bet he will get the same points as Ole.Maybe you should be our manager, you obviously have it all sussed out.
When did I say that ? But you are telling me a top coach doesn’t get the best out of players ? we have 2 wins out of 11 against the bottom 13 sides. If you doubled our points tally we be only top by a point.Did you forget about Rio, Vidic, Rooney, RVP etc in that list? Top managers get the best out of players yes, but they don’t turn Lingard into Mane.

Nobody expected us to challenge but 25 points in 17 games is awful. I don’t think a top manager would turn Lingard into Mane but they be doing better than Ole

. Come on man, this at least was funnyThat’s what I get for debating with 12 year olds. Goodbye.
You have no sense of humorThat’s what I get for debating with 12 year olds. Goodbye.
It was infuriatingly predictable that that would happen today but still of the opinion that our problems will change with a couple of creative players.
We’ve got a team full of direct runners. Of course a coach always has to take part of the blame but at the end of the day you need a certain type of player to break teams down, and we don’t really have it, especially without Pogba.

The overreaction in this thread is ridiculous. We dominated the game from start to finish and the match statistics back that up:
Possession: United 67% - Everton 33%
Shots: United 24 - Everton 8
Shots on Target: United 8 - Everton 3
We more than deserved to win the game, but it didn't work out that way for several reasons, mostly the poor finishing/wayward shooting of our frontmen.
But that's football sometimes, you don't always get what you deserve.
Talking about the last minutes palerrr we did score do how'd you work that out?
Makes you wonder if he brought Greenwood on earlier would we have won. That is my biggest complaint, just wish he would be quicker with his subs.
"No player is bigger than the club except the ex-player whose success is more important than the success of the club!"The buck stops with the manager. Always has done. Unless it's a legendary ex player apparently.

Aside from the big teams where we've been expected to counter, there have been brief periods in games where we've looked really good at attacking like against Brighton and Norwich, but they've been very rare. I'd want to see us playing like that on a more regular basis before I start thinking we're on the right track there.
Hopefully we improve at breaking teams down when Pogba returns. We'll obviously do better because Pogba can create as well as anyone, but, even before his injury, we were struggling at this aspect of the game with him in the side so I don't think it's a guarantee either.
He might be looking to the Carabao Cup game for Greenwood.Yeah, Lingard was appalling today. Very disappointing after his recent good performances. Number 10 is a problem position for us, no doubt, especially if Ole plans to stick with the 4231 for the remainder of the season, and he most likely will. It's even more of a problem when you consider the options available for that role consist of Lingard, Periera, and Mata. Pogba can't return from injury soon enough.
Ole could have brought Greenwood on sooner, but you get the feeling he is protecting him as best he can. But you can't block a freight train, and young Daddy is crying out for an extended run in the team. He's bound to get it before the season ends.
Out of Perreira and Lingard who has contributed more with respect to goals and assists over the past year? Lingard is the worst of a bad bunch. Unless your definition of best means running alot.Try to find another way? The alternatives are Mata and Perreira. Lingard is the best of a bad bunch until we get a suitable replacement.
Sometimes implies that this doesn’t happen frequently and it’s been happening all season long as well as the end of last season. The sometimes is the wins against Spurs and City.
Well, the problem is that every time we dominate the game in terms of possession, we fail to win.
You can't say "that's football sometimes" if it happens every bloody time.
Every time we do "more than enough to win the games" we fail to win the game. I mean there has to be something in there, doesn't it?We're doing more than enough to win the games in terms of possession and controlling the game, comfortably, but we lack that creative spark in the center of the pitch. Pogba should, hopefully, provide that when he returns from injury.
You have to take into account that even with our best first 11 on the pitch (which we have been unable to produce since the second game of the season) we're barely an above average side. We're very much a work in progress.
Every time we do "more than enough to win the games" we fail to win the game. I mean there has to be something in there, doesn't it?
People are throwing phrases like "young and inconsistent team" around constantly, but I would argue that we are very consistently good against good teams and very consistently poor against the poor sides. That's not a sign of a good team. That's the sign of a mid-table team with an ability to raise its game and counter-attack against teams that pressure them. We're basically a one-trick pony, and that one trick is unfortunately only working against the minority of the sides in the league.
