Sneaky bum time - Vaccination status: dozed off
The only thing I can be positive about with Ole is his signings. Even then, I was positive about more than that with LVg and Mourinho at the end. What a waste of a season.
Selling him was not the issue. He had to go. Not replacing him is the fecked up part.Call Lukaku a big lump of shite all you want.
But had Ole kept him, We would have scored more, won more points and helped with Martial injury + Rashford missing his shooting boots, the thing that was inevitable to happen. He might not be the answer for long term, for Ole, but Ole's decision to sell him after assessing him only for a few months is madness when there were no proven goalscorers available. He's still in a good age as well, which means his price won't be reduced for too much even if He barely plays, given his goal scoring records.
He can be the 2nd CF at the very least, with Rashford going back to the left. Yes, He's limited. So is the squad. He can be shite at fluid football (or whatever it's called with) and scores ugly goals from ugly plays but We badly need a goal scorer. He gives us option other than playing a counter attacking football. Different type of striker than Martial/Rashford. Wasn't this the reason why We signed him? to get a goal scorer that also gives our play more variations?
Trusting Mason to somehow carry us is naive. We were going into the season with 2 CFs, who have spent the majority of their ManUnited career on the left. It's a genius move.
I'd like to know what these supposed 'patterns' are that we've been practicing in training.
Watching the interview it does feel like we've exchanged the worst kind of pessimist/realist in Jose for the most extreme optimist in Ole.
There must be a happy medium somewhere

I think most of the people like myself that aren't with "it's all Ole's fault" see it as a combination of things, not one person or thing to scapegoat. One question for those saying Ole is not to blame. What does that even mean?
From that I can only read that you believe he does/would do good in different circumstances, but my question is, you base that on what exactly? Not going to call anyone out in particular, but whoever thinks sacking Ole and replacing him with someone like Pochettino/ten Hag/Nagelsmann/Tuchel/virtually any progressive manager is "not worthy", has absolutely no knowledge of football. Sad to say it, but that's exactly what it comes to.

To be fair this wretched form started at the end of last season long before he was sold. Lukaku a service dependent striker was already looking even worse in this impotent attackCall Lukaku a big lump of shite all you want.

No big club in world football would put up with this shite & awful manager.
Only us. It smacks of arrogance to be honest & we deserve every piss poor performance we get
Don't worry mate. Our board backed David Moyes and said he had a 6-yr contract. Our board backed LVG then fired him the day after winning the FA Cup as we didn't finish in the top four.
Once Ole takes us into the relegation zone and our public image takes an even bigger hit....once the sponsors start sending Ed emails and other contact demanding an explanation for our spiral into relegation contenders.....once those stakeholder meetings become even more uncomfortable to deliver...…..Ed will do what he always does, and he will fire the manager. Don't worry, it's coming before November.
Why in the world should a club as supposedly big as Man United wait for a failing manager to dump them in relegation places before they fire him? I'm imagining top, ambitious clubs enduring that..
You answered yourself in the post above. We aren't acting like a big club anymore and we haven't since 2013. We are regressing. No, no big club would stand for this - a real big club would have thanked Ole and released him in the summer having spent his tenure since last December scouting a permanent manager.
We have best defence because we do have very good players there and excellent gk but also because we play defensive football. This what we play is very close to park the bus approach
I try to convince myself that Ole saying it was his decision not to buy any midfielders or attackers in the summer is to protect the owners, however part of me does wonder if he really did make that daft decision.
I also think someone needs to tell Ole there are players outside of the UK who are cheaper to buy and generally better quality, this purely british thing is a ridiculous idea and needs to stop before it's too late for him.

This makes me sad. What a club should be vs what it has been reduced to. I feel so emotionless about everything related to us currently. I follow Redcafe more than I watch our games. We have a big mountain of mindset change to get back to the top echelons of world football. There are no standards anymore at the club. Certain fans have no standards anymore and would rather be labelled 'Top fans' than seek to put an end to this mess. The matchgoing fans I hold responsible too. We have the nicest fans in the world and this correlates with our unambitious nature since 2013. No accountability at the board level too.
Yep I’m losing that emotion too, Woodward seems happy with Ole & the mess we’re in. So if the board don’t care about the club & are happy for us to be churning out soulless shite every week why should I care?
He can’t seriously watch our games as he seems to think we’re playing good football and Ole is the man. We are fcked & we deserve it as we’re stupid
I think with the British idea he will maybe have to compromise a bit of talent for a better attitude. Six of one half a dozen of another. Henderson doesn’t get near to Pogba on a footballing level but Pogba’s attitude stinks the place out, Henderson is the captain and heart beat of a relentless side that rarely draws never mind loses.
Longstaff or Fred ? Fred probably has more in his locker but Longstaff looks streets ahead mentally. He has to be careful not to go overboard with the British thinking and as long as it’s harnessed properly I can see the worthiness in it.
We would probably end up hiring him full time again with a few good results and abit of runningWe should sack Ole then bring him back as interim manager.
I doubt he’s happy. He may not care about the football but he’ll be hating the loss of face. He’ll be working on a plan to minimise that at least.Yep I’m losing that emotion too, Woodward seems happy with Ole & the mess we’re in. Take your cue from the local matchgoing fanbase. If they are not demnading Ole go, the wider fanbase has little to no right to demand so. Why do you think they are more patient?

Then you do not understand the club. It's not your fault, but you'll never get it. Btw - chastising matchgoers (many of whom have generational ties to the club) as 'top reds' is utterly imbecilic. It's embarrassing for supposed fans to use that term about other fans.Utter rubbish. I don’t care if the top reds attending games are stupid enough to not see how shite Ole is.
Oh & I have every right to do so. Supported them since I was a little boy so they’re my club too

If enough of the people that have been buying tickets long enough to actually be able to get tickets pay £80 and have the same opinion, yes.So if you pay 80quid you have the right to demand anything?

I don't think even Henderson's mom could honestly say that he's the heart beat of that Liverpool team. You put Fernadinho the foreigner there for him, Liverpool won't suffer. And he's been there since Liverpool was shite also.I think with the British idea he will maybe have to compromise a bit of talent for a better attitude. Six of one half a dozen of another.
