The only thing I can be positive about with Ole is his signings. Even then, I was positive about more than that with LVg and Mourinho at the end. What a waste of a season.

Call Lukaku a big lump of shite all you want.
But had Ole kept him, We would have scored more, won more points and helped with Martial injury + Rashford missing his shooting boots, the thing that was inevitable to happen. He might not be the answer for long term, for Ole, but Ole's decision to sell him after assessing him only for a few months is madness when there were no proven goalscorers available. He's still in a good age as well, which means his price won't be reduced for too much even if He barely plays, given his goal scoring records.
He can be the 2nd CF at the very least, with Rashford going back to the left. Yes, He's limited. So is the squad. He can be shite at fluid football (or whatever it's called with) and scores ugly goals from ugly plays but We badly need a goal scorer. He gives us option other than playing a counter attacking football. Different type of striker than Martial/Rashford. Wasn't this the reason why We signed him? to get a goal scorer that also gives our play more variations?
Trusting Mason to somehow carry us is naive. We were going into the season with 2 CFs, who have spent the majority of their ManUnited career on the left. It's a genius move.

Selling him was not the issue. He had to go. Not replacing him is the fecked up part.

I think most of the people like myself that aren't with "it's all Ole's fault" see it as a combination of things, not one person or thing to scapegoat.
First you have a fairly mediocre squad, then we've had a mountain of injuries, and a lot of players are just not in form. Is Ole partially to blame for some of this? Surely but he's not the only issue. That's all. We clearly needed to get an attacking or creative mid-field player and a striker, and who's ultimate call was that? Not sure myself, but that was a horrible mistake as well.

Apart from history, fanbase and finances, are we really a big FOOTBALL club? Been years I classed us as such. Poor decision making and sentiments have ruined us.

You answered yourself in the post above. We aren't acting like a big club anymore and we haven't since 2013. We are regressing. No, no big club would stand for this - a real big club would have thanked Ole and released him in the summer having spent his tenure since last December scouting a permanent manager.
This makes me sad. What a club should be vs what it has been reduced to. I feel so emotionless about everything related to us currently. I follow Redcafe more than I watch our games. We have a big mountain of mindset change to get back to the top echelons of world football. There are no standards anymore at the club. Certain fans have no standards anymore and would rather be labelled 'Top fans' than seek to put an end to this mess. The matchgoing fans I hold responsible too. We have the nicest fans in the world and this correlates with our unambitious nature since 2013. No accountability at the board level too.
I don't agree with that. We've a group of average midfielders who can't do much more than keep it simple but I don't think our set up or intention is defensive at all. I expect the style to improve once we can bring in a couple of better midfielders.
I try to convince myself that Ole saying it was his decision not to buy any midfielders or attackers in the summer is to protect the owners,however part of me does wonder if he really did make that daft decision.
I also think someone needs to tell Ole there are players outside of the UK who are cheaper to buy and generally better quality,this purely british thing is a ridiculous idea and needs to stop before it's too late for him.

We should sack Ole then bring him back as interim manager.
Not only this but half the PL is better than us. Most of them would be an upgrade on what we have. The world class players are not going to come to play for Ole and Manchester United, especially one who is guaranteed not to be playing in the CL next season and to play for an unsuccessful manager.
Even SAF at his peak could not get everyone he wanted to come to play for him and United.
I hate to say that Ole is delusional if he thinks he can get this world class talented players.

I am not averse to some British players in the team,however when there are players in europe available cheaper who have same attitude and better skill level then surely it's a no brainer
This is where a director of football comes into their own but unfortunately our board just cannot see that way of thinking. They can often unearth some top european talent before they make it big and price goes through the roof.

There are mixed messages coming out of the club. If they said we are in a rebuild, we might not get back to winning for a while, we are asking Ole to do that rebuild and are going to be patient with him. Fans would probably accept it. The problem starts when Woodward keeps coming out with United are about winning trophies etc. When at the moment that is not going to be the case and it is putting untold pressure on Ole that doesn't need to be there. Why can't Woodward admit they made mistakes and are now trying to get back to basics and we are starting again?
