This is Sunday league football. How anyone watching this can maintain faith that Ole will turn this around is beyond me. I really hope Ed’s BS about long term is just for the sake of selling those United shares because this is unbearable, worse than Moyes at this point.

Anyone else feel like this is the football of Moyes, LVG and Jose compiled into one? It’s horrendous.
Yeah, pretty much. The snail's pace of LVG, the static, uncoordinated attacking of Jose and the stench of desperation that we had under Moyes. It's a proper sh1t sandwich.

Yeah this is pretty bad. Struggling to beat Astana and Rochdale at home. I’m not seeing a style of play or anything. He’s had a pre season as well as half of last season to do things and get things his way but I’m not seeing any different, let alone exciting.

It won’t taint him in my eyes as a player or a person, but he just isn’t cut out at this level at all as a manager.

The match is a dire picture of Ole's management.

No defined styled. Tactically all over the place, with players game after game stinking it up playing out of position. It's obvious we do little to no training ground work on attacking movement and patterns. The press has all but disappeared, or is implemented in the most half arsed manner.

We are awful.

Rochdale look well coached. You can see what they want to do and you can see they have worked on something tactically.

But it's all a process....believe in Ole's process. :wenger:

Meanwhile Chelsea are winning 4-1.

Then there were some who said they are worse than us:lol::lol:. Shows that you don't need infinite number of excuses to lay an imprint on the squad when there's another manager who is doing great without even a transfer window.

Either our players are the stupidest bunch of imbeciles ever assembled, incapable of retaining even a sliver of enough tactical instruction and coaching in an entire 10 months to beat League One relegation contenders at home... or, Ole isn’t actually very good at tactical instruction or coaching, in an era where it’s never been more important... either way we’re really fecked.

We created two chances from crosses but I still can't find any pattern as to what we're trying to do when we have possession, it's all too static.

Hopefully we can somehow score 1 goal and progress through the next round :nervous:

This is even worse than anything those managers' teams served up. It's only fitting that it's the case as Ole can't hold a candle to those managers. Yes, even Moyes was a better manager than him.

It's both.

Exactly this is needed to be asked with most deluded ones on here. Long term goals are achieved when there are any signs of progress. We are worse than Jose.
Exactly this. When you see blatant regression, you simply have no leg to stand on when defending Ole.

I won’t have negative feelings towards him even if he gotten us relegated, will always love Ole but he’s the worst manager we’ve had since 2013.
It’s not going to work out, we all know how this is going to end, he is way way out of his depth, he won’t be here in December, that’s another season down the drain.

I fear for him.

Don't.

He's a successful and loved multi-millionaire who's been given a job opportunity that he doesn't deserve.

I hope he's successful here, for the club's sake - but if he isn't good enough, I'll wish him well, as with Moyes, LvG and Mourinho and move on.

Don't pity him, there are people on Earth and in society that deserve pity. Solskjaer is in a very, very privileged position.

We will appoint another caretaker, promise a dof, go on a winning run and then the caretaker gets the job. We drop off and the boom bust cycle repeats itself

My God this guy's coaching is so poor along with his out of date kick and rush tactics, this the guy that couldn't handle the championship and you wonder why he's struggling against a league 1 side, this his level, this is about the level of the Norwegian league.

Can we get rid of this old boys network at the club and get up to speed with modern football.

Well yeah, we took a crap team and made it worse over the summer apart from at the back. We were bound to have an abject season.

Not that this excuses being as shit as we have been this past week, but anyone that thought we'd have a good season when the transfer window closed was always deluding themselves.

It's thinking we should see long term results after two monthes of a managers first summer window
Do you think we will suddenly start playing squash buckling football? Tell me what kind of football are you seeing today or against Astana. I'm not even bothered discussing epl games.

Hop over to the game at Stamford bridge and tell me that Lampard who didn't even get a chance at the transfer window needs these types of excuses.

It's more deluded to throw a mammoth rebuilding job and hundreds of millions of pounds at risk to a manager completely unproven at this level.

We can all rightfully moan at the board and the owners for penny pinching, not buying players, failing on promises they made in public, being more focused on winning the balance sheet league table.

But they aren’t out on the training ground every morning doing whatever the feck happens in training judging on recent performances. Is it just a fecking casual kick about with mates? Boot bags for goal posts? A quick game of red arse at the end? Home for tea at 4?

He's simply not up to it. Said it when our bad run started at the end of last season. What's the point?

Do you think Ole is going to turn out to be a Fergie-esque manager...?

I think we should give him a chance especially as he is the first manager since Fergie to actually think about long term rather than throw money on players who didn't even want to be here

We still are a Jose side by structure. Nothing new has been added. It's just deteriorating as time goes on. I didn't expect any less though. Ole has no credentials to manage us, Phelan was ''Consultant Sporting Director'' in Australia and the less said about Carrick & McKenna, the better.

It really looks like running is the only thing we worked on all pre-season and they can't even work on that properly considering the lack of intensity we have played with all season. They couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

We are going nowhere with him in charge.

The fraud needs to go and he can take his clown squad with him.

Thinking long term does not mean a novice should be at the helm of one of the biggest jobs in football. Get real.

How anyone can sit there and think this is acceptable is beyond me. He needs to go. It's not going to get better with time.

Ole's one of my favorite United players ever and one of my favorite football period period but it's obvious he's on borrowed time. Only a minor miracle will keep him here next season. I still say though, might as well ride it out until the end of the season or if Poch becomes available otherwise we hire someone too quick and then get the new manager kick and then back to this shite after a contract is given.
