Pathetic... The club made a mistake when they hired Jose. They made a much bigger mistake when they fired him. And then they made a HUGE mistake by hiring Ole.

It never looks good after a bad loss. As long as we are in the mix by new year I'll remain hopeful. I've said it before, everyone's going to get beat a good few times in this division.

Im only speaking of our general play all season. Nothing to do with todays result which was expected

You know who else didn't get to spend 200m in the summer? West ham and Crystal Palace's managers. Should give them a call
This.:lol:. I am sick of that excuse how shit our team are. Like we are fecking Cardiff with total dross in team. Nobody on this forum and fans in general are expecting from this team to be champion but come on, beating weaker teams than us should be some minimum standard.

Or creating chances at least. I don't ask much. Just few nicely created chances per game

He accepted getting rid of three of our most important players the last 3 years in Herrera, Fellaini and Lukaku without getting any replacements.

You can argue about their quality all you want but they're still more proven and unquestionably performed better than the players who are taking their positions now.

Add to that loaning out Smalling and Sanchez and you have to wonder what the hall was he thinking?

He had absolutely no idea how to operate a squad for a club like Manchester United and those mistakes will still have their effect even after he's sacked.

Who do you play instead Rojo? Plus the lack of pressing is what caused the first goal

All the talk about youth. Play someone who's got a fresh slate. Ashley Young is a has been, no matter how many times he wants to berate his teammates, acting the big man.

I don't think he's up to the task.

  • Team looks poorly coached.
  • No real style of play. No cohesion.
  • He seems to think Lingard and Periera are good enough.
  • 130 million on the defence but how good is it really?
  • Little focused in midfield and possession. And this didn't about personnel. See us last season as well. All the focus is on fast pace attack. No nuance, no quality possession. It's been this way since he took over. Don't think he knows how to do possession.
  • Mata!? Fecking Mata is a valued starter in 2019.
  • McTominay is a first choice CM. Decent and all but come on.
  • Shouldn't have let Smalling go. Daft as feck.

Pretty much

How can a manager of Manchester United expect the team to play well when he played Matic, Pereira and Mata together? Did Ole expect they will suddenly become so much better with the ball and pressing and will transform our attack?

Tuchel would develop players and knows his tactics. IF we get part ways with Ole I hope the board goes with Tuchel. He’s more progressive than Poch

I am disappointed this season. Ole gave us hope when he first came, we saw our players’ desire for victory, we saw the difference between Mourinho’s boring football and Ole’s attacking football.
But now, Mourinho is right. He said Ole playing same tactic as him.....right, Mourinho’s Matic plus Fellaini now changed to Matic plus Mctominay.....BORING.....BUS PARKING.

I am really disappointed with Ole. Double M give us zero engery in midfield, they are doing nothing with defense nor attack, just walking around in midfield.

Disappointed. As I said in the past, I prefer a lose with pride rather than ONE point with shame.

Maybe they are not good enough yet. You did see some didnt exactly pull up trees vs Astana

You make a good point. The focus on results is one thing, the way we play is shocking.
Results don't appear by magic, the quality of football has to increase significantly for that.

He keeps sticking to 4231 hoping it will work when it's clearly evident it ain't. We have a load of injuries and therefore he should be looking to change the formation to help cope with that.

We're just sort of painfully average under him and that's unlikely to change. If Spurs and Chelsea don't do a lot this season we could still lumber along to a mid-60s points tally CL challenge, but that really shouldn't be our sum of ambition. Results like this just aren't particularly surprising or unusual at this point: just a decent mid-table side beating a glorified upper mid-table side in a standard home match for them.

I know we lack options, but his persistence with some of players despite their form is beyond baffling.

You can't possibly expect me to list all the players Moyes had and compared them to Ole's?

No which is why I pointed out the examples of the 2 you mentioned.

Even an RVP who was injured and past it

If we start calling for the manager to be sacked after every poor run of matches, then we will end up like Everton. I dread to think of that scenario happening.

Not sure if Ole is the right choice or not, but we really need to start backing our managers through thick and thin. We chased out LvG (who I thought was decent, though football was garbage), got rid of Mourinho and now are turning against a club legend.

How long has it been since Paris? 25 games? Thats not a run. The run was the first 13 games from which he was stupidily appointed. Either way, if he can be appointed after a run, he can also be sacked.

Solskjaer may well not be up to the job. It would hardly be surprising given that nothing about his managerial career suggested he was good enough for the role in the first place.

However, we have more fundamental problems at the club. Solskjaer would be the fourth manager to fail here. At that point, the problem isn't the individual managers.

I have no issue with people wanting Solskjaer gone, as long as change in the structure above the manager is the first priority. Without that changing managers again is utterly, utterly pointless.

People suggesting Tuchel :wenger:

What makes you think he'll leave an attack of MBappe, Cavani, Neymar, Icardi, CL football and easy league wins at PSG for us right now?

Would want someone less caustic than Tuchel. Would also hope that whoever we bring in is afforded the ability to completely clean house throughout our coaching ranks.

The job seems to much for him. But he has to learn, and see this through.

But he is coming across as someone who is not quite sure what he is trying to do. We need confidence and I can't see this coming from Ole. And he must take responsibility for his demeanour and his performance.

He's apparently tactically an elite coach so he'd be exactly what we need. Which means we won't get him of course.

Although why would he leave PSG now!?

We need a proper coah manager. The kind of manager we thought LVG would be.

I don't even know what you're on about.

Here's a summary, Moyes took over the league champions, players deserving of playing for Man Utd. Ole took over a bunch of footballers who finished 6th, who happened to play for Man Utd.

He should never have been given the job. The club said they wouldn't put a manager in place until the end of the season. We hadn't even seen Ole go through a tough patch to see how he would cope.

Appointing him was a stupid decision made by a stupid club.

I'm yet to see anything different in how we play to the setup under Mou, there's a lot of talk about pressing but it seems like we just chase lost causes more (which ramps up our stats) we don't actually do any pressing as a unit which is the whoe point. This needs to be coached and does take time but I would have thought we'd start to see something a bit different by now.

Thats a key point in the coaching ranks

It's relegation form at the moment. Why people want to defend ole as manager is bizarre. I loved ole as player, but as a manager it's becoming a disaster that needs to end.
Yeah we're in a miserable shape. But the board won't be brave. It's a project, youth, long term, work in progress and all that jazz.

Said it before that Ole's biggest mistake is spending 90% (out of 150m) of his transfer budget on defenders. Adding 130m worth players to attack is more influencing than adding that to our existed defence.

He bought that stupid idea about better defense will allow this team to score more.

Ole isn't a proper manager if the board decided to make the squad paper thin against his wishes or he is naive at best.
