Who's actually available to them? Seems that most good managers are tied up and they don't really a choice.
And who's actually available to us? ANd why would they want to join this mess headed by Woodward.

Looks like Chelsea are taking a similar approach with Frank Lampard, despite all the great replacements available with better CVs. Another club guided by nostalgia?
Ole seems like a veteran compared to Lampard now , still not convinced Lamps will get the job though..

Imagine you trying to argue that Ole had nothing to do with contract extensions to Jones and Young. Thats some batshit bullshit stuff.

Did you expect him to say "I don't have any say in anything".

And somehow caretaker manager with less than 10 games in charge all of a sudden offered contract to Jones and Young.
Classic

One wonders were they pull this stuff from. Out of all the valid arguments against Ole, they'll use rubbish like this.

Fellaini gets sold weeks after Ole arrives and it’s all down to Ole. Young, Smalling, Jones new contracts months later no that’s nothing to do with Ole it’s all the board.

How does it matter if Young sits on the bench for a year? After Ole took over he was our captain, usually you don't just throw your captain away, especially for a new manager. Best case scenario, Young gets replaced by Laird, is it so bad to have a experienced player that a up and coming fullback can look up to?

I hope not a single one of our young players looks up to Young.

And boy did he get that round the wrong way, say what you want about fellaini but he would have put up a far better fight than we saw from the team in the last 2 or 3 months and I could understand if Solskjear was going to revamp the style of how the team played in a more progressive way but he constantly picked Mr mobile Matic whenever he was fit and his counter attacking, kick and run tactics which was basically the sort of thing you saw from everton under Moyes which Fellaini flourished under, shows the blind favouritism that Solskjear has towards certain players that he was around at the club years and years ago.

Why not? He is a 100% professional player dedicated to the club.
He’s a poor player at this level, and plays irresponsibly in defense and represents how far the club has fallen, but I suppose with the state at the club with all drama and the social media nonsense, being a good pro is good enough to be an example for younger players.

Ole reminds me of Steve Staunton when he got the Ireland job. Totally out of his depth and really stunned that he got the job. I’d say his contribution to important player recruitment decisions is minimal, Ed and co know that he’s just happy to be in the job and won’t rock the boat.

If he lasts until Christmas I’ll be amazed.

Oh yes! Team wins first run of games and is playing well its all because of Ole, team end up playing shite loses form every single crap team its nothing to do with Ole its not his team.

Team has played crap for every manager that they've ever had since being at United.

As poor as he might be, he played 180 games for us, im sure he picked up on a few things. You know, Young been around since the day of SAF, don't you think he can represent what the club used to be for young players coming through. Would it not be useful for a young player to know what requirement SAF had back in the day, and get to know it from someone first hand? Its not like Ashley Young is single handedly going to teach our talents how to defend.

Team plays well and it's all down to luck and the new manager bounce. Team plays poorly and it's all down to Ole, tactically clueless, Moyes 2.0, etc.

Somehow Ole was controlling Smalling's contract from Molde.

Exactly. Wonder which caretaker manager ever offered contracts to players when players/manager isn't sure who the manger will be next season. Funny some even blamed Ole for Smalling's contract which was signed before Ole was even named as caretaker manager.

I don't think any manager since SAF has had a say on contracts! For the owners, it's all about keeping their value! Woodward gave those players new contracts, not ole

It's hilarious, when we keep value of jones and Mata young while loosing value of Herrera and possibly de gea.

Ok, so by that rationale - Ole would be totally free to sell the deadwood who recently got new contracts...

Indeed, if it's about 'keeping their value', then I guess the club would actually be keen to sell them now that they've just extended contracts and have 'peak value'...?

Yeah, let's see how that plays out...

No, not all. Considering Ole is coming out with the whole young and hungry players, and right fit and all. Do you really think he would sell any of those players that SAF signed, doesn't matter how shait or old they are. Don't think he would. Selling young, smalling and Jones would be like Ole tearing out the heart out of SAF's man utd! That's why I think he is destined for failure! You cannot bring back the Utd of the SAF era by replicating everything the great man did! All the players wearing suits everywhere they go, signing young British talent hoping they will become the next class of 92'. Showing videos of the 1999 season as inspiration! Football has changed!
All the top managers have their own style. And more importantly they are their own person!

But somehow he barely played Valencia and asked him to leave the club, SAF's best player among Valencia, Young, Smalling and Jones.

Cool. I made a mistake adding Smalling to that list... point still stands. Fellaini gets sold it’s all down to Ole, Young and Jones get new contracts no that’s the board don’t blame Ole.

Our most critical rebuild in modern history is being left to a guy whose previous track record in the EPL was a disaster. As things are going the rebuild isn’t going too well and we’re already worse off then when the season ended ... deadwood like Jones and Young are staying, but out goes Herrera, probably Pogba, maybe De Gea. 3 of our best players.

Everyone has different opinions but for me Herrera is a pit bull that also has talent and he played with passion. He’s also been the common denominator in all of our big wins over the past few seasons. People who think he doesn’t have talent are same people who watch PSG once or twice a year and can’t figure out why Verratti is so highly rated. (Not comparing the two, Verratti’s game is on another level but he was the closest we had)

But how Herrera not signing is Ole's fault. Also, if Ole is such a bug fan of Jones why would he play Lindelof ahead of him.

We relied on 2 of the most successful managers to rebuild, both of them made the squad worse than the one they inherited.

Herrera leaving on free transfer has nothing to do with Solskjaer, he didn't agree to extension for various reasons. It's not on Ole, it's between player and Woodward.

Will be gone by November.
Agree. I have bad feeling about this transfer window and it needs to be right. If it doesn't go to plan were screwed.

Pogba wants to leave and even we hold on to him we have a player that doesn't want to be here and we rely on him every game.

Did they, although we have sighed a lot of garbage esp under LVG. We do have a lot of players who at other clubs would be performing much better.. Shaw, Martial, Rashford, Pogba, Bailey, Herrera before he left was often not started etc

We just haven’t developed our signings. Would Robertson be a world class FB If United had sighed him for £8m ? Would Trent Arnold whatever be a world class FB if he came through United academy ? Would Son, Ericson etc and rest of Spurs players be playing at such a high level if they signed for United 4 years ago?

Suppose. My point is maybe it’s also about daily coaching. Whatever it is that Pep and his team, Klop and his team, Poch and his team, SAF and his team do/did to continually improve players that we lack.

Manager will keep on getting the sack but it won't improve much if we do not get a proper structure. This is why I feel Woodward is a big reason for our downfall.

And yet you still know it to be true just pretending you don't for self-serving reasons.

What self serving reasons?

There are many fans who wants to wait and see what he can do, excuse us for not getting knickers in twist and winning the competition on who loses their shit first.
