Do you think winning the league tittle is that easy. Look at our squad, what makes you think this i sgood enough to win the league. Just because we are Manchester United doesn't mean a new manager will come and give us a league title. Klopp is called the best manager by some and how many league titles has he won. We need patience here, the instant solution method did not work as we tried with Jose. He tried to push this squad and got to 81 points but he became unstable and rest is history.
You cannot just sack Ole and expect other manager to work miracles within one season. It won't be possible.
Massimiliano Allegri. He has apparently told his close friends that he needs a new challenge....When Pavel Nedved was asked about whether Allegri will still be manager next season,he said “let’s wait and see”.He would be a much better alternative....
Antonio Conte still hasn’t signed a contract with any club.Hes streets ahead of Ole in every way, shape and form....
Carlo Ancelotti could be tempted to come back to English football.Hes in a job right now but he’s attainable if we seriously try....
All these managers are much much much better alternatives than Ole...
Allegri- Another negative manager. What makes you think fans would have any time for his negative football. He cannot even make Juve with ronaldo play entertaining football. He would be eaten alive here
Conte- Same like allegri, Jose. Another negative manager who like Jose had a bad ending at Chelsea. He will do well for a season, winning a trophy or two but will start moaning once he realizes the club is going nowhere.
Ancelotti- Are you serious with this. Another washed up manager who will just be looking more clueless here.
Again Ole may not be the right man to lead but we cannot just sack him and hire another manager for short term success. We need to break that cycle and build a team who has a style and look stable and not a shit version of Chelsea. With the way we have been run and way some of our fans keep on going for manager's head , we will be the new chelsea, just a shittier version of them as atleast they win the league every now and then.
He was an average player 6 years ago and he is even more average now, just that he has become our captain now. I seriously hope Ole doesn't give him the captaincy armband.
Solskjaer’s first three signings at the Cardiff City Stadium were all players he knew well from his time managing in Norway with Molde. The first of those three was Magnus Wolff Eikrem, who Solskjaer has managed on four different occasions during his short managerial career. The first of those came in youth and reserve football at Manchester United, where Solskjaer coached and Eikrem began his career.
Both player and manager moved to Molde in 2011, where Eikrem’s impressive playmaking abilities saw him called up to the national team. Cardiff paid a reported £3.5 million to bring him to Wales as Solskjaer’s first recruit, but Eikrem struggled to make any kind of impact. He registered just 6 Premier League appearances, and following moves to Malmo and the Seattle Sounders, he reunited with Solskjaer at Molde in 2018.
6. Mats Moller Daehli - St Pauli
Another player Solskjaer had in his youth ranks as a coach at Manchester United and as a manager at Molde, Mats Moller Daehli was just 18 when he joined Cardiff City for a reported £2.4 million in January 2014. At the time of the move, Daehli was already a full international, and Solskjaer claimed Manchester United had wanted to re-sign the midfielder at the time but he had chosen Cardiff instead. He featured more regularly than Eikrem, but he too struggled to make a real impact and was soon on his way. Still only 23 years of age, Daehli is currently impressing in Germany’s second tier with St Pauli, and could still have a bright future ahead of him.
5. Jo Inge Berget - Malmo
The last of the trio of Norwegian internationals signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from his former club Molde in January 2014, Jo Inge Berget played his youth football for Udinese rather than Manchester United. A tireless frontman often deputised on the left flank, Berget partnered former Watford striker Odion Ighalo up front during his time in the Udinese U20 team. Having bagged 22 goals in 86 games for Molde, Berget registered just two appearances and failed to score in his single half-season with the Bluebirds. Now aged 28, Berget recently joined Malmo for a second time, having just spent one season playing for New York City FC in the MLS.
4. Kenwyne Jones - Retired
A little bit more of an experienced signing by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Kenwyne Jones had turned out for the likes of Southampton, Sunderland and Stoke in the Premier League before arriving at Cardiff. A popular figure at both Sunderland and Stoke, Jones was a little inconsistent during his time in Cardiff, and he was said to be among the club’s top earners following relegation to the Championship. The big Trinidadian centre-forward, who was a particular menace in the air, went on to sign for Atlanta United in the MLS, but he retired after just a single season aged 32 in 2017.
3. Fabio - Nantes
A Premier League title winner who started in the 2011 Champions League final, Brazilian left-back Fabio didn’t feature as regularly at Manchester United as his twin brother Rafael, but he still racked up over half a century of appearances. However, having been sent off in his final appearance for the club under David Moyes, the Red Devils were happy to sanction a £1.5 million deal for the full-back to join Cardiff. Fabio spent two-and-a-half years in south Wales, where he registered 68 appearances, before being sold for a profit to Middlesbrough. The 28-year-old is now playing top flight football in France with Nantes, whilst his brother Rafael also turns out in Ligue 1 with Lyon.
2. Wilfried Zaha - Crystal Palace
We don’t usually count loan deals in these kinds of videos, but since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought in exactly seven players during his time in the Premier League with Cardiff, and we are of course HITC Sevens, it seemed rude not to. The fourth former Manchester United player in this seven, Wilfried Zaha was contracted to United when he joined the Bluebirds on-loan, but he was never at Old Trafford at the same time as Solskjaer.
The now Ivorian international’s confidence had taken a whack following his move to United, where he was Sir Alex Ferguson’s final signing, and he didn’t make much of an impression during his 13 appearances on-loan at Cardiff. The 26-year-old seems to have undergone some real character building since then though, and he’s now the main man at Crystal Palace, and one of the most dangerous players in the bottom half of the Premier League.
1. Cala - Las Palmas
A centre-back who won the Europa League as a bit-part player with Sevilla the season before he signed for Cardiff, Juan Torres Ruiz - better known as Cala - lasted less than 12 months in the Welsh capital. A steady centre-back with good technique during his time in Spain, the most notable incident of Cala’s brief stay in Britain was a red card he received for pulling back Connor Wickham when the striker was through on goal. Now aged 29, Cala recently had an equally brief stint in China, but is now back in Spain - or the Canary Islands at least - playing in the Segunda Division with Las Palmas.
Ah, wow, thanks for posting this, great job you've done here!
Yeah it makes interesting reading...
I think my biggest concern (and critique) of Solskjaer is actually the footy he's produced here in 5 months - I just don't see an elite level coach in there.
But I've got a weird feeling that his signings will be decent - I dunno why, just an instinctive feeling.

Back Ole. Get on a good Director of Football to work alongside, him. Keep Woodward's duties to the commercial side. Woody should just decide a budget and hand it to Ole and the DoF.
Give Ole some time, at least a full preseason and let him bring in the players that he and the DoF feel are right to help the club progress and see where that get's us a basis to build from and I think we will see some progression next season. It's going to be a long process but I will be happy if I can see us constantly improving gradually and eventually hopefully Ole will get us back to where we should be; challenging for major honours.
I’m 100% behind Ole now. Terrible end to the season, but I’ve decided to blame the players because of lack of effort.
He’s under qualified for this position. Are there better options available, probably, yes. Allegri, Conte, maybe Ancelloti, perhaps Tuchel. All have major trophies. But the club has decided to give Ole a chance, and I believe SAF has had quite a bit of influence over this decision. If SAF has confidence in Ole, that’s good enough for me. I realize he hand picked Moyes, and that was a disaster. But The expectations are lower and a total squad revamp is required, meaning Ole will be able to shape the team in his image. If he makes top 4 and wins a domestic trophy, I’ll be thrilled.
I wish we had a top DoF to help him navigate the transfer market.
The silver lining in all of this is that I think this is Woodward’s last chance. If he bungles the football side of things, I believe he will be gone or his role reduced.
I like ole and I'm glad hes at the wheel no one will put in as much hard work as him because for him hes reached the pinicle of hes career he wouldn't be anywhere eles he even stopped a transfer to Tottenham just to just on the bench us.i just worry that he's system is too easy to work out and counter against so unless he got an unbelievable strike force where hes outscoring teams 3-2 I think he's going to get stuck but I hope I'm wrong ...oles at the wheel!.......

Do you even realise how underqualified and unprepared Solksjaer is compared to those 3 managers?Solksjaer will never win even half the trophies that those managers have won in their careers....What makes you think that Solksjaer can atleast get us back to play entertaining football? We are heading for a disaster next season with him in charge..,,

What happened when we got so called "qualified" managers? A squad that is on the 2nd highest wage bill who cant keep hold of a football?
And clearly you didnt watch the first months of Ole? when Utd were pressing with decent football. With the right balance and players I am optimistic Ole can get us into top 4.
We're pretty much stuck with Ole but this idea that we've tried with qualified managers and it didn't work so we have to try with a rookie instead is a bit silly. You wouldn't replace a player who flopped with someone from reserves just because buying a player did not work out.

I understand that giving it to a rookie is not the best idea however; the managers who you would want are all in the prem and not going to leave. We have to get back team spirit. And most fans would rather play a player from the reserves over a player that didnt work e.g Greenwood over Sanchez Scott over Matic?
So your option would be spend money on transfer fees and wages hoping one player would suit.

But same way I can ask what makes you think COnte or allegri would make us play great football when they have failed to show anything when managing a team with better players. Again I am not saying Ole is a better manager than the names you mentioned or he would play attacking football. Jury is still not out on that but after having LvG and Jose, two managers who couldn't make us play attacking football, Conte and Allegri would not be well received. Unless fans suddenly want to act hypocritical and behave negative football is fine as long as it is a coach with pedigree.

I like Ole. He knows what he wants to do, how he wants to play, what the fans want to see and has already stated his transfer strategy which I agree with.
What I do not agree with is keeping the same backroom staff that overseen this pile of pish way before Ole came along, they have had absolute zero influence during their time which for me means they are not up to it. I like Carrick but what has he actually done to justify being at Manchester United and the others.
Ole should be going out and get the best coaches in the world into he team, get people in who can really change the dynamic. Keeping the same coaches coaching the same way is hardly going to bring about the dramatic change we all want.
This will be Ole's downfall in the end, the coaching staff needs shake up as much as the team

I hope people asking for Allegri know the sort of football he brings and will be happy to have that at United. That would be another wrong-fit appointment in my opinion, I thought we had had enough of those already.
Sack him.
He is not tough enough. He showed it in the last few games . He should never have played Asley Young and DDG. The both played like shit and deserved the bench. But still they where playing.
So what has that got to do with anything.
Just to compare....
Compare with what - apples with pears.
If you are making a comparison. Tottenham top 4 finish and CL Final.
Now. Remind me what did we achieve?
Answer. Fcuk all.
Just to compare...

You are not allowed to remind people that we finished second last season.
It was a fluke.
We were lucky etc etc etc
That is the standard response to that indisputable fact.
You are quite right by the way.

I find it unbelievable that some struggle to see how our performances didn't reflect that 2nd place. It must have been quite a shock for you to see the same squad suddenly get worse results this season.
He never should have been announced until the end of the season, but since we pre-maturely pulled the trigger, it would be pretty awful to not give him a season.
I think Ole is worth a shot as he is trying to correct the various mistakes we committed over the last 6-7 years.
Moyes got rid of our old backroom and got in his own coaches. Ole has brought back Phelan and there are talks of more ex-players working for the club.
Our signings after Fergie were tuned towards expensive stars which has backfired phenomenally. So we are going back to our tried and tested method of signing young British players and other exciting upcoming players.
He is bringing in a bit more of professionalism. He is trying to instill in the players what an honor it is to play for our club. He communicates with the players individually to motivate them.
He is working on our fitness which has largely been ignored in recent years. We have been one of the lowest ranked in distance covered under Jose and LVG.
He is trying to improve our playing style and make it more attacking and bold. There have been so many games over the last few years which were unbearable to watch.
Basically, he is employing every strategy that Fergie did. The only concern is that he is not a tactician like Klopp or Pep who have their specific systems and drill their teams to fit in perfectly into the system. But there are plenty of other managers who are doing great while being flexible like Poch, Zidane, etc.
I find it unbelievable that some struggle to see how our performances didn't reflect that 2nd place. It must have been quite a shock for you to see the same squad suddenly get worse results this season.
The table doesn't lie. 81 points was typically a very good total for 2nd place.
The outcome of this season was not a shock at all.
Apart from that initial bounce when Ole came in, a 6th place finish with just 66 points was a good reflection of our poor standard.
Or was that just a fluke as well.
Well, you are wrong, as usual. None of the teams ever knocked out any norwegian club. Spew your lies somewhere else.
Your claim that Eredivisie is much better than Eliteserien is demonstrably false. I recommend that you go back and look at what I have already said about this.

If you think Norwegian league is as good as Eredivisie there's nothing else to say.
Put up a poll and try to find others that would agree with you - I think you'll struggle with that. How many top players are playing in top leagues that came from Norwegian league? Who are the best Norwegian players and where do they play now?
And I'm not sure who is lying here. Which of all this is lie? I guess these results didn't happen?

If you think last season was so good, how do you explain the awful first half which led to Jose being sacked? Plenty of those people who you ridicule saw it coming in the summer with how poor our actual performances were.

Those people should stop trying to re-write history just because it doesn't align with their own rather biased views.
If Ole somehow manages to get us to 2nd place next season with 81 points, he will be hailed as a genius and rightly so.
In terms of your question, the explanation is perfectly obvious.
- Jose always demands the maximum from the players and demands that they implement his particular tactics. Proven tactics I might add.
- Once those same players saw that he was not being backed by the club, they stopped playing for him.
- That led directly to a breakdown of trust between manager and players and the rest is history.
- Ole comes along and tells them what they wanted to hear and there was an immediate bounce until he was given the job.
Then the same players gradually put in less and less effort and reveted to type and the recent run of terrible results are testiment to that.
