Not going anywhere. Unless we lose like 3 or 4 games in a row, and we arent that bad yet. Will get sacked in March or April 2022 once we lose out on the 4th place.

They cant sack him now, they gave him and the coaching staff new contracts. Sacking him now would only show how clueless they are. I mean they are and everyone knows, but they dont want to admit it like this. This club is all about saving face.

We can all have our different thoughts and opinions but one thing thats for certain and the one thing we can all agree on is that we have the most inept ownership/board in the game. They are too busy putting up shares on the god damn stock market rather than taking swift action when things are going horrendously bad.

I do honestly think Sir Alex is the only person on earth who could win so many titles under this shambles of an ownership. Everyone knows it. The minute SAF retired this board got completely exposed for what they are, a bunch of clueless amateurs.

Yep. Sacking him admits they’ve been lying about the progress for the past few years & admits all this reboot has been for nothing.

When they do sack OgS in the Spring they’ll say they have him every opportunity etc. which they have done but they need to address why the hell this man was here so long in the first place. Once OgS does go the blind faith & veil leaves with him so their only choice is to wait till all is lost.

We've got Arsenal and Chelsea coming up and we're not getting results against them in current form. I think there's a chance you're right but things could still get ugly over the next few weeks.

You just know after the reaction today from the fans when DVB came on he's going to start him next game.

So after 5-0 loss to Liverpool, these next 3 games probably finished as expected: 1 win, 1 draw and a loss to City. Won against terrible Spurs team, but still played well so that one was ok. Then 2-2 draw at Atalanta where it was all about Ronaldo saving us again from a certain loss and then expected defeat to City where it was 'only' 2-0 to them, but as dominating and as easy as possible, with United defending at 0-2 20 minutes before the end. Basically, except that Tottenham game where in reality it was about very poor opposition, it's just been same stuff as we've seen this season so far. Nothing to suggest of another comeback and shift in form like we saw under Ole in the past. Basically one thing that can still keep him in the job is just the fact that there aren't many managers out there available and most of them would likely prefer to come when the season ends and that's it.

If we'd beaten villa and Everton at home, 2 struggling sides, we'd be above Liverpool in table. When you think of how terribly shit we are it puts in perspective that with a top manager this league is up for grabs

I know it's easy to blame the defenders for it because they are always the last in the chain and the once looking dumb when a goal is scored. But I feel a lot of problems are of systemic nature and only secondly the problem of bad defenders and form.

Look at how Chelsea, Liverpool and City defend, the defense starts with the front line, everyone puts pressure on who ever has the ball, which in return makes it harder for them to pick a good pass. Today there was almost no pressure at all on any of the City players from us, same happened gainst Liverpool, because our pressing is usually just a single player chasing someone while the rest watches on and stands around.

In build up it's a similar picture, one player has the ball and the rest stands around excitedly watching on what the player with the ball might do, while again with the other teams the players around the one with the ball already are moving in the positions they have to be.

Neither defending nor building from the back of our team displays any of these characteristics, no wonder our players end up looking like idiots.

Losing to Villa at home with this squad is in itself a sackable offence. We were playing poor prior to that game as well but it was after that game I knew this season was over. After the summer most of us thought we would improve due to the signings we brought in and now we are instead invovled in a scrap for top 4.

Imagine signing Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo and end up chasing top 4.

Absolutely pathetic stuff right there..

loss to City not even there (Atalanta and Villareal wins were last gasp Ronaldo hero mode)

100%.

When all 11 players are playing badly, then that's a system issue. They're still underperforming, no doubt, and have to take a certain level of blame, but the system should be designed to compensate for the squad's weaknesses, whereas our system seems to emphasise them.

Spurs was a dead cat bounce. He's done. Dead man walking. It’ll happen during the break, as we’ll have some time to sign his successor. Potter, Rodgers or Ten Hag? Meh. Feck this.

Your weekly reminder that this is the only club in the world where such low standards are tolerated

Is he really that starved from money that he’s basically willing to throw his united legacy? Or he’s just totally deluded? Just have some decency and resign.

Pride can blinker anyone. He’ll be totally convinced in his head he’s good enough. He’s starting to seem very arrogant now though. Shredding his legacy.

He’s been showing undue arrogance for some time. Should have gone after the Sevilla debacle, the second no one raised an eyebrow there he knew he had cart blanche to say whatever in spite of performances.

It’s a weird one because if we’re all honest it’s understandable why he wouldn’t walk. He knows this is his only chance at an elite club, infact I highly doubt he’ll be offered anything more than a rebuilding former giant in German football if he’s lucky so of course he won’t leave but for some time now his presence is actually to the detriment of the club. He’ll always be remembered fondly as a player but his stint as manager has certainly tarnished my fandom dramatically. His underperformance is one issue but his insistence on addressing the fans cua his conferences as if we don’t see the product on the pitch is beyond insulting.

Regardless of what happens with Ole, club reflects its fan base when it comes to setting high standards, transfers, top 4 bullshit etc.

Just unkind to keep him around now. He's become a fecking joke, and so are we. Only one's enjoying it are our rivals and there is no sign it will improve. Kill it dead, Ole is done.

Wish people would stop focusing on the wins/loss record, or even the overall table. The fact is that we have been playing like shit for so long. I remember game after game last season where we played like shit, but scraped out the win. Every single damn time people would point out the subpar performance the Ole in crowd would just prattle on about "oh saf had games like this" and "we still got the 3 points even not playing great".

Well guess what, eventually luck starts running out and the odds catch up to you. If it weren't for Ronaldo we'd be staring at a early crash out of our ucl group to go along with our shambolic league form. And all it takes is Valencia taking care of business against us in next ucl game and we could fall to 3rd anyways

Funny thing is, sacking him earlier and admitting they made that mistake and appointing a competent manager would've actually mitigated the damage being done now. Instead they doubled down on their bad decision out of fear that their investment in Ole was a failure and now that's most likely going to cost this season and next if we can't get the top 4 spot, which is shambolic with the quality we have in our squad.

Like I've said, the board is committing a classic sunk cost fallacy and that will cost them more than if they had been more proactive when the rot was clearly starting to show earlier this season.

Feels like it is taking an age for Woody to leave. Everything just takes so long at Utd. Contracts for Jones and Mata. What is going on? Why can the club not react and evolve. So boring! Clear them out already. The manager, the coaches, the old useless players....Flush em!

Thing is the thought might cross his mind but he will have his mates and Sir Alex telling him to keep at it. That level of moral support will bolster his self belief and coupled with fans clapping him off the pitch and requesting his autographs after a 5-0 mauling by Liverpool will feed into delusions that propel his determination to succeed.

Can't blame him at all, it's all on the board who have the fudiciary responsibility to make this decision for the good of the club which they are skirting by hiding behind top reds heavily invested in Ole. This is going to be a long and hard farewell.

Owen's been on point for a while now. Today, he was visibly aghast. Which is unusual.

He has played for United even if it's for a short time. He knows the club and he knows it's not acceptable for United at least in the time he played.

Don't get your hopes up. The Glazers will find another puppet CEO who would be only good at getting sponsorship deals and snack/drink partners.

We'll beat Watford though and they will shout "progress!"

Can we send Ole and his coaching staff to Norwich on loan? Hey he might rescue them from relegation.

They will probably get Norwich relegated to League One. Ask Cardiff fans.

How is he still in the job?

If he lasts past the international break our season is over.

For those who are saying they will always love him as a player no matter what. I can’t. I’m sorry I just can’t separate the player from the manager. I loved him not only for his goals and contribution for us but also the way he carried himself with dignity and integrity. I truly believed he is a man of honour and morals. The way he is acting so shamelessly right now not caring about the players not giving a feck about the fans, I can’t help but hate him. He is milking his legacy knowing that utd fans are passive and would still support him and love him regardless.

The way he talks about the past, united DNA, the united way and all that just to fool us has exposed him atleast in my eyes as a person. He is a selfish man who is only thinking about himself and his compensation. Had he been more honest and upfront and done a Gattuso I would not only appreciate him but also his standing would go up in my estimation. But he turned out to be a coward. This is not what I thought of him and I just can’t respect him anymore. I can still acknowledge his contribution for united but the respect is gone.
