The club is almost falling into Civil War. The Class of '92 need to be careful because there are a lot of fans who never saw them play, they only know them from their post football activities.

The reports about players blaming each other for lack of motivation or effort seem over the top. Because no player apart from maybe Cavani and DdG has been performing that well or working hard for the team that they can openly criticise their team mates.
A lot of made up stories as usual every time there’s unrest.

Think it is more to do with tactics and has been for a while, plus players not getting a chance when others are playing badly and costing us points in the process. Don't think it is to do with effort. There has always been rumours of favoritism and we can all see it.

This.

I have seen alot of the same stories that were about last season after the 6-1 loss. I remember last season after the loss, the guardian came out with the story that players find Mkenna's training academy level, a year on they have just repeated the same story.

Its such lazy journalism, obviously after a defeat you are going to get loads of made up stories.

He has not steadied the ship. This is the most upheaval and leaks I've seen. More than Jose.

Too many marginalized players and overrated recruitment.

The myth of player management and excellent recruitment needs to end.
The excellent recruitmemt thing is certainly bollocks. Our squad is as inbalanced as its ever been and some players will continue to be a burden for the next manager (e.g. maguire and wan bissaka if they want to play a high pressing style)

I am referring to tweets posted here about players blaming each other.

Wouldn't have been the first time that has happened, even at United. It happens all the time. If people think players just pat each other on the back and give each other a consoling hug when things are going wrong they live in cloud cuckoo land. They are human, people lash out when under stress. They look for someone to blame, usually not themselves. It is quite childlike. It wasn't me Dad.

Of course OGS should be sacked due to the pure fact he´s the manager of a an elite club and looking like a novice in everything he does. Where is the philosophy, tactical know how and plan?

I stopped watching a United game at halftime for the first time in my life as I just could not take any more on Sunday. Has there been a more stupid gameplan put forward against Liverpool in recent times than that? Ronaldo,Bruno,Rashford and Greenwood all players that hardly try to defend against a Liverpool team at heir peak. It was a footballing harakiri of the worst sort and when it started OGS sat and watched his team being torn apart. There is a fundemental flaw in play there.

How can United expect to hold their own against top clubs when being constantly outrun and outworked when looking at stats? Despite tactics it´s clear that if a team can not work equally hard or more than Liverpool, City, Chelsea and so on then they will keep being left behind. Because when you look at it on top of the ability Pep,Tuchel and Klopp have over OGS they all base their teams on being able to outwork most other teams. OGS and his staff have failed in every aspect compaired to these guys.

It's got so bad now you're actually taking the piss out of the football club that you're supposed to support? Regardless of your opinion of Ole, stooping to the level to mocking your own football club to the point where it feels spiteful is just disappointing.

No I’m mocking our social media admin, they shouldn’t even be addressing the nonsense.

Kept against his will?

So the first time in United’s life they have decided to defend Paul Pogba and you want us not to find the irony in it. Stop being so blinkered. They don’t care about us fans. They continually show it.

That's why I find the sacking of Ole inevitable, Players like Maguire, Our midfielders need to be dropped, you can't exactly change Maguire for Bailly now and one of Mcfred for DVB that's suicide from Ole's perspective, if the current starting 11 aren't playing for him our bench players sure as hell aren't.

Never thought of that. You wouldn’t think much of them if you went of those, would you?

Fergie on Ole:

Ole was a sweet-natured boy who was never looking to be confrontational with me. There was no risk to my office door from Ole wanting to smash it down to demand a place in the first XI. He knew he was content with his role...

I think it’s inevitable but my worry is that the Board is still burying their heads in the sand hoping that he’ll turn things around. When the sack comes they still wouldn’t have lined up a successor and would have to scramble.

Donny and Lingard?
There's definitely a sense pretty much everyone thought Lingard was going, but we seemed to inflate our asking price to the point no one actually ended up matching it. Wouldn't be shocked if Martial and Mata were included in that too as both have barely had a kick. Then again that's just baseless speculation from me.

Can't imagine Mata being one of them. But aside from Donny, Lingard, and Martial I think the obvious candidates are Bailly, Dalot, Telles, and Matic.

So many on here doesn't seem to have much memory. Which players have been favoritized? The only ones who could be argued would be McFred, and they were still the ones who got us the best results through last season. Most pundits were saying before the game that we had to rely on them. Matic doesn't have the legs anymore to play the role over time, so instead he must be used as a specialist for certain games and in general backup. VdB has done OK in the chances he's gotten, but nothing that has made us trust him in a double pivot when we already have a lot of offensive players in the lineup.

Bailly is our 4th choice CB now, I understand he's not happy, but that's just how it is. Yes, looking back knowing what we know now he probably should have played ahead of Maguire against Leicester, maybe against pool as well. But in the past Maguire have been nothing but reliable, plus the fact that he's the club captain, so it's understandable that he was put back in over Bailly who has had a history of making controversial choices and risky tackles.

The other players people say is being left out now due to favoritism is Lingard and Martial.. players everyone wanted out of the club before the season. Lingard has done well in his sub appearances, but who should he have been starting over? Bruno? Mason? Marcus? They have been consistently putting up goals and assists in every match they have played.

Now.. will some fringe players get a few more chances now? Yeah, probably. After a result like this weekend something new has to be tried. Mainly to light a fire under those who have been starting up until now. But that doesn't mean those fringe players had shown enough in the past to start.

If players were bought against his will, if players got contract extensions against his will, if players that he wanted out werent sold/loaned on purpose, that makes him look even worse.
That's exactly what fans have been asking for the club to do though? That not every decision is down to the manager, to allow for continuity beyond one single manager.

Plus, you may want to, and try to sell a player, but if no offer that is good enough comes in you can't really do anything about it. You are stuck with the player in the squad.

He’s only still here whilst they work out what to do, compare the backing he received after the Leicester game to what happened post Liverpool. He’s a dead man walking as soon as a plan is lined up he’s gone.

Club has now become a circus and it’s not doing anyone any favours Ole still being in charge, even though he supposedly has three games a capitulation to Spurs and he’s gone.

Yeah, now that I say it out loud I can't see Mata having a go at anyone.

Fergie on Ole:

So? Most managers didn't even make it in football, never mind be anywhere near as good as Ole was? The only managers in the Premier League that were better players than Ole were Guardiola and Vieira. A lot of the best individual footballers made terrible managers or didn't even bother getting their coaching badges. Ronaldo may be a "winner" on the pitch, but I bet he'd be a much worse manager than Ole. Look at Roy Keane's management blow-ups. It means nothing, it's important to be able to get on with people. Ole's problem is tactical and knowledge, not man management or personality.

Yea but then he should know that he aint one but a head coach, also those reports giving a vibe how they didnt give a shit about his view.

Completely agree on the bolded and I like to think I was the first person to really call him out on here a good few windows back. Absolute bullsh*t artist. People's need for a singe reliable source of information

Also agree that the players get a free pass in all this. We should be looking at replacements now for the manager and staff, no doubt and I'm on board with it at this stage due to how we've gone backwards this season, but the players time and again put pathetic, weak performances in (both mentally and physically) and get to blame the manager, doesn't wash with me. They are a talented group, but barely a fecking grown man between them.

100%.

I think Ole going to go here soon, but some of the stories coming out are ridiculous. Even Pogba rubbished them, when he didn't even have to write anything about it.

I certainly hope you’re right. I’m pessimistic though, with the talk that the Board are “desperate” for Ole to turn things around. I fear they are simply kicking the can down the road till they have no choice but to act.
