Even if you can put aside the horror of losing 5-0 to the dippers at home (hard I know), the fact remains we have 1 point out of a possible 12 from the last four games. Thats relegation form and a sackable offence alone surely.
Form table looks at 5 games, we're 17th with 4 points across that period so should just about avoid relegation.

Nah. He will avoid sack, beat luckily Spurs, draw Atalanta and park the bus vs City and lose with "only" 1:0.
Then NT break comes where he will get time by board to "steady the ship"
You didn't learn yet? He is a survivor
Pretty sure those results would be enough to send him packing over the break.

Jamie Jackson reporting a decision on his future could be later today on account of the time difference in Florida.

It's all over the place now, it surely cannot go on till next weekend, it's unsustainable

I’d keep Ole in the football department. Get him out the managers role asap.

Man...the worst part of all of this is that we're wasting precious time and our players are not getting younger or more motivated. Ole's basically destroying the squad he helped build.

Matter of when now not if.

This nightmare is almost over.
Yesterday's game was a nightmare and this season has been a nightmare. Ole in the past 3 years has given some good memories. Let's see if there's any truth to his sacking. I have my doubts.

And do what?
CVO (Chief Vibes Officer)?

In all seriousness I don't understand calls for him to be moved upstairs to some other role. I thought the idea of removing him from his post was to do away with these sentimental appointments and hire experienced candidates that have displayed an appropriate level of success in their previous roles. Mind you I wouldn't be surprised if the board did offer him some role.

I'd be shocked if we actually sack him before the international break. Just seems an easy time to do it, they're able to negotiate with probably Conte in the mean time, and Ole is essentially a care taker manager until then anyway so no point in sacking him before (is what they'll say). It's not toxic enough to lead to that IMO, but they still need time to go through all the paperwork and negotiation of replacing him.

He’s shown good vision in the transfer market. We don’t have enough football people in the club and he’d be good in a consultancy role imo.
I think this is a bit of myth that's constantly being perpetuated.

He's got a £40m DVB and £75m Sancho sitting on the bench since he doesn't seem to know how to use them. And it's becoming increasingly clear we were fleeced with AWB and Maguire who are very ordinary signings for what we ended up paying for them.

Arguably the only gem he's unearthed is Bruno. Even Ronaldo and Varane are essentially no brainers that sign themselves - you don't need someone with an eye for talent to greenlight them.

Yeah, if there's one thing that Tifo video highlighted (not that we needed it highlighted) is that every fecker on that pitch acts as an individual. They act on their own whims, randomly going into areas of the pitch when they feel like it, leaving others around them exposed, which in turn means that they have to cover for the player who's just gone AWOL, which leads to a domino effect where every fecker is out of position and there's space everywhere. We see it time and time again. It's all impromptu, off-the-cuff football.

No one knows what the other player is doing. That's why we always get players in each others' pockets. Or we have players running into each other (Shaw and Maguire yesterday). Absolute chaos.

Also, a very good point on McTominay. He's a good player, but he's not a DM. He's much better further up the pitch, yet we persist with playing him as a DM because...reasons.

I mean this doesn't surprise me. Shaw was probably grateful to him for reviving his career after the nightmare he had with Jose. And he did sign AWB and Maguire - two players who quite frankly aren't good enough to be starters for us IMO.

I think a lot of these British players like AWB, Maguire and McTominay know their starting position in the team is at risk if a new manager comes in.

I wondered for a while if there was a bit of a rift developing between the British players and some of the others. It's going to be really interesting to see what our starting 11 looks like a few months after the new manager takes over.

If it ends up being Conte, then don't think he will sit meekly on the touchline if things are not going how he likes on the pitch.

He’s shown good vision in the transfer market.

Except for signing AWB, Telles and VdB. And so far getting nothing from £73m Sancho. Bare minimum return from Maguire for £80m. Giving the green light to offer undeserved/unwarranted new contracts to Jones, Pereira, Martial, Henderson, Mata, Matic, Grant, Lingard and Bailly.

The only truly successful signings Ole has made were Bruno, whom he dithered over and nearly missed out on. Varane. And Cavani which was a last-minute panic signing on a free.

I'll be cynical and say he's not going anywhere before the end of the season

He won't sit meekly regardless.

Hopefully, no one from the club tells him he needs to calm down because United managers shouldn't act this way.

He’s getting nothing from them because he can’t coach. That doesn’t mean they are bad players. I’m delighted to have them all and it’s a disgrace they aren’t being used more (Donny & Sancho). AWB and Maguire were mistakes/should be squad players but overall our transfer strategy has been decent. I’m not saying I want him in charge of that aspect but in a consultancy role maybe especially if we aren’t going to hire actual football people.
