By being yourself?Just giving the WUM what he wanted.
By being yourself?Just giving the WUM what he wanted.
Danny Blind is a pundit on Dutch Sports channel Ziggo Sports, who hold the EPL tv rights in Holland. He would be talking abour us becasue he was asked about us. Not because he woke up thinking 'today I shall talk about United'.
Maybe he waa asked by a dutch journalist who was thinking about VDB'a situation. In no way it discredits Blind's view.
Apparently, only deluded knee jerking Caftards say this. There is none as blind ad he who will not see.
I wonder who else are we waiting for? The best ones are already taken and settled (ie Pep, Klopp, Tuchel etc), we probably won’t get anyone better than the ones who are available at the market right now (ie Zidane, Conte).Think the In group have already absolved him of failing to challenge this season.
I am somewhat in the middle. No matter how far or close we are, the timing of his departure should depend entirely on the availability of a proper replacement.
Sometimes I randomly watch YouTube videos of nuclear bombs going off… from now I’m just gonna bookmark the quoted post and read it whenever I want to see annihilation‘Counting trophies’ is how success is judged at clubs like Utd.
That’s why you chose ‘united 99’ as your username
You didn’t choose it because Alex Ferguson had a nice smile, did you - you chose it because Utd won 3 major trophies that season.
And that’s why Ole’s reign as Utd manager is viewed as a failure by everyone in the footballing World who isn’t a simpering, nostalgic moron.
If he’d won a couple of trophies by now - which he should have - then he wouldn’t be under such pressure right now. Because ultimately, at clubs like Utd - trophies are what matters.
That was and is Fergie’s view also btw. It isn’t anything new at Utd.
Indeed, the irony is that if Ole had the managerial ability to win a League Cup, a Europa League or an FA Cup, it’d be the likes of you and Eriku etc who’d be the first to claim it was a great achievement and a signal that he was succeeding.
And of course, you’d be right… for the same reason that as of now, you’re wrong.
Because counting trophies is what matters.
When you can’t debate the message so instead attack the messenger.Does anyone care what Danny Blind thinks about Management? He a failure. And he had a vested interest to bash Ole and defend Donny. He also likely has a grudge with United because he son failed here too.
Honestly don’t get why people get so emotional when defending Ole. If Blind said “SAF was not a very good manager” I’d easily prove my point as to why I think he is wrong, I wouldn’t get all emotional about it as if criticising SAF was the same as insulting a defenceless child. If people really think what Blind said about Ole is wrong they will have the ability to express it rationally and in footballing terms. It’s just a stick to beat Ole with at this point.
“SEE! I told you he was shite!”
Jesus wept
Funny how lots of people always say fans can't judge managers because they don't have the right credentials and yet Blind, who is a bad manager is wrong according to them. If anything he should recognise a bad manager given his track recordThe Blind hate in this thread was ridiculous. He was a pundit for that match, and some of the logic being used is just horrendous.
People shouldnt listen to Gary Neville either and aren't allowrd to criticise or have opinions at all clearly, as none of us are professional managers (I believe).
What Blind said was spot on despite his bad managerial career, it is very hard to fight against and that probably is the reason for all this deflection.
Such great managerial pedigree...
He's a club legend on the pitch and always will be. As a manager he's certainly coming across as as an individual that's content to just continue plodding along. Happy to just be at United because no other Premier League club would even think of hiring him.
It is a weak logic and one if followed to its completeness, would mean shutting down all football forums. It makes no sense and is pure deflection.Funny how lots of people always say fans can't judge managers because they don't have the right credentials and yet Blind, who is a bad manager is wrong according to them. Zidane and Conte are probably not the right fit.I wonder who else are we waiting for? The best ones are already taken and settled (ie Pep, Klopp, Tuchel etc), we probably won’t get anyone better than the ones who are available at the market right now (ie Zidane, Conte).
I'm still Ole in personally.
You can't sack someone 7 games into the league for possibly not being good enough. We started slow last year, let's give it time and wait for credible reasons to sack a manager mid season.
That being said, he really should be challenging for the title this year. The lack of midfield is a weak excuse in my opinion.
Ole has turned it round 2 seasons running, and some posters ended up with egg on their face in a Wumminator name and shame threads. It wouldn't surprise me to see similar come Christmas.
Well I guess objectivity is out of the question for this postHe has not turned anything around at any period.

Portugal Manager Aims Subtle Dig At Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Over Cristiano Ronaldo's Playing Time
https://www.sportbible.com/football...-at-solskjaer-over-cristiano-ronaldo-20211009
He has not turned anything around at any period. He has one of the most expensive squads on the planet and is yet to win a trophy, years into his tenure. He is yet to show a style of football that can be associated with trophy winning football.
Just because he has some good period of results doesn't mean he is proving people wrong. This team is just that good. Every team has periods of good form, fhe best teams employ a style and approach which provides the platform for them do it more consistently, to the point where they win major silverware
Also this reaction isn't based on 7 games, as has been mentioned countless times on here. It's 3 years of the same patterns
I don’t think it’s a great look to «turn things around» only to find yourself regressing to a similar situation every time.
Just find it funny saying he needs game time then subs him off regardless of how long he’s played for club anyway. Pretty shitty shot at having a pop at Ole to be fair, and I’m not his biggest fan either.
Does anyone care what Danny Blind thinks about Management? He a failure. And he had a vested interest to bash Ole and defend Donny. He also likely has a grudge with United because he son failed here too.
So according to the 'Ole in' crew, no living Dutch manager can criticise Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
It won't be any different when the next manager comes in. It's been that way since AFTV started it with Wenger.I can't wait for his reign to be over just so the children can stop branding each other Ole In or Ole Out, like it''s a bad thing backing your manager or a bad thing thinking he's not doing a good job. The division between the fans is so unbelievably unnecessary, we support the same club, we're on the same side.
He can be sacked at any time. Just look at Jose.Though I agree with both of you, neither are valid reasons for sacking a manager midseason after extending his contract only 3 months ago.
Jose has made a career out of it.He can be sacked at any time. Just look at Jose.
If he doesn't win anything this season he should be gone. Heck he should already be gone but will be given the season before he's inevitably sacked. To give him two more years to prove himself is just insanity. Ronaldo would have fecked off/retired by then, and some of our stay players would probably have looked to engineer moves away from the club in that time too.Ole is not going anywhere yet. Yes Utd play alot of crappy football quite often but Ole still has time to get it right. If he totally screws the season he might be gone in the summer. If he doesn't win something in the next two years he will be gone anyway. I am sure he will continue to strengthen the squad and, if a new manager comes in at some point then, Utd will be in a good position.
Then we'll be spending our time defending Ole than agreeing with Blind. I don't know why it is so hard for some to accept the truth. If Utd looked a coherent side who weren’t wasting an embarrassment of attacking riches
He can be a shit manager and still give valid opinions. I don't see anything wrong with what he said.
Also great manager won't have time to be pundits covering league, it's only failed managers or players who weren't managers will be pundits. If we go by "failed manager can't have opinion on other managers" logic then no one should talk about top managers, no fan should talk about football.
Also ability to analyse is a different skill than managing. Not every good analyst can be good manager.
