We are going to waste the prime years of Maguire, Varane, Bruno and Pogba with this manager. By the time we get a proper manager in he will have another rebuilding job on his hands.

Got the lineup horribly wrong and made the wrong subs again. This can't keep happening as his luck may run out this season.

If he gets 80+ points he'll exceed my expectations and I will believe he can make it work. Not counting on it but hope he does.
Why are people obsessed with how many points. The only thing I care about is winning the league or the champions league. I don't give a shit about finishing second or third with 85 points at this point. Ruthless we should be and sack our club legend. That is how Chelsea won the their CL last year.

Ole has been a worse manager for us than Jose was. People aren't ready for that conversation yet though.
People aren’t ready for discussions that are easily dismissible - that’s why.

Of course winning the title should be the aim but there seems to be an easy excuse for him that he is competing with Pep & Klopp etc so expecting a league is not fair . That is why I think talking about points is fair because that has nothing to do with others and tells us where we are going

Mata & Matić can't play full 90 minutes in full tempo from few good years... This so called fitness problem comes from decisions above.

At this point Ole's repeating Mourinho's mistakes.

Oh come on. Im not Oles biggest fan, but this is ridiculous

We need to build a world-class squad for us to compete, he's not a PE teacher but he's clearly not on the same level than Pep, Klopp and Tuchel.

Expecting him to suddenly become a world class manager will only end up on frustration and disappointment.

Or get a better manager…

Tuchel: "Lukaku has trained all week, he's ready", wish Utd had a coach with an elite winners mentality, sorry, but Ole never has been and never will be anything near what this club truly needs.

The team needs to start stronger with more urgency in most games which we all know already. Wasting chances after chances in the first 30 mins of a game needs to be stopped as well.

Or we get a world class manager and win with this squad?

These sort of games are the most disappointing though because there is always this talk with Ole that he knows the club etc but whenever we are in a game like this he just never throws the kitchen sink at it. He took off Martial for Sancho and then switched a midfielder for another midfielder. The last sub happened at 85 minutes. I miss the days where Fergie would just throw every striker he had on the bench in to games we needed a goal in

That’s my major concern and my biggest disappointment about today. No urgency whatsoever when we scored the equaliser to go on and grab a winner. Southampton looked the team pushing for the 3 points in the final 20 mins than we did.

I don’t know what Ole was instructing the players from the sidelines when we scored the equaliser and he got off his seat, but judging from what I was watching after our equalising goal, we hardly created any chances or even looked like we were trying to score when we had possession.

In terms of the substitutions, we really missed having an out and out striker on the bench today like Cavani. Someone that knows where the back of the net is.

When everyone knew this why we are persistent with them and paying the salaries? We could release / loan them and buy a proper backup ?

Mata has good vibes, having good vibes and experience is good.

DvB should hand in a transfer request now. What does he need to do to get a game? One dimensional ole caught out again.

It's decision making at the top. Amad gets signed and probably goes while Mata stays... not to mention Lingard could play here to 2022 at least.

Mourinho was extremely exuberant but at times he was honest. Ole is just so cringe at his positiveness, it looks more and more like hiding from problems.

Needs to start both big signings next week.

No other manager seems to be being so conservative with bringing their new signings in.

I guess all the positive rational posters doing the same.

Reading you lot whining here after 2 games is depressing and humiliating.

We're in meltdown and want to sack the manager for your shiny new manager. Biggest joke today.
This was always going to be the reaction on a relatively meh performance... Have a read, what has been written last week - actio = reactio. Great outlook for a neverending circle... because the cyclical way performances are naturally will ensure, we go on and on and on.

Can anyone tell me why he keeps Matic? Why does he let him drop into as a third central defender? Or even into a left back position?
Why doesn't he play DVB instead of Matic? Try something else when you see it's not working at all?
Surely DVB can't be worse than what Matic was doing for 75 mins?
I don't get that as well. I mean, I won't question him going for Matic and Fred in the first place - I probably wouldn't have done it but it surely isn't an obvious mistake. But after seeing it not working, there needs to be some adjustments.

I think (and hope), that the team uses the first 5-7 weeks of the season to have something like a prolonged pre-season as the schedule is allowing that. Maybe that is why Ole mentioned fitness. Lets hope, they work on something. There was a big difference to last years performances like that, this time we at least created a few chances (understat has us 2.26 xg-wise, against Southhamptons 0.59)

It's fine. We just need to give him another £100m next summer to fix whatever area of the pitch is the new excuse for our failures (midfield?) and then next year is our year boys!

This is what i keep saying for years now. Every year, every month, every week more with failed Cardiff manager in charge is costly.

If Cavani played we could have one this game, that tells we still need a proper DM and a striker.

We needed 4 signings last year (CB/RW/DM/CF) and so far we addressed only 2 of it. I hope at least we sign a DM this year.

That would be optimal yes, but we all know it ain't happening. Most of the fan base loves Ole, if he wasn't fired when we were truly shit now that we are "half good" I don't see how he'll get the boot.
No title challenge this year after signing Varane and Sancho. Lets see what happens then

It's sad how we've morphed into 90s Liverpool. I honestly can't see when our next title will come. We've got our heart set on Ole for some strange reason. Can you honestly see us winning it anytime soon with the three best managers in the world competing against us?
