When Ole does it, it is great result. When Jose did it, it was not "United way". I am confused

Mourinho was being dominated by the likes of Bournemouth and was losing games regularly. Neither of which happen under Ole. We don’t lose games under Ole and we score goals at a significantly higher rate.

Tactically outclassed. Why didn't he match them with a 343 - a formation which he always played against a big team?

Both Odoi and James was getting lot of space on the left as Shaw was up against 2 sometimes 3 Chelsea players.
Certainly not outclassed. His original game plan was good and worked really well, but he had failed to adjust to Tuchel's changes at half-time. Sadly, this is a regular occurrence, he is too slow to react (and often doesn't want to sub players off). I'd say that overall Tuchel had an upper hand but you can't be outclassed when a game ends in a deserved 0:0 draw.

We're not scoring in these games but neither are the opposition, they play very cautious against us for a reason.

Heh, this thread... Chelsea needed 3 points here far more than us, yet played cautious as feck all game. Why's a "world-class" manager like Tuchel not able to beat us easily when we're managed by a buffoon?

What is the lowest ever total for a team getting 2nd in a season. I think we were a pretty poor 3rd point wise last year as well.

Not going to bait the hoard by calling for his sack.
All I will say is at the very least, get a manager that can take us to the next level when Ole's contract ends.

These types of performances have become acceptable and I find it disappointing and a clear lack of ambition that so many fans are willing to accept it. This isn't an amazing Chelsea team and today's game was winnable. We seem to think that there are an infinite number of games in a season, and this just isn't the case.

Ole's timing of subs has been a huge problem all season and I'm just tired and bored of waiting until the 70th-odd minute for him to make changes. He's too passive and the football is too passive.

I just hope Ed doesn't splash a stupid new contract for Ole next Jan and wait for the end of next season to take a final decision on renewing or not.

I love ole and I’m by no means ole out, he’s improved us and the best we have had since the fergie era, however, I can’t help but feel that the players we have could play better with a tactically better coach. Ole loves the club and will always do his best... but there are better coaches. We have the squad to play better than we do.

Not really sure Tuchel is considered world class whatsoever.

A good result for what? top four for us to do bugger all again in the champions league?

I think you’ll find I said, a decent result. Why are you insinuating I said a good result?

Secondly, City aside, Chelsea are the most in form PL side who will likely finish 2nd or 3rd.

Thirdly, the fact you think we’re in a title race and youre disappointed we’ve lost ground on city, is laughable. We’re in a battle to finish 2nd and this is good progress. City are winning the league this season due to 5-6 years of an excellent transfer strategy and a long term vision. It isn’t United or Ole’s fault we’re not winning 20 games on the bounce, we’re 2 years in to our rebuild and City are 6.

I don't want to be anti Ole but this is fairly criminal.

Biggest thing too is our subs in these games are so passive. Always like for like. We never go for the win.

First 2nd from 4th doesn't matter.

Second *face palm* the bold part is pretty weird really.

We were leading the league with 3 points few weeks ago. It's our responsibility that we threw this away and now 12 points away from first spot.

Because he is there one month maybe. And still managed to have more possession and more shots.

Ok, who's the world-class managers people are crying for to take over? Nagelsmann, Allegri and Poch? Pretty sure most of the moaners in this thread here would have been happy with Tuchel.

I think some may not understand his rationale. He knows he is not going to catch City. He knows Leicester lost early today. For him a point is better than no points. I feel that had Leicester won today he might have gone more attacking.
Is he the one to win trophies for us? I never thought so and nothing he did today changed my mind.

FINALLY Ole has mentioned about the penalty jibe in a post match interview but still didn't name drop Klopp

Ole needs to stop being nice and respectful. These other managers aren’t and it’s costing us.

Thought starting James was a big mistake, I get that he's been in good form but today wasn't the day for him.

Fair enough you said decent and it's not the worst result but we ain't winning a title any time soon playing like this. Our decision making and passing is utterly shocking for a big club. I also don't really care about CL football when we can't even get a result against Leipzig when we needed to. It's a decent result only in the sense that we avoided defeat but it's clear to anyone with a pair of eyes that we're light years away from City regardless of your rebuild estimations.

Not sure tbh, there's no way Tuchel would have been a unanimous choice. Moaners: Are these people who happen to disagree with you?

He's been doing this all season.

People here didn't wanted Allegri, Simeone or Conte because they are "defensive". If they are defensive, wtf is Ole? Turbo defensive?

Thank God he's criticizing the referee for the penalty, time for us to put back some preassure on them.

I thought Ole set us up well today and was happy with how we played. We lacked extra attacking options that would make a difference but that’s a set up I can get behind.

I’m honestly not sure how United were defensive today? Our final ball was really poor but we pressed very high for long periods.
