When he took Bailly off in Paris. Rectifying his own mistake. The only one I can remember at the top of my head. But you were probably asking for something more pro-active
Me neither. He would have to actually make changes to begin with first, and we all know we're lucky if we get a sub before the 80' usually. A structural change mid-match would be like a gift from the gods. It then paying dividends... what dream world is this?

I'll give Ole and the team the benefit of the doubt concerning yesterdays game. For the majority of the match I thought we played well and ,in other circumstances, a draw away to a decent Everton side isn't such a catastrophic result.
But we're in desperate need for consistency after yesterdays result. We really need to get some wins under our belt and finish the season strongly.

I have been critical of Ole's in game management and I still think he is very poor in that but I thought tactically we were superb in the first half. Some of the best plays we saw, but sad;y De gea feck up meant we were drawing instead of leading them. Everton in recent months have played some good football and I wouldn't be surprised if they go on to get some points against Chelsea and Liverpool in coming weeks.
Now coming to the second half, Ancelotti being a master himself adapted and changed his teams' set up. This is where Ole is still learning but he has to learn quickly. I feel he tries to be too passive in making those changes or maybe he is just being too nice and doesn't want to hurt his players by making bold moves. Now strangely Klopp also has that issue and one of his flaws is he takes too long to make any changes. I feel Ole has to have his Plan B, C ready. I still don;t think he is the man to take forward but I feel we have played some good football under him but only sporadically.

His in game management is actually one of the areas of legitimate concern of his style. When the opposing manager changes tactics or a situation changes, his reactions are too slow and often inadequate.
I'm not sure if this is just a function of having an incomplete squad and limited depth. Though, I still feel he should do a little better.

Neither can I and in regards to yesterday's game, it's all well and good excusing Ole of any blame because it's a draw at Goodison and some fans would have taken that beforehand, but in reality Everton were poor and if we had a manager that's tactically experienced and aware we would have had more than enough to put Everton to the sword and win that game by more than a single goal. That second half was nothing short of atrocious and Ole did nothing to change it.
Or maybe as I pointed in my above post, could be that he is just being too nice to his players and doesn't want to hurt their morale by subbing him this soon. Anyways he has to change that and be better at in game management.

Hmmm. He's just extremely midtable, isn't he? These type of quotes are the token soundbites you've heard over the years on MOTD from managers like Alan Pardew, Roy Hodgson and so on. If you listened to Ole in isolation with no prior knowledge you would never think you were listening to the manager of a big football club.
When he made biggest feck up of all and played against City in LC with 2 midfielders. At half time he changed it to 433 with Matic on dmc.
And this is not praise to him. I am not a manager but even i knew that it was suicide to go with 2 weak midfielders on City

When your team is usually seriously weakened every week it’s probably harder to have options on the bench you’d like to use. It’s probably the case that there’s a fair chance any substitutions can damage your team further.
Once we have a full squad of quality next season we’ll get a better idea of changes Ole would like to make in-game, rather than only having the dregs to rely on.

Started to create one or two chances more per game than we used to earlier in the season.

I can’t see a justification to sack him atm, and I’ll say the same if city dick us 5-0 on Sunday.
I’d say all his signings have been successful so far. Even James who’s been overplayed and signed as a squad player.
I can see progress there. Needs another Summer and to backed heavily in it. Then if in November of this year we’re still nowhere near the top, the questions can be asked.

Which has coincided with them being replaced by a significantly better player in Bruno. Our January window despite being a bit of a farce has right now saved our season in all honesty.

To me it genuinely looks like Ole is heading in the right direction. The team looks to be heading the same way and is in good shape.
His transfers have all been very good and each one has improved the team and the way we play.

He’s had a very good spell since 31st Jan, I kinda expected it though because he and the club corrected the naive mistakes they made in the Summer and balanced out the squad superbly. Getting rid of 2 full backs (Young, Rojo) and adding a proper CF and Bruno was superb business and the reason I was so excited here. Ighalo especially was proof that after a shit half season everyone had finally understood that concentrating on the present is just as important as focusing on the future. Neglect the former and you likely won’t be around for the future anyhow. There was simply no need to go into the season with such a weak unbalanced squad and we really did cut off our noses to spite our faces in many circumstances.
That said, I’ll wait another few league games before getting giddy. I had one criteria after 31st Jan, to show progress in the league by winning at least 50% of the remaining games. Right now we're bang on 50% from the 4 leagues since then, so it's still not amazing and we've a couple of very tricky games to come up.
3 easy cup games won't fool me and shouldn't fool you guys either. Expect genuine progress in the league between now and the end of May.

Me too. Happy to rethink my stance if we show visible progress in the league. And for me, W-L-D-D-W-L type results are not progress, its a continuation of midtable team form, and given that we've added two new players, have a few back from injury, that wouldn't be good enough for me personally.

Good set up today and tactics. Only thing I could criticise him for was how long he waits to make a sub or change when we start to get battered.

Ole got his tactics totally spot on. He got his substitions totally spot on. The signings he's brought in, both last summer and in January, performed. What else can he do to convince the sceptics?

The suggestion that he’s some sort of tactical moron always has and still remains complete and utter nonsense.
He’s had to play Championship footballers at #10 all season and the difference a good midfielder has made to our ability to create chances is massive.
I say it regularly, but success or no success, we’ll look back at Ole’s time here and thank him for fixing Mourinho‘s mess.
