maybe we could get some kind of celebratory thread going of old pics and favourite memories from over the years.

February 19, 1910 (Saturday)

Old Trafford, the stadium for Manchester United, was opened. A crowd estimated at 80,000 watched as the Red Devils lost to visiting Liverpool F.C., 4-3. Over 100 years, a roof, lighting and seats have been added and the site now seats 76,212.

Sandy Turnbull scored the first ever goal at this great stadium.

Old Trafford has changed so much and it probably wont be the last transformation we see. It's a iconic stadium that has given us Man Utd supporters so many memories throughout these past 100 years. You get the feeling that there is still plenty more history to be written here by our club.

For starters imagine what it can be like in the future if we can finally redevelop the South Stand and its Quadrants.

The painting is Steven Scholes' "Manchester United 1958"

Don't agree, I really like that picture, had it put on a mug I'm having delivered early next week, hoping it comes out good

I particularly like the wet road surface, done a real good job with it

not a bad idea that, what shop you use?

i realise you may be joking, feel free to call me a benny if you are

So all in all what is the best game you have been to at Old Trafford?

I would have to say the semi final against Barca in 2008, for tension, atmosphere, and the end result meaning we were back the the CL final, it would have to be that game.

Roma 7-1
City 4-3
Villa 3-2

i wonder how many more years we'll be there.

it seems these days, it is cheaper/more feasible to build a brand new gaff instead of knocking the old one down and rebuilding on the same site.

i think we have a good 75 years left at OT.

Are you a bot?

I have no idea what my first game was unfortunately, I'll check sometime.

My most memorable include

Man United 4 - 3 Real Madrid. Ronaldo hat trick. Quailty

United 4 - 0 Bolton. When Ronaldo made his debut I think. I couldn't believe how excited I was.

United 5 - 1 Fulham. Opening day of my favorite season. We looked incredible.

United 0 - 1 Wolves. This always sticks in my memory as one of the worst games of my life.

Anyone remember the game about 8 or 9 years ago maybe when the floodlights went off? Or what was the score against Celtic when everyone sung "Subbuteo, you're having a laugh"

Good times.

I know this game was against West Ham, I recall it being a Sunday game, and I've a feeling it could have been this one, as I recall we gave them a good beating. I also recall that my dad was with me for that game as opposed to my best friend, so it dates the game pre-2001 as he died that year.

THE WEBSITE OF DREAMS - SEASON 1998/99

I did think it was the year we put 7 past them, when they had Craig Forrest in net, the same keeper who was in goal for Ipswich, in the 9-0 game. Now that was a great game to remember the 9-0...

I think the two that stand out for me, for differing reasons was the Barca 3-0 game, and also the Everton game after Sir Matt had died, that was so emotional.
