No you didn't imagine it.I did have something else originally, but decided not to bother with that. A win is a win and as fans we should all be happy. Doesn't matter.
;)

P.S I am a female, Imagine THAT! :p

We left there when I was 4, and I'm 30 now.

Nope, that was Uruguay-Scotland in Mexico 86. Never mind, I guess only a Scot or a Uruguayan would remember that

I'll be careful to keep my 1000 post for the Football Forum :D . Those geezers in the general forum are weird, I think they don't like football actually ;)

Oooops! You should do some flirting if you want us to notice ;)

I tried that in the General forum but, being married does not help me in that department.

I didn't go to Lightoaks, I went to Seedley, and then Buile Hill.

Why? A lot of people live off the "bored housewife" industry! I doubt you wouldn't get a solid following there ;)

We'll beat City and WHU, draw against Newcastle and Arse. We're due a win against Poo, so I'm predicting a narrow victory at Unfilled.

I am hardly a bored housewife. I work in a hotel, but that is not important. I should not have mentioned that I was married. ;) One does have to be careful though.

Just saw that FIFA has intervened and it looks like Giggs will be able to play on 17 November against West Ham.

I'd reckon between 11 and 13 points.
We'll beat City, West Ham and Newcastle. We're due a win against Liverpool but i'd take a draw and i think we are capable of beating the Arse but again i'd take a draw.

Sat Nov 09 2002 Manchester City (A) 3 points

Sun Nov 17 2002 West Ham United (A) one point

Sat Nov 23 2002 Newcastle United (H) three points

Sun Dec 01 2002 Liverpool (A) feck all.

Sat Dec 07 2002 Arsenal (H) three points

Liverpool haven't looked overly convincing against the big teams. Chelsea in particular, they we very lucky to get a win

If that is the case, that's what we'll get come the end of the season. Feck all. We need to close down the gap or at the very least prevent it from being wider. Pure and simple.

Same for you against:

- Saints
- Spurs
- Boro
- WBA

Feck... Looking at it, it seems you've yet to have your first convincing PL-win.

Good thing you've been hammering the might of the Z-boys, Maccabi Haifa and Olympiacos in Europe or we might have thought you were having a crap season...

TRM.

Did you watch these games? If you did, and still claim that we were lucky to beat WBA and Spurs, you have no clue about football whatsoever!

And even against Saints and Boro, we were the better team, and won desrvingly.

So, I ask you again - did you watch the games you've listed here?

I admit I didn't see the Spurs-game.
However, using the standards you use to judge Reds' performances, you will have to admit that you could well have droppped more points in those games?

The WBA Game

"It was 23 minutes before United's first decent chance arrived."

You only managed to push them back once they were down to 10 men. Untill then chances were few and far between and they had about as many as you did.

The Boro-game

"It was 25 minutes before United fashioned their first real chance"

You beat them by a penalty-goal. Alltough they didn't create many chances, the fact you needed a spot kick shows you weren't exactely walsing over them, were you?

TRM.

We had about 20 shots on goal Vs WBA, and hadn't been for the heroics of Russel Hoult, we would have won that game comfortably. So, hence, we were not LUCKY to win that game - it was deserved.

The Boro game was a poor game, from both sides. But penalties count as much as other goals, and we were the better team in that game. So, hence, we were not LUCKY to win that game.

In your games Vs Chelsea, Spurs and Leeds, you were not the best team. Spurs were VERY unlucky to lose that game (and I was there at Anfield - were you?), so were Chelsea and Leeds.

Four successive losses and a flukey win. Oops, sorry, that's Arsenal's last five games. Think we'll do better.

not just them. plenty of people on merseyside have told the same.

and what's wrong with an eye-witness report of something, AEBM? better than internet gossip news sites, surely?

"Do you take everything you post here from Andy, Snorky et al?". . .seems pretty judgemental to me. i should've thought it was pretty obvious that i form my own opinions on topics on here.

the eye-witness reports refer to wayne rooney being out on the town. just so that it's clear to you.

No, it was a question - But I do feel you're becoming more like your pal Davo, by posting what you've read and heard other say.

Like Rooney being in Barcelona..

Well,I started this thread....so this is what I think :

City (A) Mancs Lose (Because of the Haaland factor...Tiatto will put Neville G into row Z)
Happy Hammers (A) Mancs Win (Come on you Irons...prove you're better than this Gooner's prediction !)
Newcastle (H) Mancs Win (Come on Sir Bobby....why aye !)
Liverpool (A) Mancs Draw (Scousers fail to score and Mancs fail to score too !)
Arsenal (H) Mancs Lose (naturally....best side in England wins !!)

7 points from a max 15 and lucky to still be in 3rd place

COME ON YOU GUNNERS !!!!! :D

The best team in England did win the United-Arsenal game.

So where do you think (seriously!)you'll be come Dec 8th

a)Top of the league ? (yeh,right!)
b)Still third (or even 2nd? - yeh,right!)
c)Lower than third

and

a)Still in the title race?
b)Still in the title race ,but needing a miracle to finish top?
c)Realistically,completely out of the race?

I'd put answers b) to both questions.....it does seem a tough few weeks ahead !!
