.....are

Sat Nov 09 2002 Manchester City (A)
Sun Nov 17 2002 West Ham United (A)
Sat Nov 23 2002 Newcastle United (H)
Sun Dec 01 2002 Liverpool (A)
Sat Dec 07 2002 Arsenal (H)

So where do you think (seriously!)you'll be come Dec 8th

a)Top of the league ? (yeh,right!)
b)Still third (or even 2nd? - yeh,right!)
c)Lower than third

and

a)Still in the title race?
b)Still in the title race ,but needing a miracle to finish top?
c)Realistically,completely out of the race?

I'd put answers b) to both questions.....it does seem a tough few weeks ahead !!

(ps...Isn't it about time City beat you lot !! ;) )

Gillespie, I wish that you would stop calling all of us "Mancs", as it is quite insulting to be compared to that filthy lot! ;)

Whooo, tough month.

Man City are so cr*p its unbelieveable. Sun Jihai is such a sh*te defender its embarrassing. Man Utd to win that 2-0 methinks.

West Ham at home are sh*te too, though if Di Canio and Kanoute are back then it'll be tough. Man Utd to win 2-1 (just).

Newcastle are putting together a run. Shearer is scoring at a phenomenal record. Score draw methinks.

Liverpool at (Fortress?) Anfield. 2-0 to Pool (Murphy's name to appear somewhere in the scorer's list).

Arsenal should be over their bad patch by this stage. On form they are better than any other on form team, thus Arsenal to beat Man Utd.

That's a total of 7 points (realistically, possibly optimistically) out of 15. Putting them on 29.

If, big if, Chelsea and Newcastle keep a winning run going I can see Utd falling to 5th by 8th Dec. But, football's a funny old game.

I can see the Mancs staying third even if they do struggle in the next few games...

The top 3 at the moment are a level above everyone else in the league and I can't see any of the other teams putting together a consistent run

My 2 cents worth:

Liverpool about to end streak, ARSEnal about to continue the current losing streak, Man Utd the best by 8 Dec would be of course on top worst would be 2nd!

Van Nistelrooy to miraculously recuperate and back to his devastating form! *hopefully*

That's a very tough month, granted you should stroll over West Ham, Man City will be looking for a draw/win though I think you'll win! Newcastle might hit form but I still see a win for you there. Liverpool, well that could swing either way, but I do have a horrible feeling you'll put one over us, and Arsenal should beat you really.

Bring em on

i agree.. although i still see the arse and the scoushit continuing their run (a few wins and a few draws on the way, but maybe losses against us)..

anyway, i realistically see United on 3rd still by Dec 8, but the gap should be very tight. i don't see us more than 3-4 points of the lead (whoever it will be, scoushit, or ARSEholes)

An easy 15 points in my opinion.

Diego will the league's leading scorer after the next 5 matches as well.

Next weekend should be interesting. United should easily beat cITY. Arsenal are at home to Newcastle which could well go Newcastle's way after Arsenal lost 4 games and should have drawn with Fulham yesterday. Liverpool are away to Boro who aren't doing badly, a 1-1 draw would probably be a fair prediction. 5 points behind the leaders and suddenly things aren't looking bad at all.

It's only the start of November, there will be plenty of up's and down's between now and May.

This is the minimum of what we have to achieve to have any chance of the title:
man city (A) 1 point
West Ham(A) 3 points
Newcastle(H) 3 points
Liverpool(A) 1 point
Arsenal(H) 3 points

Anything less than 10 points, and we can start looking to the cups for trophies this season..

I like your predictions but I can't see it happening. unfortunately. I see 2 draws, 1 loss and 2 wins. I hope I'm wrong, btw.

That wasn't my predictions - that was what I think we have to get out of that 5 game period in order to be in with a shout.

I know that, my bad. but you did assign certain points to certain fixtures, rather than just say a min of 10 points for all of those games. ;)

That should put us nicely on track again. I would prefer 3 at Anfield though to close that gap. Maybe we'd have to do with one against Arsenal instead, although the way they are playing now we should beat them. Pity we're not playing them this week.

OK how come when I mentioned that it was only November and there was still alot of football to be played,in another thread, somebody damn near lopped my fecking head off? Funny how things work around here. November and December are going to be interesting months. This month and next month will really tell the tale when it comes to how well the team is doing and what their chances at hardware are for the end of the season.

Simple, it was probably a day-dreaming bindipper who spends his weekends in denial, fooling himself into the belief that the race is almost over.

Terribly sorry, but I can't control what gets posted by others on this site. Maybe it was because you'd said hardware instead of silverware? ;)

How are you doing anyway? Did you get to see the game on Saturday? I watched it in a bar in NYC and the place went nuts when Diego scored. I thought it was really funny when he was running around without his top on trying to tackle the Southampton players

Maybe because most of us aren't? :o

BTW, Redinsyd, your location:

"He comes from Uruguay, he made Gordon Strachan cry".

Do you mean José Batista?

From my knowledge Batista did nothing to upset Strachan directly. Unlike Diego Forlan with his late goal and shirt related antics on Saturday.
;)

Course not, you're a Salfordian like me! :D

Did you go to that school (how do you spell it?) - Light Oaks? It's called that isn't it? Bad memory I have.

Batista just happens to hold the record for the quickest man to go back to the changing room in a World Cup. I would have been upset if I were in Strachan's shoes that day. ;)

No, I only said 'hardware' ( tongue in cheek as always) here. Yea I watched it here too, at home, ( got my Premire League Pass ;) ) and was thrilled to see Phil Neville get the goal but over the moon when Deigo scored. Absolutely hilrious to watch him strip off the shirt and run around and then tackle the Southampton player. Thought for sure I would see that highlight on SportsCenter, but alas no.

And neither is Old Trafford! :D

 I tried to reply to ManUtd.USA and this message came up. It's not what he wrote, did the server invent this? Who put those words in there? Spooky

No, I was born in Park Hospital - DaveyHulme, Urmston in Trafford. Reason being because my mum had serious complications with me (women always do for some reason ;) ) and had to stay in hospital with me for three months, and apparently that was the best hospital for such things.

I used to live on Aulanda Avenue (spelling again!) until I was four. Not far from the playing fields. You know where?

 Now I see you actually wrote that. Didn't it say something about Giggs trying but not looking recovered from his injury. Did I imagine that?

PS. Look how close you are to 1000 posts - have a blitz and then start a thread to reward yourself on the General Forum ;)

If so then you lived in the next road to my mate in Oaklands Avenue. How old were you when you lived there, and how old are you now?
