Ohhh No Calamity G Neville is back

More than O'Shea. He can hardly do worse than Gary did against city.

So? Gary had a bad match, as did they all. Neither of them are as good a rightback as Gary Neville, and he wont make any more bad mistakes after that. He knew he fecked up, and will be very hurt. It'll have given him one hell of a kick up the arse.

How many of these anti Neville posts do we have to have. Is this a United supporters forum or an anti Neville forum. Why don't you lot feck off and support a good team like Liverpool or Arsenal with good knowledgeable coaches and great players. Jesus Neville makes a mistake and the knives are out. At least he gets involved in a game which is more than can be said of some of your favourites. If G Nev had played against Basel our central defence wouldn't have looked so crap and Silvetre wouldn't have needed to be swapped with O'Shea. He is always the first choice for England and has always given his all. Get with the players SAF picks and stop your sniping.

Devilish, when in the bloody hell are you going to stop with this anti Neville('s) campaign your on? You mean to tell us real supporters of MUFC that you know better than Sir Alex and S.G. Erikson in starting Gaz. That these 2 individuals who are thought of as some of the best minds in football dont know shite about Gaz's capabilities as a defender. Tell me how much do you get paid to manage the team that you do? Which I am sure has never lost a match under your leadership and has won every concievable trophy on the face of the earth. After all a great football mind like yours, you surely have got to be a manager of one of the greatest football teams that the world has never heard of.

And another thing Devilshite I understand the Nevilles like to hang out in Malta. I hope Gaz or Phil gives you a right good one on the chin if they run into you on Malta ;)

G Neville's experience could be a major help in this sort of game. performing well will be crucial for his confidence and also our confidence in all united players.

oh no.. never was.. i was the one complaining about the tactics we were using. never said once to sell anyone - i even backed phil as he is our only utility player :D

good to see them performing with 4-4-2. too bad veron isn't involved.

i made a thread about this, but I think it got deleted.. but nevermind.. :)
Just want to say.. what a superb performance by Gary, leading the backline with such authority, and made some crucial tackles.
And also the way he still played wit blood all over his ankle, top man top player.. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

This thread should be kept near the top as a reminder to all muppets who want wholesale changes. Neville was outstanding agaist pool today. You can't buy that type of comittment.

Sorry Lads but I think Gary Neville is a liability to the United team and one okay performance does not cut it for me.

I'd have O'Shea over him any day. He's fecked up before in big games and he'll feck up again.

I dont see him as liability but on the rest you are right. G Nev was excellent against Liverpool but that does not hide the fact that these performances are very rare. O Shea is more consistant and certianly better

Don't know what games you've been watching. Gary had a 'mare against City, but then so did everyone apart from Scholesy. Otherwise he's been one of our most consistent players.

Proved right mate!

:D

maybe the rare performances tag is hard. But tell me when was the last time G Neville had deserved the MOM reward

G Neville has a red heart and gives his 101%.

Yet its also a fact that the older nev lacks a bit of solidity and technique which puts him in trouble every now and then.

J O Shea on the other hand is a natural talent. He rarely puts a foot wrong and can bully anyone in the pitch

For God's sake I am not asking for G Nev's head ( I have protected G Nev in numerous occasions against ppl who wanted him out of OT)What I am asking is that he COMPETES for his place. In my opinion John O Shea deserves a place more than G Neville and the overall performance between them proves me right

Bang On. Spot On. Dead On what ever. G Neville does not deserve to be ahead of O'Shea and also does not deserve to wear the captains armband over Giggs

he was MOM against liverpool.. proves to everyone he's still worth the red jersey. he played big in a big game. best partner to beckham, why change that?

everyone on this team has had a bad patch, so has Gaz. Maybe that dip is over now. JOS is too young to take over completely.

And oh, btw, how many players do you want JOS to take over? the whole of the defence? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Everton. Gazza and Scholsey were the two best players on the pitch.

Apart from the Citeh game, name me a match this season where Gazza has had a bad game? Don't get me wrong, I am all for players competiting for places, but I think Gary Neville is worthy of being first choice RB. He's rather earned his place there after the Livershite game, don't you think?!!

Gary Neville is a RED! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

You must have a very short memory of our friend gaz. He has more lives then a cat, but sadly he has given away more stupid goals for me to give him one last chance.

I would never dare to question G Nev's commitment and I wouldnt dream of letting him go out of OT.

He is a fairly good defender and his communication with Becks is 1st class.

But I regard O SHEA as an over all better player.
He is stronger, more consistant and unlike G Nev he is not a mistake prone.

My conclusion is that G Nev should play in his place ONLY if we can find an alternate place for O Shea.

My ideal line up is G NEV - Ferdinand - Silvestre-OSHEA

BUT If i had 2 choose between them i opt for O OSHEa

are you trying to rid us of great players bazalini???

you may be the one with the short memory in this instance. he featured in the most first team gams for us because of his consistency. he makes mistakes, i wouldn't argue - and costly ones too. but overall he has been fantastic. apart from the mistakes, his overall game is good enough for him to wear Red, eat red, and shit red.

and no bazalini, we don't have 4 JOS to take over the whole defence. Gaz will eventually be replaced by either Brown or JOS, but as long as he can bounce back with performances like the one on Sunday, i'm willing to give him my whole support.
