  • Parthiv Patel (wk) - Made his India debut at 17 and earned a recall at 31. You don't do that if you're shite, not even in India. Consistency and average keeping skills have stunted his career but there's no doubt the man can bat. Good dasher to have at the top and will give me a good start.
  • Abdool Samad - An average of 30 and a strike ate of 70 is good going at the top of the order/ As a bonus I have a good left-right combination at the top which should deter the shite bowling attack even more.
  • Regis Chakabva - an up and coming player who plays the game in the mould of Taibu. Due to Zimbabwe's lack of cricket he hasn't had the chance to shine against top sides on a regular basis but definitely one for the future.
  • Ashan Priyanjan - An ex captain the Srilankan U19 team and someone who scored a lovely 74 on debut against Pakistan. Can also bowl a bit of decent off spin. He will help keep the score ticking over in the middle overs before a final assault.
  • Tatenda Taibu - A fabulously talented player who's career was fractured by the shitty Zimbabwean politics. Over 3000 runs in ODI cricket at an average of 30. Never quite lived up to the the label of Andy Flower but he was the black captain of Zimbabwe as well as being the youngest Test captain is Test history. One of his best innings was a brilliant 103 against a SA attack consisting of Pollock, Morkel and Ntini.
  • Yusuf Pathan - Not many players who are part of 2 world cup winning squads are shite. And Pathan is no exception. His batting style ensured inconsistency but on his day a fearsome hitter of the ball. He can take any attack apart and a perfect number 6.
  • Mark Ealham - An unspectacular player but tidy player. Will bowl his 10 overs very economically and try to slog a few or nudge singles around when batting depending on the situation.
  • Anwar Ali - Decent-ish bowler who can smack a few. Given the quality of batting in the other he should be fine.
  • Roger Harper - You don't play for the West Indies in the 80's and 90's if you are shite. Over a 100 games with 100 wickets is a pretty good record for Harper. With an excellent economy rate of less than 4 he'll ensure the runs don't leak in the middle overs.
  • Jade Dernbach - Jade "death bowler" Dernbach. His variety of slow balls and yorkers towards the end will be invaluable.
  • Bryan Strang - A leg spinner is always nice to have in a team. He'll keep the runs down while providing me with crucial breakthroughs in the middle overs.
Cheer's for the write-up @Akash, much appreciated.
