O Shea - Review??

The Blanc brigade will have your head for that.... <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

We need to get a CB partnership. That will not happen with Blanc playing. He's going to be finished at the end of this year anyway. The more Rio and O'Shea play together the better for the future

At the beggining of the season before any games had been played i posted a thread backing o'shea and stated that he should get more time, i was then told by numerous people on here that he wasnt ready and "is only 21" etc.

glad to see nobodys saying that now...

I still think we need Blanc for Cl this season.

Fergie couldnt afford not to sell Stam; he was a fecking steroid freak plus we got a great price for him.

all we need now is for the team to 'click' we have the potential and got stonger and stronger last year. The middlesbough game will be a real test - they really hurt us last year, if we can beat them now, even with all the inside knowledge Steve Mclaren has, then that will show that we are progressing.

I was glad to see that O'Shea impressed greatly against Chelsea. To be honest though, I was greatly impressed with Brown too when he came through the ranks but after his injury he had a bad spell of luck and hasn't really recovered his form. Fingers crossed that the injury jinx thing won't get to O'Shea.

Good article here on O'Shea in the <a href="http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/man_united/story.jsp?story=327319" target="_blank">Independent</a>.

And I said it last season b4 he got injured. If he hadn't been injured, I think he would have continued in the first team last season.

Things are looking good for him, already has a couple of games under his belt and is bound to get quite a few more, i guess the question is now; is he ready for champions league matches? he is more than ready for the prem but europe is a different kettle of fish....what do you think?

The premiership is much faster than Europe, if he can cope with the pace of the game in the prem. then he should be alright. Also he seem mature enough not to dive in for tackles which is important cause the refs in the CL are much stricter on stuff like that
