Top player as a RCB in a back 3. He's way better there than as a wingback, solid defensively and offers a lot for a CB on the offensive.

He's been a great buy, hopefully Amorim persists with him there.

Mostly agree but he has shown against Arsenal that he can cover very well as a wingback.

Started the season excellently, dipped poorly in the middle half, ending it strong, hopefully.

Was very impressed with his last 2 displays at RCB and at WB as well, such a classy player

Quality player, just needs more around him. No man is an island and without support and outlets, like any player, he struggles to make that much impact. Great game yesterday though.

That was probably the only good match he's had at wingback though, with him being average to poor every other time. Who knows, maybe that was the start of him adjusting to that position and he'll be a good option from now on, but more likely it'll continue being a position that he struggles in.

Whereas at RB or RCB it's been the exact opposite, with him being almost exclusively good to very good bar a couple of games a few weeks ago where he dropped off a bit.

Casual competence.

Maz always looks so calm and in control. And his lanky build and running style makes him look like he's just strolling. Almost always makes the right pass at the right time.

Never afraid to be an enforcer, though. Don't make him angry or come after one of his guys!

I love watching him play.

There’s really no competition just now, Bruno is winning the club POTY even if he takes a dump on the holy trinity statue

Been really impressed with him at RCB. Suits his game perfectly. The back three gives him license to join in with attacks and his reading of the game is superb. One of the few transfers over the last decade where we got a bargain

Bruno was great last night but in the main his form has been up and down this season.

Let's see how he finishes the season..

I would be surprised if you can find more than 100 united fans worldwide who wouldn’t give POTS to Bruno. Without mazraoui, we would be 15th and in the 1/4 finals of the Europa. Without Bruno, we would be in the relegation zone and out of Europe.

Going on performance levels over the season. Mazraoui has been more consistent and if the season ended today would be worthy winner of Club POTY.

The 'fans player of year award' i agree Bruno would be a bigger favourite seeing he has a larger fanatical fanbase who will champion his cause no matter what.

I would be keen to know our record when Maz plays RCB?

Making sure the Sociedad players don't scuff up penalty spot. Good lad.

Thats pure football IQ, clearly Sociedad players were targetting it. We see teams like Madrid who by design always protect the penalty spot. Glad to see Mazraoui is aware of this and protected it.

Big shout out to him for playing every minute during Ramadan so far. It's so impressive how so many footballers not only play during this time but seem to up their game a bit!

Only watched the first half, don't think he was great. He seems better in central positions than out wide on the ball. Defensively he is solid 1 vs 1 all over the pitch.

I think he's been very solid in the last 4 or 5 games. I don't like to see him playing as a fullback that often but his versatility and consistency has made him a good signing.

I think he can be a good wing back and create more on the ball than Dalot. But suspect, Amorim choses Dalot given the need for Wingback to be constantly up and down. Maz probably doesn't have the robustness of physique to do that all season long given his injury record at Bayern.

He was okay for most of the game but felt both he and Dorgu had to do better when Elanga took shot. Great run by Elanga but none of 3 players trying to catch him actually stopped him.

What was he doing for Elanga's goal? You can't sit off for half the pitch. He was well positioned initially and then just let Elanga do what he wanted to do.

He was perfectly positioned to stop Forest's goal but didnt, he was ahead of Elanga and could easilly have moved across in to his path to stop the run

He was brilliant apart the goal which was sort of mistake of all involved. Eldga run in between them. Should have been solved by Garnacho's better tackle..

Not really perfectly positioned, he had Awonji behind his back for most of the run, and was the only one to take him out. Elanga already had first Garnacho and then Dorgu on him, so it would be a huge mistake to shift over towards Elanga and leave Awonji alone. The issue was that Elanga, deftly, cut over to his right for the last ten metres, pulling towards Maz and away grom Dorgu, who was unaware and slow to react and didn’t follow him until too late.

It was brilliant all the way from Elanga, and helped by a) our rest defence from the corner forgot their roles (apart from Maz), b) Garnacho effortfully but unwizely threw himself to the floor in a hopeful tackle attempt to leave it 2v2, c) Dorgu losing Elanga by being somewhat unaware towards the end of the run, and d) Onana losing track of his goal line position, standing way over on his right side. Maz is probably the only one I’d give a pass, though none of these mistakes are outright gaffe’s it’s stuff that happens.

The bad luck was for everyone to be a bit off at the same time, and Elanga to be at the very top of his game, as he is at the moment.

Yeah this is a good post. Watched the goal again last night before going to sleep and agree with this. Mazraoui is actually least to blame as he had to mark Awoniyi so made no sense to move towards Elanga. Garnacho failing to make a tackle and Dorgu failing to block Elanga's shot resulted in goal. It's a shame as Forest hardly created anything other than the goal (1-2 shots from decent positions like Gibbs-White's effort).

Just seen there goal again and why on earth is he backing away for? Put a foot in man!

Because if he gets too close to Elanga (who has two other defenders who should be able to stop him) it's just a simple pass to the other attacker who is then definitely 1v1 with the keeper.

Mazraoui is the only one of the four players involved (Garnacho, Dorgu and Onana being the others) who probably did the right thing. Unfortunately because the others didn't do their part it ended up looking like Mazraoui should have done something differently.

All 4 Utd players including the keeper were very poor for the goal. Especially Garnacho and Dorgu. None of them really commited fully.

This can happen sometimes when 2 or more players are defending against 1. They sort of think it's under control and don't fully commit.

It says something that this isn't getting bumped, just another very assured performance at the back.

He generally plays really well in that role. Another good display there.
