Not able to log in? [Solution available]

Just for others who use Chrome and can't login due to issues (even login just redirects to home page)

1) Open Redcafe on Chrome
2) Click the 'i' (i with a circle) in the address bar. In the latest Chrome versions, this is located at the start of address before, just before the 'www' part of the address
3) On clicking the i, you get loads of information about the site, like connection details, cookies and permissions. In the cookies section, there would be a link which says the number of cookies redcafe has planted in your computer. For me, it is 7, for others, it may be higher/lower. Click that link
4) You would see Cookies grouped by URL. Click on each of the URL/folder and click Remove
5) Try logging in and it should work

I had the same issue. Clearing cookies/site data resolved it.

Excellent. I forgot that Chrome had this feature, but my God, it is so useful. I can finally use the Caf on my laptop again!

Faced a similar issue. Chrome wasn't letting me log in. It worked after deleting cookies. Thanks.

Clearing the data worked for me. For anyone using Chrome for Android who doesn't want to delete their entire cookie cache, click the 3 dot menu in the top right (while browsing the caf) and then click the ( i ) symbol which is fourth along the top row.

This allows you clear and reset cookies just for the caf, the same way those on a desktop browser were doing it from their address bar.

You can clear cookies just for Redcafe and not everything(safari and chrome and maybe other browsers). Or do you not want to do that for some reason either?

How do I delete cookies for a specific site please? (I use Chrome) Thanks in advance......although it hasn't logged me out again yet, touches wood.

If you are on your laptop/desktop, check post https://www.redcafe.net/threads/not-able-to-log-in-with-firefox-on-pc.425120/page-2#post-20263700. (have checked and it solves the problem)

If you are on Android phone and use chrome, check 3 posts above (diarm's post #58). (Don't have android, but it should work )

If you are on iOS and use chrome, switch to safari as I know the troubleshooting for that :D

Thanks for this. Worked a charm on Firefox too, pretty much exact same method.

I can't log in at all using Microsoft Edge browser. Every time I click on log in/sign up in the page just flickers like a very fast refresh and that's it. It doesn't direct me to the log in page as usual. Because of that i'm using Chrome to get on the Caf with, but everything is way out of proportion. It's like the zoom is set to 150% Very strange and very annoying. :(

Have you tried clearing your cookies for the site in Edge? Unfortunately I think you may need to clear all cookies, after a quick Google I didn't see how to clear cookies for a specific site. I don't use Windows though so somebody who does may know better.

Also, what happens when you go here: https://www.redcafe.net/login

Do you see a login form or are you redirected to another page?

Thanks so much mate, I cleared all my cookies and my entire history & everything else, but nothing happened so I closed everything down and did a full restart and that seems to have cured the problem. I could only log in with the link your provided above though, if I just clicked the Log In/Sign Up tab it just continued to do the partial refresh malarkey that it was doing before.

Touch wood everything is sorted now though, so thanks once again. :)

Glad to hear it. So is the login refresh still happening or not?

Cleared cookies on Chrome (iOS), which let me access the login screen, but when I try and log in again it says that I'm banned. Won't let me log out again without clearing cookies.

Can log in on Safari without an issue from the same device.

Edit: Sorted.

Cannot log in on my phone

Using Chrome. Doesnt appear to be an "i" on the address bar

Finalllllly! I tried the clear cookies option, and it didn't work. I then did a chrome hard reload/clear cache and it worked. Thank god for chrome developer options.
My redcafe addiciton has grown the past few hours from not being able to login.
