Gaming Nintendo Switch

it's a shame you only want it for Zelda considering all the game it has, what kind of games are you interested in?

I don't play games very often so when I do I like something I can get stuck in to and get lost in.

My mate's on about getting one as well though and I know how good Mario Kart is with friends.

Any recommendations?

I recommend you take a look at Astral Chain it's coming at the end of August, looks fantastic, if you into metroidvanias I highly recommend Hollow Knight.

Just finished Mario odyssey and loved it. Or finished main game but loads of post game content apparently. But this is definitely up there with Mario 64/Sunshine for me.

Post game is the best part about the game, try getting to the darker side of the moon, it's great.

I think I'm at like 240 moons, read that you need 500 to get to the darker side! Looking forward to it though. Great to have that longevity to the game, always have random moons to go for. Only walked around the mushroom kingdom briefly but loving all the nostalgia being there. Just a great game.

Anyone playing Dragon Quest Builders 2? It's bizarre but I actually really like the demo, tempted to buy the full game...

Me and @Earthquake have been playing it. It’s the best game I never knew I wanted.

Fire Emblem is about to get in the way though

Shit! Didn't realise Fire Emblem was already on us...

It is indeed, played for an hour last night in the end but put it down so I can focus properly this weekend rather than play tired and ruin today

so generally if I'm a big JRPG fan will I be into Fire Emblem?
If you like strategy RPG's, definitely. Amazing series. Story and characters are always a bit animeish though. Which for me is something I have to bite through, but for others just doubles the fun.

Jut ordered it there. Haven't touched my Switch since Christmas so I figure it's about time.

Ugh, so many of the levels on Mario Maker's endless challenge are so utterly shite. I have no idea how people can think their levels are in any way close to being good.

I'll just stick to using Course World I think

Yeah that's what i'm doing now. Just going through the top levels and hot courses. There is a lot of shite levels on this game, which you expect form user created content. But there is some gold on there, too. I love the 20-30 second speed runs levels. So much fun. I'm following a few people who basically specialise in creating these levels.

Yeah the top/hot levels is how I was finding levels before, but thought I'd give the endless challenge a go...nope

I really like the kaizo type levels, I always thought I'd find them too frustrating but I'm a fan.

Fire Emblem is fecking mint. It's like Persona mixed with tactical Sims. Off sick this week and I'm blasting through it and due to the three house thing it feels like there's loads of replayability too.

Never played one but have to say I'm tempted by this one. Only thing that puts me off is the school stuff and the socialising.

You spend just as much time, if not more, than battling in it so if you don't like that sort of thing you should probably skip this.

It's not that I don't like it, I've never played a game with those aspects before and I'm unsure if I'll enjoy it. Probably grab it when it eventually drops in price.

I mean it's not really much different than character relationships in bioware games, it's just self contained in a single location and has different ways of building those relationships.

I'm loving it (Thee houses), best Fire Emblem in years. And I don't even like anime tropes. It's brilliant.

I just finished my 4th playthrough, what an amazing game.

This was my first Fire Emblem game, I wasn't hyped for it at all until the last trailer I decided to buy it, and wow what a game! the versatility of every route is really amazing.

If you caught the fire emblem bug, Path of Radiance holds up very well. I would never recommend someone to use any form of emulation software and pirated ROMS, but I hear some villains do..
