How annoying is Bowser in Bowser's Fury?
It's incredible how the developers thought him appearing every couple of minutes was a good idea.

It's brilliant.

They're clearly experimenting for the next fully fledged 3d Mario.
I like the direction they are going in with Bowser's Fury a lot, it's just that Bowser adds nothing to it.

He doesn't even disappear after I collected 50 insignia and beat him for good. Makes me not want to collect the rest.

He really does though.

The most obvious use for him is to smash Bowser blocks, but he opens up new areas that are not accessible when he's asleep.

The fact he appears every 5 mins or so adds some real stakes to some of the platforming sections because he can feck you up during them.

You have like 30 power ups at all times, so there is basically no way Bowser can feck you up. I have seen that many people like the implementation of Bowser, but I would have loved an option to turn it off somehow.

But then the game doesn't work. I'm not sure how you can have played it in its entirety and still come to the conclusion Bowser adds nothing to the gameplay.

Just because of the Bowser blocks? Regarding new areas I would have preferred them to open once I collected a certain number of insignia or something like that. Or just open up the whole map after the credits rolled.

I think you've completely missed the point of this game and what it's trying.

Would you say the game is unplayable?

I'll see myself out.

Mario rabbids going for £11.09 in the eshop sale how does the gameplay and stuff fare compared to the other switch Mario games?

It's a turn based tactical strategy game that is actually really good but nothing like other mario games.

As @Shamwow says it's nothing like a Mario game at all. It's more like the XCOM games. I really liked it. It seemed a bit easy to begin with, but it does get more challenging the further you go, and it you can't really overlevel for the last world.

Thanks guys! Probably gonna give it a go then.

Completed Limbo. Didn't love it but watched the story explainer and realised how thick I must be as it all went over my head

Completed Super 3D World today. Personally thought it was superb. Very underrated Mario game. I think it's defnitely a must have if you didn't play it on the Wii U.

yeah, theres 4 bonus worlds i think, theres a rocket that appears way back at the start of world 1 to get there, not sure what requirements there are to unlock it though

I can't remember if I did everything. I know I intended to go back for the remaining apples when I got a better dpad. Just checking the steam progress bar, I might not even have done the B sides. It might be worth returning to soon. But first slugcat.

If you ever return to it, let me know how you do.

Is Rain World any good?

Nintendo Co. plans to unveil a model of its Switch gaming console equipped with a bigger Samsung OLED display this year, hoping the larger touchscreen can prop up demand in time for the holidays, people familiar with the plan said.

Samsung Display Co. will start mass production of 7-inch, 720p-resolution OLED panels as early as June with an initial monthly target of just under a million units, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing internal matters. The displays are slated for shipment to assemblers around July, the people said. Representatives for Nintendo and Samsung Display declined to comment.

Nintendo decided to go with rigid OLED panels for the new model, the people said, a cheaper but less flexible alternative to the type commonly used for high-end smartphones. The latest model will also come with 4K ultra-high definition graphics when paired with TVs, they said. That could intensify a longstanding complaint of developers, who have struggled with the difference in resolution between handheld and TV modes and now face a bigger gap between the two

@esmufc07 what did you do to the thread creator?

This is more a One X or PS4 pro type upgrade, where the FPS and resolution will improve rather than a full blown successor as it would be madness by Nintendo to release a new console currently considering how the Switch is selling.

What was it about? I've never read anything about it and was content to feel very smart believing it to be a metaphor about Orpheus following Eurydice into Tartarus.
It's about a boy who is in limbo, awaiting his entry to heaven or hell which is what the light is about. The spider is his phobia, the other kids bullied him, this was during the Vietnam war (the type of machine guns), his father worked in construction and they said something about the hotel that I can't remember. The end, when the gravity is all over the place references the car crash he died in, which is why at the end he smashes through glass. The girl at the end is either his sister who also died in the crash or she survived and was burying him.

Ooo I might go back and replay it with that in mind

Don't bring your sordid affair into this thread as well you scumbags.

No more sitting on the fence, Ole. We gave you Ori and we can give you master chief. What have Sony given you?

Will you be purchasing the switch pro? Exclusive third party games is a bit shitty.

I never bought any of the upgrades for DS or 3DS so probably wont with this either. There were some games that only worked with the DS/3DS Pros or whatever they were called, but not many at all, so hopefully this will be the same.

If the new upgrade gets Street Fighter or Tekken then I'll buy it. Otherwise, i mainly just play indie games so not going to be too bothered.

Is there a switch pro around the corner? I'm looking at this being my next games console and its stopping me buying the original switch.

Original will be supported for a few more years. Pro is supposed to come out this year, but it’s going to be extremely difficult to buy judging by what’s going on with new tech coming out in the last few months. Even the current Switch is quite hard to buy as a lot of places are out of stock. Switch Pro will just give a boost in FPS and resolution to games. So you will have to be pretty quick when it comes to preordering just like with the PS5/Series X if you want one this year.
