Will grab one when Legends ZA drops. Hopefully supply isn't an issue by then. Here's to another generation of Pokemon and Xenoblade
Switch is still the best selling console of those currently available. It was always going to sell very well.Genuinely surprised at the state of the pre orders. I can understand Sony given the PS5 and the hype (at the time) as I'm assuming they control the majority share in this gaming market.
But I wouldn't have thought Nintendo to have the same demand, surely it's scalpers attempting to botch MSRP and make a killing.

That a new Mario Kart as a launch game explains the numbers.
Of course there will be plenty of scalpers. An I don't expect you not to be able to walk into a game store and pickup a console on launch day, as was the case with PS5.
I mean, pretty sure you could get the latest Xbox day one. Take your point though.Has there been a console where you could do that? I remember it being hard to get the 360 back in the day and had to wait months even though I had it preordered

Yep, you absolutely could. There were loads of them about.I mean, pretty sure you could get the latest Xbox day one. Take your point though.
I did it with the original Switch, despite talk at the time of it being hard to get.Has there been a console where you could do that? I remember it being hard to get the 360 back in the day and had to wait months even though I had it preordered
Yeah walked into a Media Markt 3 days after launch and they were abound. Same for the first Switch which I got a day after launch, and Lite/OLED. I have preordered 2 but it’s likely that I would be able to grab one in Krakow off the shelf on June 5th anyway.I mean, pretty sure you could get the latest Xbox day one. Take your point though.
Speaking of trusted retailers, I would add that anybody who has ordered from Amazon should open the package right in front of the driver.I've got my pre-order in with Argos, thanks to @Bojan11 alerting me and have cancelled the ShopTo after they did the same thing to me as you. Still not sure whether to go in with someone else, especially so since Argos take the money in advance. ShopTo are wishy-washy in my experience - a proper 50/50 so I'm not surprised they've done this.
Argos have always been rock solid with this stuff once an order is in, but I've found John Lewis and Very to be the gold standard as they make you a priority no matter what and even deliver early. The former haven't even started their item page and Very's stock is very much be first at an alert, but yeah, if you don't mind when yours arrives it make sense to go with your most trusted retailer. Mine is very much time dependant, so don't want to take any risks with it.
Yeah, got the same thing.Just had an email saying my ShopTo order has moved up from back order to first batch!
Take it the price point has meant quite a few cancellations.
Are you sure you didn’t just order sticky paper by mistake.Speaking of trusted retailers, I would add that anybody who has ordered from Amazon should open the package right in front of the driver.
There was far too much shady stuff happening with Amazon when the PS5 was being delivered. I had the same issue with a MacBook, where it was replaced with sticky paper. So I have never trusted Amazon with expensive tech since, even though their customer service is excellent.

Did you guys pay the money in full?Yeah, got the same thing.
I did yeah, on a credit card though. I’m not a mentalist.Did you guys pay the money in full?
I think retailers are finding out this week confirmed stock amounts for the first batch, and they most likely undercut the estimates.
As others have said, I bet they'll be found in stores anyway. Smyths normally always have walk in stock held back.
Pretty sure all 14 people who bought an Xbox Series S had no hassle getting one.
You have a user in this very thread saying they think the price is insane but that they have pre-ordered it anyway. Waiting is just not an option. The FOMO around gaming, live music, etc is completely out of hand and is in turn pushing prices even further up. I'm trying to stay out of it until the madness subsides a bit, if it ever does. Even products as shitty as Evercade cartridges and HyperMegaTech!'s Super Pockets are selling like hot cakes and some of the discontinued cartridges are sold for hundreds of euros/pounds.Buying anything video game related day 1 is an expensive gamble. So much shit releases and still needs patches to be functional.
Did it ask you in full HD?Yeah it was dead easy. Plonked it in my basket, it asked me to confirm a few things, couple of questions about whether I was sure I wanted to make thousands of pounds of savings each year with gamepass and away I went.
Delivered on launch day no problems.

Aww, don't worry, there's still second place to race for!Glad you're joining us friend.
Well, kinda.
I got an email on April 2nd at 18:00 saying I'd been selected and would receive a link in another email. I then got the second email today at 12:20.never got an invite and I meet all criteria.
I have my console preorder but really wanted that Gamecube controller
When did you submit your email to be added to their list?
Unfortunately, this will always be the case for the official classic controllers. They are exclusive to people with the Nintendo Switch Online subscription through their store.Jealous! I think I fecked myself by only opting in to receive marketing comms the other day. According to what they put out, they were looking at data as of the 31stUnfortunately, this will always be the case for the official classic controllers.
