Gaming Nintendo 3DS vs PS Vita thread.

MM was a strange one for me, you would do the side quest and help out said villager then play the song of time and its like nothing ever happened, then there are the ones that really catch you in the feels like the Kafei/Anju sidequest, all that hard work and for what? The biggest side quest in a Zelda game to date, that involves every major character in town and the ending just seems hollow somehow.

Always wondered if you could do all the sidequests in one single three day cycle and then go beat the final boss.

Beyond that its a fantastic game, each character you meet has a story and even the dungeons are deeper in meaning than simply go in and collect X item

Probably my second favorite Zelda after Twilight Princess

Well I didn't want to go it to it too much, Earthquake needs to just play it ;)

But yes, the few issues you talk about are what keeps it third behind A link to the past and Ocarina of time for me.

Just saw a few people talking about OOT 3D being expensive/hard to find, and boy they aren't wrong. There's only one on eBay at the moment and it's £70

They're listed at £35.00 on Shopto, albeit on back order.
Also £45.00 on Play.com, which is steep but hardly as bad as £70.00!

Like the Wind Waker

Nintendo games never go cheap and often become hard to source

I so wish Id kept all my old consoles and games.

Me Too. The amount of times I've almost repurchased a Gamecube in the last 6 months or so. :(

Ah right, didn't check those sites!

Buy lots to sell in a few years.

I've never sold any games  Well, there was one PS1 game but I bought that back. The prices NES and SNES games especially go for these games I'd hate to have to buy them back.

Get a Cube Bill, they're dead cheap!

So should I get OOT or MM anyway?

I know most consider OOT the best/goat.

I sold my copy of Windwaker for the Gamecube years and years ago for about 20 quid on ebay. It also had a disc with OOT, Majoras mask and the original 2 zeldas.

I have recently seen this collection for silly amounts of money

Needless to say this makes me mad

I also had a huge collection of N64, SNES and NES games including ROB the freakin Robot. All sold for pittance when I was young and retarded.

I know!

I haven't played the games I have for my current systems yet. I don't think I'd find the time to make it worthwhile.

I'll probably get one eventually though!

But buying games is more fun than playing them...

Too expensive to get both, plus I will feel all Zelda'd out. I'm rubbish when I have lots of games to choose from, nevermind when 2 are from the same series. I'd end up ignoring both thinking I'll decide which to play another time.

Then get Majora's Mask before it goes up in price too, and then get OOT when you see it for a good price in the future.

Good plan. So playing MM before OOT is cool? I know it doesn't really matter in the Zelda universe as there is a lot of back and forth and stuff anyway and alternate stories or whatever but MM is a direct sequel right?

I think Twilight Princess is the OOT sequel. Majora's Mask is just kind of out there by itself I think. Who knows, the Zelda timeline is insane.

Yep, it's perfectly fine to play MM without playing OOT first. It's just that the setting and the time that both were released gives the impression that MM is a direct sequel.

Oh ok, cheers guys. That makes it easier then.

Yeah I loved it so much (my 3ds copy arrvied this mroning)

You needed the expansion pack to play it on N64. One of the few games that required it

The timeline splits into 3 after OoT. MM is the direct sequel in one of them in which Twilight Princess follows after. It's all a bit wacky.

Yeah, when I get round to the N64, whenever that'll be, I'll be getting of of those, and hopefully the game, too!

You need an N64. Especially as it's you and you like old games and stuff. Rareware

I'm gonna trade in some games for this after work, I absolutely cannot wait.

Not sure yet, gonna have a look through my collection and see what to sell, must have loads of games kicking around I never play anymore!

Yeah well I've got... uh... I don't know what I've got :(

I actually have first edition releases of nearly all the Zelda games, the gold cart Zelda 2 is

I should have them all really, but I haven't seen Minish cap and Oracle of Ages in years (though much of my collection is boxed away and god knows what I have) and I gave Spirit tracks to someone.

Wasnt Zelda part 1 a gold cart too?

Do you have a Robotic Operating Buddy?

I've got a new 3ds to play Majoras Mask. Can you guys recommend me some other games to get? Not had a handheld game since the original Pokemon Ruby.
