So there is no guarantee he will join United, but you guarantee he won't join United? The only one speaking nonsense is you. I don't think others have ever said Sancho is a guarantee next season. People are simply saying if the strategy is to go for Sancho, people would rather do that then just end up with a poor man's version of Sancho.
So I don't think you understand English for one because I said that there's no guarantee that Sancho will join United
(which is a fact). Also, in my opinion, I think he won't join United... because I feel that there will be other lucrative options that may come by next year
(and yes, being at Dortmund should be considered one of them)
You do realize that the last recognized RW we signed, was Valencia back in 2009. Since then we've had to use Lingard, Mata, Dalot, Ashley Young, Rashford (neither of whom are actually RW). You could argue that we bought Depay and Angel Di Maria but neither of them actually played on the RW. They were predominately used on the left side.
As for Sancho's options, no doubt he's someone whose grounded and would strategically choose where to go next. But what makes you think that United would be the best position for him? All the options you mentioned were from the PL. For all you know, he wouldn't want to come to the PL.
Juventus may look to freshen things up next season and go for Sancho. There's a high chance they could lose Dybala.
Also,
Bayern have just moved on Ribery and Robben and are looking to have their positions filled up. The natural progression of most Dortmund players is to end up at Bayern, so they could also be an option.
Chelsea, as you mentioned will look to spend big next season since they lost Hazard and will try to get a marquee player and Sancho would be that marquee player who could play for them for years to come especially if they qualify for Europe again with Lampard in-charge.
PSG is another team which cannot be taken out of the equation. They are constantly on the watch out for superstar caliber players especially if they move Neymar on. If
Liverpool lose Salah to Real or PSG next year, they will be in the market for a RW and considering how dormant they've been in the market, they could use up the money they haven't spent in this summer for next summer.
Lastly,
Real Madrid, who have already had a bad preseason with the 7-2 drubbing by Atletico. They will continue spending to try and win the La Liga again. Very few players have refused to turn down Real in the past if they come calling, I don't think Sancho could resist.
There you go, I've mentioned 6 teams who are in a better position than us who could persuade Sancho to join them instead of us. And as stated earlier, he could remain at Dortmund to further improve on himself. Last but not the least, Sancho's worth is around 90 - 100m at the moment. If he continues to improve, he will be worth around 120m or so and do you think Ed or the board will be convinced to spend that much on him?
