NFL Thread 2019

Every time that I see Shanahan, I think about Elway's decision to hire a defensive coach when he already had Phillips and Shanahan was looking for a head coaching job. To me it's one of the dumbest thing that I have seen in sport.
Now Shanahan Jr is leading maybe the hottest team in the league.

The last time a Shanahan had a competent defense and a good QB, he won 2 SB’s in a row and should’ve had a 3rd to start the run were it not for the fecking jags and that serial cock blocker Coughlin.

Which year was this? I thought their 2005 season should have resulted in a Super Bowl win, but they had to go and refuse to show up against the Steelers in the AFC Championship game. If not that, they'd have easily beaten the Seahawks.

Watching Greg Olsen on First Take right now (Panthers have a bye). He's gonna be a great analyst/pundit/commentator if he chooses to go the tv route when his career is done. Natural in front of the camera that's well-spoken and providing some good insight.

Didn’t he do some TV stuffs whilst he was injured last year or the year before?

Apparently he’s gonna call a game on Fox this week as the color guy. Already got job offers from both Fox and ESPN when his playing career is over.

Predictions tonight then?

I think it'll be tight for the majority of the way with Chiefs pulling away at the end.

27-17

Mahomes is still gimped by the high ankle sprain, and his new one-footed throwing motion doesn't pan out. Broncs continue to suck at tanking as Flacco relives former glory against a Chiefs D inspired by watching the BigXII: 3-9 Denver.

Broncos/Flacco making the Chiefs look like they have 5 Aaron Donalds on their d line.

this really sucks for the chiefs. talk about a team that doesnt everything right. first they draft a player and develop him into an mvp. then they sign the 2nd best qb in the league to be a backup. so how do they get rewarded? first chad henne gets hurt and now patricks mahomes is out. life just isnt fair some times

Has Chiefs D become good or Broncos O become worse?
They didn't become worse, they stayed the same and are a Flacco led offense. He looked like he needed a walking stick out there.

Wouldn't be the worst for the Texans bye chances if Mahomes misses a few weeks. They've got a "hard" schedule coming up too with the Packers and Vikings in the next two games.

Would be a shame if he's out for the season though (even if it's great to see all those picking him in the second round of their fantasy drafts sulking right now).

I hope Mahomes isn’t done for the season.

Yikes. I hope this means Sanders is available at least.

Hope Mahomes is back soon.

Simply won’t know until the MRI.

I dislocated my knee cap circa 5 years ago. Didn’t feel too bad, could walk albeit with a huge limp. Thought it would be chill and I’d be back to normal in no time. I strained the ligament but no significant damage.

Turns out I was in a locked knee brace for a month I.e no bend, then a bendy knee brace for some time after that. Took a long time to heal and mine wasn’t even considered that bad. Nothing like a shoulder dislocation which I thought!

Obviously though, their medical support I’m assuming is significantly better and with all the physio etc. Could really go either way.

I really hope he’s not out and also that there’s no longer term damage.
