NFL Thread 2019

I'm seeing a lot of people going crazy about how incredible the Patriots are after last night.

Not to say they aren't bloody good but let's not get it twisted based on last night. We (Steelers) were absolutely shit. Genuinely horrendous and I think quite a few other teams would have put up even more points against us last night. Defensively and offensively embaressing. Not to try to take anything away from them but we made the Patriots look even better than they are IMO.

NFC North looks to be the toughest division this season. NFC overall is far tougher than AFC.

Idk, the NFC West with the Rams, Seahawks and 49ers is tougher in my opinion. AFC West with LAC, KC and DEN might also be tough. Can't forget the usual suspects in the AFC North either. Think we will have a better picture in a couple of weeks.

Have y’all ever looked at how athletic Christian McCaffrey’s family is?
Christian's father, Ed McCaffrey, played college football at Stanford and in the NFL, mostly for the Denver Broncos, from 1991 to 2003. His mother, Lisa Sime, played soccer at Stanford. His older brother Max played football at Duke University, and then on several NFL teams as a wide receiver.[71] His younger brother, Dylan, is a quarterback at the University of Michigan.[72]His youngest brother, Luke, is a quarterback at the University of Nebraska.[73] His uncle, Billy McCaffrey, played college basketball at Duke and Vanderbilt University.[74][75] His maternal grandfather is Dave Sime, an Olympic track star.[76]

Imagine the pressure

That's pretty impressive.

When you have DNA oozing through you like that, you just hope you don't get led down the wrong path growing up! That's a privileged and high-class family right there. All those schools are private elites (i.e. Duke, Stanford, Vanderbilt) or public elite schools (i.e. Michigan, Nebraska).

Saints are shit. Jesus Christ. Might aswell just give the Texans the game now.

Not sure Watson will finish the game

Got a game now

Saints need to get a hit against Watson surely now. Even if it's late

Yeah, he's knackered anyway, everytime he sits on the bench you just know that bruise is getting tighter and more painful. They should be using their backup now, Watson too scared to get hit again.

What a pass by Brees in the face of all that pressure and as he was getting hit.

Well looks like I was wrong. I was thinking this might be a down year for Brees with Ingram gone and them dependent on Kamara.... Maybe not.

So DeShaun Watson has been sacked 6 times and comes back to make those huge throws. Amazing.

Great stuff by the saints to win it anyway.

He could have kicked it from 5 yards behind, still would have made it, no?
