NFL 2024 | Wild Card Weekend

I think itd be less of an upset if the Packers did get the win on Sunday. I don't think they're as much of an underdog as they were this time last season. They've been good in a stacked division. Hurts is coming in off concussion protocol. He got his head bounced off the ground against Washington because he dove instead of slid, and didn't clear protocol for the 2 games after, I'd be surprised if he's anywhere near 100%. Though Love is coming in banged up too, and I believe they'll be missing Watson. Maybe it'll be the Saquon Barkley and the Josh Jacobs show.

If the Eagles win Sunday, I don't think they get past either the Lions or the Vikings, if/when they do meet.
Not true. We lost once to the Bears, twice to the Lions and once against the Vikings. We were good outside our division. But within it, we looked like pretenders.

I think the majority of the league would lose twice to the Lions and at least once to the Vikings if that was their schedule too. But yeah, the week 18 loss to the Bears was freakish.

Twice to the Vikings and a missed FG at the death from being swept by the Besrs if I remember right.

Packers form in the division has been really strange.

Obviously a bit of bias in the 2nd part of this sentence but I think the Ravens and lamar either get bounced in round 1 by the steelers or win it all.

If he plays well, plays calm and gets a big win against Pitt and can then bring his regular season play into the bills and kansas I don't think he'll be stopped.

But he could equally shit the bed against pitt

London games are taking the piss again this year. Home teams are Jags, Jets (why two years in a row) and Browns.

A combined record of 12-39.

I don't think the Jags can be playing 2 games in London this time round, they don't have a road game scheduled against either of the other two teams.

Jets are scheduled to play at Jacksonville so maybe they play their home game and follow on to the Jags game and it's them with 2 games this time.

I swear every NFL TV programme is just clickbait shite. The AFC playoff prediction..fair enough, it's very feasible that it works out that way. But then you have this dude predicting that the Packers (who are 1-5 in their division) get to the Super Bowl via Philadelphia, Detroit & Tampa. Come on now.

Watson tore his achilles again and could miss the entire 2025 season.

Karma really hitting this one big time.

Hopefully not, I don’t see the point in any other teams having two games. I could understand the logic with the Jags.

Will wait and see the other teams but I can’t see myself shelling out loads of money and time to watch those teams.

I’ve had a season ticket for London games since 2014 (I think), but seeing this slate genuinely makes me want to not bother this time. 3 teams I genuinely don’t care to see. And even if they put them up against good teams, the games will be a dud.

I stomached it this year since the Patriots at least came over (ultra shit team but at least a shit team I support ) but £350 for three shit games makes me wonder.

A stroke of bad luck for a professional who’d give it his all to have his team sitting atop the table, and you want to rub it in without remorse?

Something that may have been said when it occurred but Derrick Henry smashed the record for most rushing yards in a season by a player in his 30s. The old mark, 1697, was by Curtis Martin in 2004, but Henry had 1921 this year and broke the mark in Game 16. One or two more long runs and he could have reached 2000 rushing yards at age 30 (turned 31 a few days ago), and would have been the first to achieve the feat twice, at an age most RBs are usually damaged goods and washed up.

And the playoffs are here. Hopefully we get some brilliant games

I think Stroud might elevate his game tonight, but the Chargers have more talent on both sides of the ball imo.

Steelers on a bad run and the Ravens are obliterating good teams lately, and their defense has stepped up as well.

Chargers 31 - 27 Texans
Ravens 24 - 17 Steelers

Went with the obvious ones. Last 2 NFC games are the closest on paper. Washington Buccs is a toss up and I give a slight edge to the Vikings who are going to fill up the stadium in Arizona.

Texans D line is getting dominated in this opening drive. Massive gaps for the RBs to exploit and they aren't getting close to Herbert after he's had the ball for 3+ seconds.

I thought the fumble was harsh. Not that I’m bothered. Very neutral in this but leaning very slightly towards the Chargers.

I think it was the right decision. Although I think most 'fumbles' that are called incomplete passes are bullshit. I just don't like the rule.
