NFL 2024 | 5 days to go

I liked the skill games in previous years. If you take them for the fun they’re meant to be rather than anything serious.

Haven’t watched any this year though.

Nico Harrison would give up Lamar and Henry for him - defense wins championships.

This is a difficult one because browns would probably want an early first but with him making it clear he wants to play for a contender so it's unlikely to be a top pick. Niners might be a good bet

I just hope Garrett makes it out of this dumpster fire and makes the playoffs a few times. Joe Thomas should be a warning for all great players.

The Browns fans online do not want extra draft picks because their FO is such a shambles. Since 2019 they have drafted 1 pro bowler and that's DB Owusu-Koramoah, who isn't exactly a star.

Caught a clip of Bill Burr on Rich Eisen’s podcast talking about the reasons why the Chiefs get such blatant help from the officials.

Was quite funny, but also you have to say a bit rich from a Pats fan

Save for a couple of draft clangers early on in their tenure, Licht & him have steered the Bucs pretty well.
They certainly have, but given how this HC drama played out and denying further interviews etc, i thought this was funny by Jags to even go back one more time.

Any neutrals excited for this yet? I can't get myself going at all. Already on to draft content.

It's still the Super Bowl and the one two years ago was at least high-scoring and exciting from a game script perspective. Last football we're gonna get until the beginnig of September so yeah, still excited for it.

Upcoming draft class looks extremely meh for fantasy purposes. I've seen mocks with barely a WR in the first round apart from Tet. Let's hope the combine will boost the stock of some players. RBs looking solid but also nothing spectacularly special apart from Jeanty.

RB class looks pretty deep, outside of Tet and Hunter it's meh at WR. QB's meh. TE's looks decent.

Yeah I always book the next day off - will enjoy the spectacle just not arsed about the 2 teams

Maybe it's because I've 'been out of the game' too long but I don't have any particular hatred for the Eagles. Heard people say the fans are the worst though?

The Chiefs remind me of Liverpool.

I’m already knee deep in 2nd round tight ends. Can’t put my finger on why that sounds odd…

Imagine the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philly but they’re actually real and far less comical.

ESPN mentioned Washington have a ton of cap space so that could be an odds-on favorite for Garrett to end up, assuming Washington are willing to make a trade and do what will be necessary - an extension.

The Chiefs are hardly like Liverpool.

The Chiefs won 1 Super Bowl in 54 years before Mahomes came along. Liverpool won 5 European Cups and 18 first division titles before Klopp. And let's not pretend Liverpool have been dominating football these last few years. For as good as they've been, they have 1 Champions League and 1 Premier League to show for it.

The only thing the Chiefs have in common with Liverpool is that everyone else hates them. But the Chiefs hate has stemmed from their recent success whereas the Liverpool hatred has always been there.

Comparing the Chiefs to Man City would be more apt. If tomorrow the Chiefs/City became shit again, other fans would soon forget about them and start hating someone else.

They find a way to win even when playing shite, often with the help of refereeing, but still deserve begrudging respect.

It's funny that I mentally associate the Dallas Cowboys with Man Utd, but I love United and despise the Cowboys

United and Cowboys fans are probably very much alike in a lot of instances, which is funny because Cowboys fans are often ridiculed on here.

Historically great, lots of non-local gloryhunters, have been shit for at least the last decade or even more.
