NFL 2023

Hmm... not sure about that call. They should explain why.

The defender's arm is in bounds. The other foot is down and the defender has a hold of, should it not be considered down by contact with the foot landing on the arm in bounds? If that arm is not there the receiver catches in bounds in all likelihood.

Elliot's gonna miss this one, right? Eagles doing anything possible to throw this game.

Edit: Get in!

Bieniemy really should have gone for 2. The defense was gassed at that point.

I love the NFL! Every week has games like this. Never over until it’s over.
Agreed, and a shit team this year has a good chance if they recruit right to be a playoff team and more within a few seasons

We will be sporting these kits in two weekends against a very appropriate foe, the Detroit Lions...

Should be 5-0 for beating the refs too.

Intentional grounding for a miscommunication? Bonkers.
There wasn't a receiver within 20 yards of the throw. Thought it was pretty clear cut grounding call.

Mac Jones is such a turd sandwich..

It’s glorious.

Yea it’s rare tbf, but it happens.
Yeah, that's kind of what I meant, what Duafc said, what's the most screens of red zone plays & not just the games starting off. They said 5 which seems like a bunch.

Exactly. Things can change in an instant whether it’s just a game or an entire season. Love it.

Belicunt should have declined the first false start to see if Dallas would still try a 66-yard FG attempt with a guy who's long is 55 yards. It was almost guaranteed to be short which gives them a return chance.

Ambry Thomas is a proper weak link for the niners. Hope they spend some of the cap space and draft capital on a proper corner.

Brown was in motion when the ball was released, and then stopped his route. Clear miscommunication. That happens at least once nearly every game, don't think I've ever seen it called, especially for a pass that landed inbounds and clearly in line with the receiver's route, had he not stopped running. Dumb choice of play given the circumstances though.

I didn't know the exact definition of it so I looked it up.

"INTENTIONAL GROUNDING

It is a foul for intentional grounding if a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage because of pressure from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion. A realistic chance of completion is defined as a pass that is thrown in the direction of and lands in the vicinity of an originally eligible receiver."

Looks like it was called right then. It has to be both in the direction of and in the vicinity of the receiver.

He was in the pocket, was about to be sacked, and heaved it deep to avoid the sack. It was text book intentional grounding. Now, maybe had a receiver ran a deeper route it may not have been called even though it would have remained the same act.
