NFL 2023

I think you have been super unlucky in close games this season. All the underlying stats are great!
Yeah true, the Eagles loss with that 60 Yard (?) FG in the last second was brutal. To think the likes of the Steelers or Colts might be in the playoffs over this team is a bit sickening.

That was a nice little preview to a road playoff game for Dallas. Same every year.

Trevor Lawrence dropping the ball was extraordinary. Not even clear what he was trying to do. Perhaps running and holding onto the ball at the same time, is really difficult.

Jaguars missed 2 long field goal attempts, then Lawrence unbelievably incompetent. There was an easy throw that he got horribly wrong earlier.

Would love to face an ineffectual Jaguars team next week.

Win at Ray Jay & will have a four game winning streak going into the Saints matchup at home.

Man, the Jags have really reverted back to expectations. They left at least 13 points out there in the first half. The Colts, Texans and browns all seem to be playing each other which should see them through, but pretty disappointing to see them stumble into the playoffs.

Annoying that the Browns won, would much rather see the Texans or Bills (and even the Broncos) in over them as they won't do shit anyways in the playoffs. At least the Bills are a quality team when not making dumb mistakes and the Texans could surprise some people if Stroud overachieves.

Still stunned by that cowboys performance last night. Hard to see how anyone will beat the Niners in the NFC

How exciting is that Ravens v Niners game looking next week by the way. Gonna be a glorious way to wake up on Boxing Day.

Hope we’re at full strength, this could be the SB dress rehearsal. NFL maths suggest there is daylight between the teams since the Jags beat themselves vs the Ravens and the Niners battered the Jags. But it never works like that and the Niners have traditionally struggled vs mobile QBs: This bend not break approach on defence is going to be tested to the limits against the Ravens, going to be a hair-raising watch. Looking forward to it immensely, even if I’ll be watching through my fingers.

How fast was Ward for that pick 6, high stepping his way through looking like a lanky Tyreek Hill

Agree - just hope we go into it healthier than we did against the Cards. Our run defense was pretty pathetic – so we will need to fix that ahead of the Ravens. Hopefully our interor D Line is back, and I don't think Warner typically has a run of games as bad as yesterday!

Fred wasn’t himself and there was a snap when Bosa chased Murray and looked like he was moving backwards. Hopefully we’ve just had a tough run and this week off helps them get healthy and back in form.

To be fair the Cards have been reasonable in both games we’ve played them though, despite the scorelines. I’d say they had looked better than the Seahawks all things considered.

The previous two games definitely took a toll physically and mentally. This had all the potential to be a trap game - so we did well to avoid that.

I agree with an earlier post - if we can click on both sides of the ball and stay relatively injury-free, then I don’t think many teams can hang with us.

Arthur Smith really gave Tyler Allgeier 15 touches while his first-round offensive weapons Pitts, London and Bijan COMBINED for 13 touches. Absolutely criminal usage that.

That's not awful enough in itself, they also lost 9-7(!!!) in the process to the friggin' worst team in the NFL. How he is still in his job (and likely will be retained as well) is truly beyond me.

Really is a little mystifying.

Long may it continue.

They are currently drafting 10th. They're going nowhere so should be looking to lose out, get into the top 6-ish and make a move for Maye (unlikely) or Daniels.

That’s mental.

Falcons screwed up on that late play when the defense should have been instructed to let them score if they break through the trench inside the red zone. The Panthers RB was going in the end zone at that speed and momentum, no way he's stopping short at that pace and he sure looked like he was running for the goal line. Heck, just tackle him into the end zone if necessary. That would have left like 1:45 on the clock to move down for a late TD to win/tie, granted the Falcons offense probably falls short but you want your offense to have a chance versus the opponent taking kneels inside the 5 for a chip shot FG as time expires, as it did.

Heard Dallas had 10-12 players with the flu which may explain how flat they looked at times. But they've sucked against the run for years so probably doesn't matter who is playing fit or not, Hankins or no Hankins.

Did anyone see the Amari Cooper TD reception? It was so weird seeing the play occur live. It was such a Bears thing to happen to have a guy split three defenders for a score.

How do you line up on 4th down to try and draw them offsides and then not snap the ball when one of them actually jumps?

Of course they hold there to stop the clock and make us punt instead of just ending the half. Idiots.

Didn't matter fortunately.
