NFL 2023

Not many teams out there don't take "poor character" players. Chiefs just took Omenihu, who has legal issues for domestic violence hanging over him, they also had Hill and were/are interested in Tunsil. The NFL is littered with people who if they played sport in this country would be hounded out of their careers. It's an interesting topic.
If their wiki looks like this then you can be sure the Chiefs will try and sign them when they come onto the market.

Will replace Thornhill. Not too expensive either.

Saw that. Underrated player, but quite solid. Not a bad a S loss for us as Whitehead was a year ago, but we will feel his absence in the secondary, no doubt.

Pretty sure he will have a greater impact for y’all than RoJo.

Dallas have done well in FA without doing anything massive.

Cooks and Gilmore are really solid additions. Not to mention we've kept the band together on Defence.

Means we have no desperate needs going into the draft, so I'm hoping we can go for talent on the O line. Or maybe even Bijan Robinson...

They also signed Miles Sanders but that's still a garbage offense imo, Thielen is washed apart from still being a redzone threat probably.

CJ Gardner-Johnson to the Lions on a one-year, $8m deal - great signing by Detroit. Their defense should be much improved, especially if draft an elite D-line talent at #6.

Forgot about Sanders. Yep, the offense is still lagging significantly behind their defense, but they have improved it from last year. Just having an offense-oriented HC will improve them from last year's HC (who did rather well but was defense-oriented).

Devin Singletary and Dalton Schultz to the Texans.

Schultz one a 1-year, $9m deal. I believe he refused a 3-year, $36m one at Dallas earlier. Harsh reality for him now, and he wasn't even that bad at Dallas either.

Looks like we are in for DeAndre Hopkins and so are our players:

Hopefully it happens but all the noise is that he's going to the Patriots.

Didn't he have a bad leg/ankle injury as well a year or two back? Yep, 2021.

He had an injury but his issue seems to be a normal decline. For the Vikings he would have ideally been WR3 because he is still good in the endzone but the Panthers shouldn't expect to get the great player that he used to be.

You're right though, it's normal decline and the injury sped up the decline. He's in the end of his career and can be a leader again at a different team. Panthers don't have a QB even close to Cousins, so their expectations should be heavily tempered when it comes to a new WR. Great add from a team perspective and developing locker room culture under Reich.

My only issue for the Panthers is that at this point he isn't a WR1 but refuses to accept that idea. Beyond the fact that his contract made cutting him obvious for the Vikings, he was also complaining about his role and the fact that the offense was heavily built around JJ and later JJ+Hockenson. That's a particular issue when you consider the fact that he had 107 targets which is way more than he deserved.

So I hope that Reich either finds a way to give him easy targets or that Thielen accepts his decline.

Oh wow, didn't realize he had that much volume. His receiving yards per target is also declining, which is evident the fact his longest reception was about 35 yards.

What was the offensive season like for Minnesota under Kevin O'Connell?

I know all about JJ, Cousins, and Hockenson and Cook. Those 3 player makers are really good with JJ being All Pro.

The season was pretty good especially when you consider that it was KOC's first season as a play caller. The passing offense was easily in the top 5, it was second in total yards with little garbage time yards due to the defense being historically bad. The rushing offense was bottom third of the league due to a combination of play calling(low amount of attempts), below average run blocking and Cook declining.

With JJ, Hockenson, a WR2, KJ Osborne as WR3 and Oliver as TE2 the passing offense should be close to unplayable.

Edit: There are talks about Mecole Hardman being in talks with the Vikings.

Hardman just went to the Jets, apparently.

Elijah Moore to the Browns. I thought after the Hardman deal he was a cert for the Pack as part of the deal for AAron.

Makes sense to get a 2nd for him if the Packers weren’t particularly interested, I guess. Now they’ve got some additional picks for the Rodgers trade.

Mecole Hardman is not a big loss for KC. A poor route runner with butter fingers. His main asset is his electric speed but he's been injured with a pelvis injury since the start of November and has just had surgery. Probably will still have that speed which separates him from other WRs but you never know.

Think I'd rather hang out with Corden rather than them 2.

Edit: Solid arse in the background though.
