I don't get this dropping back in numbers for a hail mary, surely it's better to play it like a regular down and get after Lamar? Now you're basically hanging your chances on a jump ball WR vs CB/S since you're not getting to him with the pass rush anyway.

Yeah I know, but a jump-ball is a jump-ball. Mark Andrews is 6'5, Holland and Howard are 6'1. Seems like an unnecessary risk to me, if you get after the QB (not named Lamar perhaps) he doesn't even have the time to give his receivers the chance to hit the endzone.
Sitting back is probably the right play though since everyone seems to do it.
