NFL 2022

It's always a good season if the Cowboys don't make it to the championship game

3 out of the 4 remaining are the same as last year, only the Eagles replacing the Rams. These truly are the powerhouses of the NFL at the moment, nice to see such cracking games for Championship Sunday.

Gonna be pretty torn on a lot of SB matchups.

If the Chiefs get through, I'll simply root for the NFC team no matter what. But if it's Bengals vs Niners, I don't want heartbreak for Burrow two years in a row but I also want Kittle to win a SB  And Hurts deserves it as well after the year he's had and the critics he's had to deal with. I do seriously dislike Sirianni though so there's that.

Maybe Bengals over Eagles is the best way forward.

How come? I find him one of the more likeable HC's. Something about him reminds me of Screech from the later seasons of Saved by the Bell, when they were all grown up. There's something a little dorky about him.

Kelce Bowl is still my preferred SB matchup. If Jason Kelce wins, I think he definitely retires, perhaps along with a couple of other Eagles.

He’s a maniac that yells at opposing fans. Perfect coach for Philly, obviously.

Which just makes me respect Shanahan more because he's done it with an average QB and a rookie. Picked them to to win the NFC at the start of the season but I thought it would be with either Lance or Jimmy G. I'm amazed that he's managed to make Hay with a Seventh round 3rd stringer. Also a testament to how stacked their team is in virtually every other category as well of course.

I must admit despite following the NFL for a while now, I never realised that moving backwards whilst going out of bounds did not stop the clock under 2 minutes. I’d always assumed it was just a stopped clock whenever it went OOB. Yet this year it’s come up a few times. Is that an emphasis area or something that’s actually new?

In order of preference of title (least preferred to most):
Chiefs
Eagles
49ers
Bengals

Don’t really dislike any of these teams. Chiefs go last because I just want someone new. 49ers over eagles because it’d be fun to see a rookie Mr Irrelevant win a SB. Bengals top because, well, Joe Cool.

Do you think the Chiefs can rebuild to remain competitive at the weekend ?

I didn't know this either.
Does this happen for any other scenarios?
There was a moment in the Jags Chiefs game I think where I thought the clock should have stopped but didn't.

The clock will stop if a player goes out of bounds making forward progress if it is in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd quarter or the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. I thought previously it was throughout the game but it only happens during these 7 minutes. The clock is stopped briefly when it goes out of bounds in the other 53 minutes until the ball is set down on the field by the referees and then the clock starts ticking like usual.

Pretty sure it’s 4 minutes not 5 but yes it’s definitely not the whole game!

Yeah can find myself in that list, same for me. Bengals cos Joey B, Niners because of Kittle and Ealges because of Hurts. Don't particularly like anyone on the Chiefs and they've won it too recently.

There were some rumours though that Jimmy G might be fit for next Sunday, and definitely will be for the SB.

I don't know they'll stick with Purdy in that case. He's undefeated and has been mistake-free for the most part but the underlying stats aren't all that great, quite a few turnover-worthy plays if I'm not mistaken.

Hoping for a niners vs bengals final with the niners bring it home.

Prepared for a chiefs vs Philly final and a lot of meh. Would be team Philly for that. Just don’t like the chiefs.

Weird thing to post on their official twitter

I had a quick scroll of the thread a while ago and saw this assuming it was from a journalist or some sports website. Didn't even think to look that it could be the team's official account.

That's nuts.

And there’s a handful more. Either someone okayed it or someone said ‘feck it.’ Either way, it’s amazing they’re still up as of a couple of hours ago.

I like to think that nothing big happens in Dallas without Jerry Jones saying so. He was probably ordering somebody to throw Dak under the bus as soon as the second pick was in the air.
