Dafuq?
And those owned by the Glazers don't?feck the Jags. Any franchise idiotic enough to hire Meyer deserves eternal failure.
Speaking of which...Lawrence has been red hot the last month or so.
Niners had Brady sign the ball they intercepted Crazy how these guys are fawning over him postgame.
Wow, didn’t even realize the game was even on. Was he injured on their opening drive? That did not look good for Kyler Murray. Almost certainly his season done.
Yep, something like the second or third play and his leg just popped while running, no contact. Probably his ACLWow, didn’t even realize the game was even on. Was he injured on their opening drive?
Yep. Absolutely looks like he popped his ACL.Yep, something like the second or third play and his leg just popped while running, no contact. Probably his ACL
Hope it's one of those "looks worse than it is" kind of situations.
Brutal game and there's still 10 minutes left in the second quarter.
It's real grass. Is it on real grass or field turf?
Just realized that we play Arizona in a couple of weeks. That’s a shame we won’t probably play v. Kyler, I would have liked to have seen how we would fare against that type of QB.It's real grass.
Seahawks have lost twice against Colt McCoy in the last 2 years - once with the Giants, once with the Cardinals. I know your upcoming painJust realized that we play Arizona in a couple of weeks. But now, McCoy will probably have a 158.50 rating against us.
Hurts 10th right now which obviously isn’t going down well with Eagles fans
Hurts still below all 4 of those for me. 5th seems about right.Mahomes
Hurts
Allen, Burrow
Herbert
Is what I'd have it right now.
I agree if you're talking arm talent or perhaps ability to thrive in this league for more than a decade. But this season, even though his steam is stacked, he's been playing lights out imo.Hurts still below all 4 of those for me. 5th seems about right.

He’s been incredible 100%, you can’t not be and be considered the 5th best in the league in any given year. But I still think those others are a little ahead. Having said that, I would probably only say Mahomes is his main contender as it stands for MVP.I agree if you're talking arm talent or perhaps ability to thrive in this league for more than a decade. I agree with this but I guess with the team & schedule he can be considered 5-7 range
Yeah don't think we disagree too much on Hurts then in any case. He’s been incredible 100%, you can’t not be and be considered the 5th best in the league in any given year. I would be happy for Hurts to win it too. For the reason you set out here but also, for me, this league continues to write young QBs off so early. People were increasingly negative about Lawrence but he’s stepping up now. Hurts perhaps not so badly written off but so many Qs putting pressure on him early. Allen is another example of someone who people thought was a bust. Tua. Everyone said Lamar couldn’t throw. The list is long.Yeah don't think we disagree too much on Hurts then in any case.
Think it's indeed between those two depending on how the last four games play out. Burrow would've also been right up there if they hadn't started the season 0-2 and then to 4-4 imo. Herbert has had to deal with a lot of injuries as well.
I hope Hurts win it just because I think everything is coming together for him this season, while it's way more likely that Mahomes will collect another MVP in the next few years. If you'd remove both of them from their team and would install someone like Geno Smith in their stead, I'm not sure who would be better, the Chiefs or the Eagles. It's a close call.
Exactly. Desmond Ridder is already written off by a lot of people before even playing a full game in the league. Third round draft pick, out of Cincinnati, no arm talent, this and that, ...I would be happy for Hurts to win it too. And yes the list is also long for those got time and remained shit. But I wonder how much of that is because of the expectation that they’re put under. Not everyone is like Mahomes who can ball out from day 1 (although don’t forget he did have a year sitting). A Hurts win is a reminder that teams should perhaps focus on a more development focussed journey for young QBs, with a view to be ready by Y3, rather than heap them as saviours from day 1.
Yup. And Mac, just look at him last year. He threw with so much confidence and anticipation that you don’t just lose that suddenly. Some will inevitably bust but those decisions are made too hastily. It’s so easy to forget just how much goes into a QBs success. O-line quality, skill position quality, scheme, confidence, relationships and synergy with coaches, even defence… sometimes a year might be enough because of what you see day in day out in training and meetings and game time, but more often then not it’s simply not enough time to make a judgement in my book. Not everyone is a superstar QB like Rodgers or Mahomes or Brady who can inspire and elevate everyone (although two of these are showing that even they can succumb to other factors and the other is blessed with a HOF offensive mind). But QBs simply don’t need to be. Find their strengths, give them a platform to learn, build the scheme and players around them, and you could very well get a SB winning recipe. What the Jets did with Wilson is a prime example of how not to handle a rookie QB.Exactly. Desmond Ridder is already written off by a lot of people before even playing a full game in the league. Third round draft pick, out of Cincinnati, no arm talent, this and that, ...
I think Lamar has been the absolute perfect example that you just need to build around your QBs strengths and a lot is possible if you scheme well for exactly that. Hurts is the same.
It is of course true that the odds are stacked against you if you're not a first round QB with a good college degree. And the examples are plentiful. But to write off guys like Lawrence, Fields, (Pickett), ... is pretty crazy to me especially when it's clear that they have traits that can make a team win. Mac Jones, Zach Wilson, ... I get the doubts, but even guys like them might still be able to put it together.
Idiotic. I’m a little annoyed we didn’t go for it on 4th and 2. Trust the defence ffs.How fecking stupid do you have to be, it's 4th and 7 with 10 seconds left in the quarter and you jump offsides.
Yeah, that baffled me, especially given Purdy hadn't missed a pass at that point and our run D is atrocious. At least expected you to line up as if you were going for it, see if you can get Darrell Taylor to be an idiot again.Idiotic. I’m a little annoyed we didn’t go for it on 4th and 2.
