Sean Taylor, who died far too young after his house was broken into, is having his number is retired this weekend. But they announced it with just 3 days notice, whereas for another player they announced it months in advance.

The organization that botched this honor in the hopes of a PR distraction stunt was of course WFT.

Seems a bit ad hoc to try to deflect some.

Taylor was a beast, though.

A total feck up by them, which isn't surprising. Just because a former NFL player, who is black and is now Team President, isn't going to fix their cultural issue or poor decision making that reflects poorly on the organization.

Pushing this forward to try to bury the WFT email leaks and investigation comes from one man, the root of all shithousery of the WFT organization....Daniel Snyder. But the NFL are incahoots in this too because NFL owners and the brotherhood is one of the most protected entities in sports, if not the world.

I will die laughing if Wilson actually does convert to being a left-handed QB while his finger heals.

Pretty shaky from the Bucs tonight. They looked like Super Bowl winners for much of the first half then completely went missing for much of the 2nd. Arians is lucky the Eagles didn't come back after his failed 4th down attempt halfway through the 4th.

They got too run happy 2nd half, that 4th down call was dubious to say the least.

Chargers @ Ravens in the early window on Sunday  Late window is all about Cards @ Browns for me, think that'll be the last undefeated team gone. They already looked kinda flat against the Niners last week.

Also, Jalen Hurts is the ultimate "don't watch his performance but just check the box score afterwards" fantasy player, sheesh. Didn't look good out there imo. Also don't know what changed for the Bucs in the second half (maybe too run happy indeed) because they completely crushed the Philly D in the first half with those quick passes over the middle.

Looks like you can run on the Bucs when you have the threat of a mobile QB by the way, that's interesting and I'm sure something that offensive coordinators will be picking up on. Eagles had literally ONE carry in the first half by a RB though, that's just criminal. Sanders had some pretty nice holes for himself when they tried to establish the run.

You may be able to run on them with a running QB but I think it’s more to do with David being out and maybe helping the banged up secondary more flooding zones with LB’s. Even Sherman is out now

Yeah their depth at secondary is atrocious at the moment. Luckily their offense keeps winning them games, I think they're better off allowing the likes of Davis, Murphy-Bunting and Winfield just to heal up completely, they'll likely walk the division and they showed last year they don't particularly need a bye either to win it all.

The new focus on taunting is just a joke. I’m happy with them clamping down on obviously disrespectful taunts e.g spiking a ball aimed right at the feet of the opposition, or blatantly rubbing their success in the face of the opposition (it bores the game but I can at least understand why they don’t want that on the field). But what they are doing now is just silly beyond belief.

Agreed. Fournette was generally effective, but a team whose strength is the passing game starts running more generally results in the opposition playing better.

I have been looking forward to this one. I am a little surprised Cleveland is -3.5; Chubb, Hunt, Wills, and Conklin were all listed as DNP in the injury report (I even picked up Felton as a sneaky RB play). Zona has their own injury concerns as well I suppose.

I still agree on the result, mind. The Browns need this one more and the crowd will feel that.

They couldn't... could they?

Honestly, the more I see it mentioned, the more I need it to happen. It makes no sense and it would probably be on a par with Kendall Hinton last year in terms of effectiveness but it would be very funny, so yeah, do it you cowards.

Also looking forward to Cardinals Browns. Match up of the two teams who everyone rated highly but always had that question mark of “can they really achieve up to the hype”. They clearly are, but it’ll be a fascinating contest.

We're hurting back there. No doubt we are scouring the waiver wire for bodies.

Losing David really showed in the second half. We were able to get away with it a bit early in the game, but his absence was felt on some of those longer runs by the Eagles.

My fav Eagles player ever and so sad to see him go. Fact that he scored a TD less than 24 hours before being traded sums up the Eagles

Well, that's the Maxx Williams injury covered for and then some.

Is there any way Pittsburgh screws this up? I was thinking of putting my confidence in them, but the odds despite Seattle’s injury issues doesn’t fill me with, well…confidence.

I've heard Steelers fans complaining that even when they were superbowl contenders, they'd always play down to the level of bad teams. Plus the big issue with this Seahawks team is the terrible defense giving up long drive after long drive and the Steelers offense has looked terrible this season and Geno looked better than expected against the Rams (albeit against a very conservative 4th quarter defense), yeah I think there is a small chance the Steelers screw it up.
