Just catching up on the highlights from the night games. This was hilarious from the Browns/Chargers game.

Bills are looking very impressive.

Something isn’t right with KC, but I still think they’ll get it together when it matters.

I trace it back to Brit Reid putting that little girl in a coma via his drunk driving (what’s the deal with Andy Reid and his sons, by the way?)

I think the whole business affected the team and the coaches more than they let on. I think the girl woke up but still can’t speak or walk.

Shortly after that they got boat raced in the Super Bowl and they haven’t really been the same team since. Will be interesting to see if they can work their way back to some semblance of what they were. They have a very tough schedule this year though.

The feck was that  ? That's some of the worst effort I have seen on defense.

Ekeler wasn't trying to score. He was trying to stop before the end zone and run down the clock. Browns weren't having it. They needed the ball back asap so they dragged him into the endzone

The roles were reversed. The offense was trying to not score, while the Defense needed him to score so their offense could get the ball back with sufficient time left on the clock.

That makes more sense. Clock management is simultaneously one of the most intriguing and stupid aspects of American Football.

Chargers offense has been so impressive, they can hang with anyone in the league. Crazy to think that 5 weeks into the season there are two AFC teams looking a lot better than the Chiefs.

Loved how the Saints got Kamara back involved in the passing game as well with 8 targets. He is so friggin good.

Dayum…It won’t end up like this for sure, as it’ll be more like #6 at best, but still so far so good for Philly on that deal.

Don’t know if this was posted before but thought it was an interesting question.

I’d go:

Allen
Lamar
Dak
Herbert
Kyler

This list would probably change based even on what happens this year, but right now that‘s the order I’d have.

I’d still take Mahomes over all these guys though

How is a team like the Chiefs so bad? They are now officially the worst defensive team in the NFL, have conceded more points than the likes of the Jets, Lions and Jaguars. Crazy.

Severe Super Bowl hangover.

A lot of hype over Herbert and he has looked really good since he came into the league. But no way I’m picking someone first with 10 wins in his NFL career and no playoff resume whatsoever. If he balls in the postseason this year, I’d move him up.

The playoffs are totally different from the regular season in terms of pressure and expectation. Not saying that any of these guys have been lights out in the playoffs but at least I’ve had a chance to see how some of them deal with those games.

You’re not going to like my edit before you first replied then

Playoff resume is not a valid deal breaker given the lack of evidence. If the question is the next ten years with these guys, there is a very clear 1-4 here in whichever order you prefer. Also, 1 and 2 I think the majority would agree with (though maybe swapped in order), and this is coming from a Kyler homer.

How is Lamar definitely 5 though, even if you think there isn’t enough postseason evidence for any of them? That makes no sense. He’s the only one to have an MVP season (unanimous at that) and he wins a lot of games.

It makes sense if you study how they throw. Capturing lightning in a bottle with great results that are just temporary has recent precedence.

You don’t know that it’s temporary. That’s just speculation. We keep hearing that he’s going to be figured out and the Ravens keep winning.

I for one am shock, shocked!, that Gruden said these things.

He said what a lot of NFL owners, coaches and players thought or would have said. Unfortunately, that's just part of the culture of their industry. Doesn’t make it right.

The Washington Football Team strikes again...amazing how Dan Snyder gets away with so much shit. That's right, he's an NFL owner!

Uh, what?

The only seasons he’s had under 1000 yards receiving were when he broke his ankle and when he blew out his knee.

3 seasons to begin his career...and that's it. One 100 reception season. Rookie of the Year, then his two seasons after that. He's benefited from playing well early in his career in New York.

Compared to a player like Davante Adams who was drafted the same year, much lower in the draft. Doesn't get nearly the attention OBJ has or did.
