I would imagine so if being tackled. Looks like the ball was coming out before the head touched the ground but very close.
Commentator suggested it counts as 2 feet so would be down.

To be fair every time I think I understand the rules I get thrown by some random oddity, and I usually assume the commentators know their shit, but I think I was just misunderstanding him tbf.
About the MVP or the shite kicker? I guess the NFL likes their traditions too much to change the awarding of the MVP. Plus it's not really all that important anyway and just an interesting side note/talking point.
