Its just not the same, sorry. Brady statistically has been excellent. Manning, statistically, was awful in that season. And in that super bowl. Whilst Brady may have had great stats because of a great supporting cast, that’s very different to having bad stats being covered by a great supporting cast. But I really don’t want to get into a Brady / Manning debate because we will never agree.It’s kinda the same as I was saying about Brady at the Bucs, as much as maintain they were only a solid QB away and his play didn’t “turn them around” per se, him being in the room lifts everyone around him.
Look at the lift the crowd and the team got when Manning returned from injury to replace Osweiler.
Anyway the only point I’ve been making throughout all this is that trying to say he’s “only really got one ring” is stupid.
To your point about Manning lifting the whole team just because of his presence - that I absolutely agree with and isn’t a factor which should be ignored. What I would say though, is if we saw those stat lines for any other SB winning QBs, you would quite happily say they had nothing to do with winning.
