Might be wrong but I don’t think he was purposely leaving out English players. Also didn’t mention Scottish players. Think he was just giving examples of British players.
No he mentioned English players like Offiah etc who would make it then apparently irish and welsh players are too dumb to go there

 I don’t know man. I didn’t read it that way.

I remember Darren Bennett being that one punter not afraid to hit opposition players. He played Aussie Rules if memory serves.

I think Tebow would have been a much better rugby player than gridiron pro.

That part is wrong. A large part of what happens on a rugby field is scripted, the phases are set by the coaches and rehearsed on the training pitch, the main difference is that Rugby is a live game, so the instructions and sets are situational and the players have to use their brains and special awareness in order to realize which scripted play they are supposed to use, they also have to think about defense and offense. In the NFL, the clock is stopped and the coordinator tells you what to do, the one complicated thing is that they have more plays but even then it doesn't really apply to running backs, it's only really relevant for offensive linemen and quaterbacks who need to know everyone's playbook.

It is NOW, I meant when Lomu played (and especially the way Lomu played), it wasn't that complicated playing wing (my position when I played) - run forwards and choose between hugging the touchline or cutting in... or in Lomu's case, just run over the fecker. Lomu was a freak (in a good way) but a lot different to now with well planned back moves... the biggest decision scrum halves like Bachop or Joost had was left or right, short pass to a forward or long to the backs.
The thing I thought was weird when I read about it on google was that they had Lomu down as a RB or OLB. I thought being a line backer requires much more game sense. I’d love to see some of the big wingers or centres just put it in at running back for a laugh. Even if it required the QB to tell him what he’s doing before each play.
In Lomu's case "Jonah, smash!"

Why would Irish/welsh players have a tougher time living in US ?

Why would they lack mental strength compared to English players ?
Wasn't a comparison (I didn't say "but English players would have been fine" ?) but can see how it could be read as such.

I mentioned Itoje as he sprung to mind as someone I could see with a chance of adapting (though rugby to NFL is unlikely for anyone really?). Thought of Offiah as typing just given his speed and ability to adjust runs on the fly... coincidence both English (I'm not).

(Edit. Just seen other posts. Offiah is a separate sentence... Just added as typing and nothing to do with rest of points)

Now let's trade AJ Green to the Packers or something. Otherwise the Tee Higgins pick didn't make any sense.

Yeah i read they do not have much to work with i imagine thats why they cannot go near Cam Newton .

I really can't see them doing anything this year. I wonder what price the Bucs to have a better season
That's not why. BB just not interested. Cap room could be made. There are players who could be extended/cut to make room.

Fifth overall pick in 2017, still think he might come good if he finds a good landing spot.

Taco Charlton released by Dolphins . Was a first round pick by Dallas a couple of years ago but very laid back

The Vikings should maybe give him a chance, André Patterson is a miracle worker.

Yikes

Seriously, this is fecking grim.

Just seen the Project 11 episode on ESPN. That was fecking disgusting. When they showed what his leg looked like after they scraped all the bacteria off his muscles and tissues

I've got a whole new level of respect for him. Seems like a genuinely nice guy too. What's crazy to me was how fast the human mind can switch perspective/outlook. At one point, he would have been satisfied with just keeping his leg and having a normal sedentary life. I know he's a professional athlete, but having a super hot wife, kids and shitload of dough, most of us would be satisfied to retire. For him to keep trying to make a comeback seems kinda nuts.

Solid pickup for Dallas, particularly if the Dak situation doesn’t get resolved.

Thought he might end up at NE, but looks like Bill is all in on Stidham.

Still think Jacoby Brissett might be at play here. If Belichick really is all in on Stidham this season, lightning can't strike twice, can it?
Based on what I’ve heard, I’m glad I held onto Stidham in Dynasty. The thinking is he’s a talented guy that was in a bad situation going against good defenses in the SEC, a la Drew Lock.

If Stidham wins double digit games in NE it’s really going to show who has been the key to the success up there the last few decades.

The problem is that he has a relatively poor supporting cast, unless N'keal Harry makes a big jump this season, Stidham basically only has Edelman and the stable of running backs to rely on as playmakers. As for the defense, teams rarely have two consecutive productive seasons in terms of turnovers, they are going to be a top 10 defense in terms of points and probably yardage because Belichick is at the helm and they have very good players but I assume that they will have a smaller margin for error.

The red BB gun has disappointed me so many times in fantasy football. He really is a poor QB.

Apparently he is good guy to have in the locker room and hopefully we just need him to be better than Cooper Rush

A steady qb2 for sure. A no brainer of a signing really.

I don't think its in any way meant to be "leverage" in the Prescott negotiations but it certainly makes the risk of him sitting for a year much less risky.

I just realized that Yanda retired, that's a massive hole in the Ravens OLine.

That was good news for the rest of the AFC North, as that team was looking scary. They filled a hole at LB with the perfect pick, and added a future RB1 to an already great rushing attack.

No way does that happen. A QB who's thrown 4 passes, 1 of which was a pick 6, throwing to an elderly Edelman and nobody else is a recipe for disaster.

It's crazy that in September they had possibly the most talented offence of all time, then they all just left.

I can't imagine BB doesn't have a trick or two up his sleeve here. A trade for an experienced starter, even if nothing more than a depth builder, would seem essential.

Chicago Bears finally give up on Mitchell Trubitsky .

Perhaps the Patriots might look at giving him a chance
