Where I lived in St. Pete, we could see planes on even less than fair days. B-52s are extremely loud & rather slow, so the noise literally envelopes you for a while being that close.
That just looked great.

I lived in Clearwater from Nov 19 to Jan 20 then moved over to South Tampa for work. I love it down here, so glad Georgia is in my past now.
I grew up in Fort Worth, TX. Carswell AFB was across the lake from our house (couldn't see the base though, other houses, woods, a large bridge, houses, etc.) and they had 52s back then, so the noise is a memory for sure.
