Bring back Brock Osweiler!!

Why’s the game not being postponed?

Remember when the Broncos vs Patriots kept getting pushed back because a few Patriots had covid, but literally every QB on the roster is ruled out and the Broncos have to play anyway.

They moved mountains for the Ravens too. Not postponing the game when the entire QB room is out is fecked. We were favourites anyway, but this almost renders the game a gimmie for us now.

No worries we got a WR on the practice squad we are calling up, the legendary Kendall Hinton.

edit: Nevermind, here we go...

I can sort of get the logic but when all the QBs are out, it’s stupid not to postpone the game for a couple of days. Also, they set a precedent by moving the Pats game when Cam tested positive so it would be nonsense not to delay this one.

The NFL changed roster rules in the early 90s after the 'body bags' game. The following season, all clubs were allowed to have a third QB eligible to enter a game if the top two were injured during the game. It's how the 45+1 came to be. This is ludicrous to allow a game to be played with three QBs out not through attrition but through simultaneous COVID exposure. Would be difficult to sign a couple QBs to learn a system in a day or two. And with no preseason games they didn't have any scrubs in camp that would know the playbook somewhat. Shitty situation.

This game is going to be a must watch, something miraculous is going to happen or its going to be the biggest shitshow we've ever witnessed.

I still can’t believe the game is being made to go ahead.

The RBs are going to break records for number of attempted carries.

Me neither, think it’s crazy. But I do also think the circumstances are important. As I said about the Titans (and not close to the details of this situation so don’t know for sure) if protocol was broken and, if had been kept to, had meant that the QBs could play, then I have less sympathy than if protocol was followed and the situation is just unfortunate - in which case there’s no logical reason to not amend the date.

I think either way they should have seen sense and delayed it though.

Yea from what I’ve read the QB room had simply been declared as high risk close contacts, none of the others have even had a positive test.

The whole thing is just ridiculous.

Rich Eisen seemed to imply just now on gameday morning that the issue was that all the QBs were inside a single room without any masks or any social distancing. Which would be stupid.

I don’t get why people can’t do the absolute basics even after everything that’s happened globally with this pandemic.

Anyway, time for some NFL!

I can’t wait for the Broncos game. Gonna be surreal.
