It's depressingly quiet right? I'm holding out hope we make a few moves in FA for either position too. Whitworth is off to Rams for $36m for 3 years, we can't realistically afford that but hopefully we can get some of the cheaper ones.

What do you reckon for the draft then? I'm hoping for a lot of defence - CBs, safety, linebacker, interior DL, wouldn't mind a big bodied late round WR.. I want it all apparently.

Hoping it means there's something going on. Leary is gone as well. I'm not asking for much, but a bit experience and depth would help massively IMO. Just hoping that the guys around Britt improve isn't enough.

I don't watch college football, so I have no idea, just hoping for depth defensively really. Terrell did well for the most part IMO. McCray needs upgrading. A CB with Shead out would be good and should be a priority. I don't think we need WRs, Richardson and McEvoy did well in my eyes and I really hope we don't let Luke Willson go.

Zeitler to Cleveland. I'm going to cry.

Marshall & OBJ together

I'm not a fan of this.

two drama queens...good luck Eli

Right?

Although Marshall has shown glimmers of maturity recently, he's not the steadying voice on offense we need (Eli is too passive).

Willing to give McAdoo the benefit of the doubt here.

Wow - Osweiler to Browns. 2nd round pick as a sweetner.

Yeah, agree. I'm not holding my breath though

You're right about the WRs really, that would be too much to ask. I'd like us to start refreshing the D, I think we're best with a mean D and that level's been dropping for a bit. Also, we didn't pick up Shead's tender - I don't know what that means though tbh. :)

I'm pretty sure Luke's gone. I watched an interview pre-combine with Pete where he was talking the other TE Vannett up hard. Hauschka is apparently off to Buffalo too. :(

According to Rapoport the Vikes are pushing for Jeffery.

It's an NBA trade....salary dump

It's actually brilliant.

Texans get rid of the scrub and save major $$$. Browns have so much cap space, it's not funny. Browns don't give a damn about Osweiler...it's all about the draft pick - the pick wasn't the sweetner...it was the trade!

Browns with a ton of high draft picks in the next 2 years now

Yeah, I'm subscribed to the Hawks on youtube and saw that as well. Would be a shame, but I suppose that's how it goes. Schneider said in his press conference that they want to be aggressive in free agency, but I'm not expecting much. Fingers crossed there's a surprise.

What wikipedia is saying:

Each player that signs a tender receives a non-guaranteed one-year salary that corresponds to the tender level. Teams which choose not to match an offer on a player with a low tender receive a draft pick corresponding to the round in which the player was originally drafted (except that the highest pick that can be surrendered for such a tender is a second-round pick). For example, a player who was originally drafted in the sixth round of the NFL Draft would force the team signing him to give his former team a sixth-round pick in the upcoming draft as compensation for his service. No compensation is required for an undrafted player on the lowest tender amount, so teams with valued undrafted RFAs are taking a notable risk by offering such tenders. (The top tender prior to 2011 required first- and third-round picks as compensation.)

Hopefully this means we're getting Romo.

Really hoping Hightower returns. So important to our D.

I don't get it
Ryan seemed an excellent fit for NE, already settled and had a very good season
So they pay more/yr for a different CB

did they pay more per year? Gilmore's contract is a 5 year one with 40 mil guaranteed. What are the particulars of Ryan's contract 30m over 3, how much is guaranteed?
