Massive shame re Wentz. That's the Eagles done. I really feel for their fans...

Death, taxes, hottest team's QB gets injured, Patriots win

AB man, he's absolutely insane. I didn't follow the NFL when TO and Moss were around but there was an article on nfl.com a week ago which made a compelling point about him being the best WR of the last few decades apart from Rice.

With Wentz down, surely he has to be in the MVP conversation at this point alongside Brady and Wilson. He's not a QB but basically willed the Steelers to victory the last few weeks.

Shame about Wentz :( Too many injuries to key figures this year. I really think Houston would be up there with the Jags if everyone kind of stayed healthy. And I'm still not buying the hype around their defense. It's good yeah, but they faced subpar QBs all season. Wilson is the first elite one and he throws three TDs against 'em. Also three picks but those were horrible throws more than anything else. They are the best in the league and the reason Jacksonville is 9-4 but they're not close to the LOB '13-'14 or the Broncos' D when they won the SB imo.

Not sure if anyone say the hit on the Texan's QB during the Niners game?

The NFL have said they are looking into their concussions protocol - but I did see this tweet:

The injury of Wentz is as annoying as Carr's was last year. The last playoffs were
 Sneaked past! That was some comeback, I'd have never thought possible under Brett!

Well, on to Rodger's return...
A shame it looks unlikely that winning out will be enough to make the playoffs. 10-6 might not do it in the NFC.
While I still don’t like Hundley, does anyone think he might have increased his value and we could actually trade him? The media seems to like him.

Not really. He might have wiped his reputation if we had lost, but then the Browns are abysmal. He's a 2nd string QB on plays at par with his expectations. We'll continue to have him till we develop Callahan.

One of the worst seasons ever for injuries, and the Patriots will probably walk the Superbowl. Terrible.

As an Eagles fan I am absolutely gutted. This was our chance even after losing Jason Peter's, Hicks and Darren sproles we now lose our QB. That's our season gone, will we ever win the super bowl.

I wouldn't worry too much. If Foles can repeat what he did in 2013 then you should be ok. Even if he doesn't but comes close, that should be sufficient to get to the SB.

Couldn’t happen to a classier set of fans you have to admit.

Unfortunate for Wentz, but still think they are the favs for the NFC if Foles can replicate even half of his 2013 season with the home field advantage. Huge if tho...

With Wentz we were favourites to make the SB , now I think that it will be a miracle if we win a playoff game . Need to win one of the next 2 to get a bye week as that would give the team a month to prepare but this is a brutal loss

Although I don't like Philadelphia teams, losing your QB is a tragedy. I never know why NFL teams don't recruit a good backup QB and train him to be game ready in case something happens to your QB. If your QB is injured, no matter what you have on the roster, your season is done.

Nick Foles is a decent QB, will need our running game to take over but he can get us a top 2 seed for sure

Shame about Wentz, they looked good for a decent tilt at the Super Bowl
Hard to look past Patriots v Steelers at some point deciding it

Dolphins always put up a fight against us. One of those divisional things. Same thing with the Bills and Jets, just weird.

...I got a Pats/Steelers SB vs Hawks/NFC South team. Eagles would’ve been 1 and done with or without Wentz imho. Pretenders all the way with the schedule. 1 top team they faced while they were in top form and they got demolished (Hawks). They beat the Rams but like themselves, a top team but not really an established team with the inexperienced players for the most part.

Edit: do NOT want to see Baltimore in the playoffs, at all! One of those teams that need to make it and they can beat anybody. Would literally prefer anyone else from the AFC

Poor performance against the Dolphins but then again we always perform badly down there.

Hoping it will lead to the team refocusing, we have not played well the last couple weeks.

Disappointing loss but nothing changes in regards to chasing #1 seed. Steelers look the more complete team though.
