RGIII has a career passing percentage of 65% whereas Tebow is 48%.

65% is pretty damn good...same as Tom Brady in fact! Accuracy wasn't an issue. His frailty and lack of progression was (Checking down, finding secondary options, recognizing what the opposition was giving him....)

RGIII got a raw deal from Gruden.

Obviously, he didn't do himself any favors by not putting his head down and working hard, but have you seen the level of support Cousins has gotten...now compare that to what happened with RGIII.

Lifelong Skins fan and I'll never forget that rookie season - he was brilliant. I still think, RGIII can go on to have a decent career in the NFL - Tebow is fecking shit, he simply can't throw.

Before I agree with you that Tebow is shit, can we establish that neither of us is ever going to win this debate? :)

Now then: Ofcourse Tebow is shit but so is RG3: His rookie season when he had good numbers, everything was built around him. The plays were extremely simple. The field was spread out wide so all he needed to was go through his checkdowns and if noone was open he would take off. At the end pof that season defenses had figured it out and his numbers went down drastically. He then tore his ACL and he lost his mobility and far worse, his own character let him down. He didn't want to get better, his former teammates called him names in the media. (nothing too offensive but clear enough to know they didn't like him).

Last August (yes, 2015) he called himself the best QB in the NFL ...come on. and the problem is not that he thinks it because he needs that attitude to compete but to say it out loud when he's been messing up for 3 years straight.

My point is simply as a back-up which TJ Yates will be as well (as per original discussion) I rather have the guy who will support the starter and can run a couple of plays than RGIII with his mesed-up attitude

Just wait 'till Dez gets back this week or next :drool::drool: Although Romo probably won't be back before 22th of November :(

And wtf, Randle was arrested for shoplifting? A mult-millionaire? Does my head in.

Tricky game tonight against Miami but expect us to win again with it being a home game.

Hopefully Lewis is back.

Dion is supposed to be back but although the offense of Miami is very good at the moment, the defense is not good enough to stop Brady.

This game starting an hour earlier for us is dangerous in that I now seem to be staying up to watch..

00h25 in England, yeah. Awesome that the games are an hour earlier now (only for a while though, I think)!

I think their clocks go back this weekend unfortunately.

Threw me last Sunday as I missed a load of the games.

Dangerous though. Luckily I've not got any lectures tomorrow because I'll be staying up for this, and probably won't be able to help myself watching the other earlier games either in the future.

Not really a NFL thing - but the cnuts at ESPN have decided to close down www.grantland.com effective immediately.

We all knew it was going to happen once Simmons left, but to end it like this...scum. Yet, First Take continues

Jarryd Hayne the Aussie rugby league player from the parramatta eels has been waived by the Niners.

He might get a spot in the practice squad, but fact is he simply wasn't good enough. His multiple fumbles made him expendable in a struggling team.

His stats -
8 carries for 25 yards
8 returns 76 yards
2 lost fumbles

Off to Wembley tomorrow..after the shite we've been served up recently, enjoying a sporting event will be a bit of a novelty.

Awesome. Enjoy Ameer Abdullah's 100 yard game (I hope) :)

Ha, cheers but more likely to see Stafford throw 0 interceptions than that :)

My wife is a Lions fan (as is a mate who's going), so of course I'll be cheering on the Chiefs...although as a Broncos fan, I won't upset to see them lose.

You'll have to inform us tomorrow about the atmosphere and how the game was/how it felt to watch the Lions lose

I know this is a NFL thread, but did anyone happen to watch the Michigan Wolverines game that just finished? Only saw the last 5 minutes or so, but what a game that was!

There's no college thread......craziest ending to a game I've ever seen in Miami v Duke moments ago.

And to Wembley we go for game no.3.

Going to have a lot of beer

I have to say, last 2 matches I missed us vs Arsenal and City. And yet, a year ago I'd have been so upset. This year I don't even care that much.

Testament to how enjoyable the NFL is, and how boring LVG is.

Some good games this weekend, Rodgers against the Bronocs D with a combination of a misfiring/injured receiver core.

Seahawks who have struggled against a Dallas with a returning WR and a QB who imploded last week.

Across the league I feel like the match ups are all close. Don't expect many huge blow outs but you never know.

10 hours + of footbawwwwwl.

Not that I'm watching it all but that's fun. Agree with you re: NFL and LVG @rpitroda .

I'll have it on for a good 5 hours :D

For some reason I expect the Steelers-Bengals game to be a really good one.
Expect a huge game from AB now Big Ben is back. A Steelers win would make things interesting again in the AFC North.
